Message from the Grand Proxy of the Caronian Elders
To the leaders of the world,
Our small nation has grown quietly, isolated from the rest of the world. But today the Elders have made a decision that will change our nation forever. Our borders and territory, which has been long closed to foreigners, have been opened to global trade and diplomacy. They have assured us that if we enter into the international scene, we will prosper and grow as a nation.
Many of you may not know much about Caronis. We are a small nation, mainly agricultural. We have a theocratic system of government. Our leaders are the Elders, seven esteemed men and women who rule as our religion's God's emissaries on Earth. They rule for life, and when one dies, the remaining Elders consult an ancient prophecy written by the first Elders to seek for signs of who should be chosen as the next Elder. Once that person is found, they are appointed and the cycle continues. They serve as the legislators and executives for Caronis, and as the highest judges.
It is the hope of the Elders and all of our nation that opening relations with fellow nations across the world will lead to beneficial results for all of those involved.
