Hall of Freedom, Palace of Peace, New Theeb, Vetaka:

The Hall of Freedom was empty the Press Conference had been deliberately kept private because of security reasons in the wake of Ennusisian Crisis. As a result a lone cameraman and a few aides stood in the room. The broadcast would be fed live to media groups around the world. The United Federation of Allied Nations was suffering somewhat of an internal problem. One that was causing more and more problems for the Alliance and it was only a matter of time before that problem became a crack. Standing behind the glass podium which had the words "The Free Dominion of Vetaka" written across it and in front of the massive flag of the Vetakan Dominion.

Pearce gazed at the camera his suit immaculate and his papers stacked and ready. An aide counted down before the broadcast began Pearce smiled and began:

"Good Evening, Ladies and Gentleman of Vetaka, Ladies and Gentleman of the United Federation of Allied Nations I stand here tonight to discuss an issue and issue that threatens to destroy the United Federation. This is something that I cannot allow and if I have anything to do with it will not occur ever. I have since the founding treaty of the United Federation distanced myself from Alliance affairs allowing the Federation to make its decisions on its own. However I cannot stand back any longer the membership of the Londinium Commonwealth threatens to destroy the Federation. It threatens to destroy everything we have achieved. The whispers through the nations of the Federation can no longer go ignored. This Federation is based upon the ideals of Truth, Honour and Freedom. The High Council exists not to control the Alliance but to ensure it can make Operational Decsions when such decisions are required however such decisions must be accepted by the Alliance on the whole as such issues like the Londinium Commonwealth Membership Application must be voted upon by the Alliance as whole. This ensures Transparency and ensures this Alliance shall remain strong and true to its members. As such I as founder of the United Federation put the Commonwealths Membership to a general vote by all UFAN Members if the Commonwealth passes the vote it will join the Federation if it loses the vote it will not enter the Federation and will be forbidden from making further applications for a period no less than 90 Nationstates Years (3 RL Months). If the Commonwealth passes the vote with a less than 3 majority it will enter the Federation on probationary status. This affair has officially ended."

With that the Camera died and the ballot began.

The Vetalian delegation rose, reading its statement to the assembled from a PDA. The message was simultaneously sent in text form to all delegates, should they wish to review the various unmentioned addenda for their own interest later.

"We believe that the Londinians have shown their commitment to pursuing a new path in international affairs and that they deserve another chance in this organization. As a result, we support their readmission to the UFAN but nonetheless encourage the alliance to impose some kind of probationary status as a way of testing their commitment. This will prevent any undue risks to the organization as well as give those involved the opportunity to see whether or not the Commonwealth deserves readmission."

"We feel this is a clear compromise between our own fond relations with the Londinians as well as with the leaders of the UFAN, who have expressed concern from time to time about the risks this nation poses to the alliance. The Vetalian Empire hereby votes yea on the readmission of the Londinian Commonwealth to the UFAN, but urges that a probationary period be imposed in the event of a successful bid, no matter the voting total."

The Brydog delegate raises and coughs before giving his opinon. "We, The Lord Chancellorship of Brydog, don't believe in allowing Londinium Commonwealth in UFAN. They have a history of disrepecting human rights and engaging in hostile actions. We gave one chance and they failed with that. We must not allow a nation that threatens ours and the world's security be part of our organization. We decided NO to their membership, They already had too many chances."

Message from: President foster
To: the UFAN
Subject: vote

The government of the democratic Federation agrees with the nation of Brydog, and believes that BL is a rouge state and should not be eligible for re membership, at least until a comprehensive change of foreign policy on their part happens.

OOC: After BL's homeland was wiped out by AMF, I think that perhaps it is time to give his new government a second chance to write the wrongs of their predecessors. I vote yes.

UFAN membership:

A cursory reading of the history of British Londinium shows a nation with the fatal flaw of being a legend in their own minds. Their cruelty is matched by thier stupidity, and their hostility is coupled with ineptness.

However, the most dangerous thing about British Londinium is that despite the above-mentioned deficiencies, they are adept at one of Master Tzu's most compelling directives: "All strategy is based on deception."

Xeraph votes NO.
