Fortitor Military Forces invaded disputed, outlying territories (http://www.nationstates.net/fortitorian_territory), crushing meager patches of rebel opposition groups and setting up a repressive, totalitarian regime in the conquered region.

The military-run government runs the annexed state through force and fear, silencing any opposition through torture and swift execution. There are unconfirmed reports that women and children are forced to work in sweat-shops manufacturing household appliances, military arms and haute coutre fashion articles. These labor camps are said to be run by Fortune 500 companies in Fortitor and, rumor has it, abroad.

Male children who escape bondage into slavery are brainwashed and inducted into defense forces for the conquered territories.

John Stercus, dictator for life of Fortitor, stated before collected journalists: "These attacks are nothing for the international community to be concerned about. Consider it natural selection at work. Just as the lion eats the gazelle, so too must weaker nations be devoured by stronger nations."

"Look," he continued, taking puffs from a massive hand-rolled cigarette, "for my people to be free they need a good quality of life, and to do that they need cheap goods, damn it, and if a few million foreigners have to die or be enslaved, so be it."

"They should have been able to defend themselves in the first place!" he spat before retreating into his stretch armored car/limousine.

Above the sea floated a small airship, only 5 metres long. Its tiny payload consisted almost exclusivly of many spy instruments including cameras, RADAR, electronic detection packages, infared cameras and laser range-finders.
The 100x zoom lens soon had a view of the coast of Fortitor, and was relaying through a satellite link the data, highly encrypted. Once finished, it let the wind carry it over to the land, as it had been carried for all its journey.

The Allied States of Burgundians condemns Fortitor's acts of tyranny and murder and demands that it withdraws from the conquered territories.

Off the coast of Fortitor a lone Beriev A-50U 'Mainstay' soared in international waters. Taking off from a base in Saharistan and being refueled midair in 3 hours to allow it enough fuel to return to Saharistan, the aircraft monitored transmissions coming from Fortitor.

It caught the dictator's message and tightbeamed it up to an orbiting satellite. The Leafanistani Government would monitor the small nation and begin gathering intelligence on it.

In a few hours a nuclear ballistic missile submarine would be dispatched to the ocean near Fortitor to act as Leafanistan's big stick.

It would take 4 days to arrive at flank speed, and 2 days to get within range of its ballistic missiles.

We must inform you that several of our government officials and their 30 or so servants were on a diplomatic mission in one of these provinces during your invasion. We know from their last transmission that your soldiers raided their complex and despite our citizens protests, were probably enslaved due to your soldiers uttler lack of respect for diplomatic immunity. Surrender these officials and their employees at once or we will be forced to take hostile action.

Alfegos: Your spy plane has detected one nuclear silo capable of holding a maximum of 5 ICBMs.

Leafanistan: Fortitor's Navy has not detected the nuclear submarine of yet.

OOC: I figure you intend to use the nuclear sub as a bargaining chip. Has word of the sub gone public yet, or are you gonna keep the world in dark a little while?

Logan: At a press conference today a visibly drunk John Stercus commented on a recent disappearance of Foreign Dignitaries in the disputed territories, "Well, this is quite unfortunate," he continues after a pause, "In the spirit of International Friendship, we'll set out a search for these missing diplomats. If our corporate mercenaries and defense forces haven't killed them for dissidence yet, that is." he stops, letting out a belch and taking another swig of his beer, "But, don't worry, don't worry, they're probably just being whipped into making toasters and espresso machines for General Electric or something! I'm sure our boys haven't brought out the genital clamps yet..."

Laughter filled the cool night air. It wasn't so much joyous laughter, but rather the laughter you hear when you are being made fun of. Sure enough, in this cool desert night, someone was being made fun of.

"I don't get it." The soft spoken aid said, the warm light of the reading lamps not fully showing the confusion on her face.

"It's a tin pot backwoods dictatorship saying, and I quote, 'Just as the lion eats the gazelle, so too must weaker nations be devoured by stronger nations.'. They're basicly claiming a place on the ladder of power." responded the young Kisikil, current Dictator of Sumer. She handed the paper to her aid, it had been given to her that afternoon but she was not quick to read reports like that when she was on her leave.

"So, how is that funny?" The aid asked, reading quickly over the report.

"What do you think it would take us to do to that nation what it has done to it's neighbor? I doubt we'd have to do much more then threaten to deploy the Guard. I doubt they could defend against a single regiment, let alone any minor task force we can muster." Kisikil said, holding back her giggles as she shifted herself on the couch she was resting on.

Oh, I get it. Ha, that's is a good one!" The aid responded, bursting out into laughter, joined quickly by Kisikil.

I apologize, you seem to have misinterpreted my nations actions. Our task force, is simply there to keep the peace, observed he situation, and, if we deem necessary, intervene to help. Which side we decide to help will be determined by the actions that we observe. If you insist our fleet will move further out into international waters.

5 km Outside Foritorian Airspace

The MC-17E transport had flown nonstop from McMurdy Airbase to its current location, refueling six times along the way. Once the plane reached the predesignated point it side door opened and four men jumped into the freezing wind.

The paratroopers rapidly begin to decend, they had jumped at almost 45,000 feet. The team deployed it's chutes shortly after exiting the plane and easily drifted to Foritorian soil. All in all it was a perfectly executed HAHO jump.

The four man SAS team proceeded to bury their chutes and get on the move. They had to cover ten kilometers to their first hide site before dawn broke.

It was going to be a long mission.

The headlines on Leocardia's international news media had shown on the television screen, and Jason was watching it. He squinted his eyes and stared down at the headlines. The moment he read it, he leapt out of his couch and went to his phone. He scribbled numbers down with his fingers and pressed the call button. "Yeah, it's me... Yeah, its just that- Sure... Check out LNN, about Fortitor. Yeah, I want some guys checking them out." He hung the phone up and went back to his couch.

Approximately 22:00 near the Fortitor coast

A Juki Superdreadnaught drifted into the ocean, very close to the Fortitor coast, from a patrolling fleet aiming to protecting Leocardian trade routes. Its route was sure, and orders were from the LMOCC. Inside the ship, 10 amphibious crafts were docked. Each craft contained 250 soldiers and 10 Type 96 tanks. But the orders were not to invade Fortitor, but rather station as idlers.

A U-2 spy plane was launched from the ship and flown into Fortitor, accelerating rapidly in the sky, the purpose was to snap some photos, provide evidence that Fortitor was really mistreatining its people, and come back out without a scratch. However, the admiral of the Juki feared that the enemy would shoot the U-2 plane down. The plane flew and snapped a few off the coast and flew inward more toward the nearest city.

At Alfegos High Command, New Zevkhay

"We have let the spy platform float directly over their nation. It'll be picked up, but should soon throw up more items like this."

The screen showed a sharp image of a nuclear missile silo.

"Once they shoot down the spy platform, we launch operation Arm Break. Understood?"

Across the ocean
A small Snake-class BM sub changed course, ready in range to fire its 5 SLBMs at the enemy installations. ETA was a day at most.

Concordian Cosmodrome

A single modified ballistic missile was on the launch pad. It was a Volna, and it was being raised to a vertical position. Built out of scrapped ballistic missiles, the Volna were cheap, expendable, and very plentiful. It was a beautiful morning. 55 degrees, and sunny. A cool breeze moved over the facility and at 12:09 GMT, the V-992 was launched, ostensibly to launch a new weather satellite.

Of course people had an idea of what was happening. Some sort of cloak and dagger operation, not secret enough to justify a submarine launch, but secret enough to lie about its purpose. Blogs and forums buzzed with activity. Some said it was a new military weather satellite to disperse mind control gas, others said it was yet another microsatellite, these saner people, advocated either a space mine, another satellite to spy on spy satellites, or a micro spy sat to monitor a dangerous situation but not for too long as the micro satellite would easily drift out of orbit.

Since it was the internet the consensus was that it was a weather satellite that fired lasers to heat up clouds to disperse mind control gas.

OOC: No, the boomer's movements are private, they are staying well away from other fleets to prevent 'friendly' fire.

Foritor, Near LZ Victor

The SAS team slowly approached the battered SUV parked alone in a small clearing near their LZ. The SUV and the duffel bags inside had been left there a few hoursd ago by a NDI operative already in country.

The bags contained civillian clothes, documents, and 100,000 Pounds worth of local currency. Once the team was dressed in civie garb and had their gear stashed in the truck they set out on their way.

At Sea

The newly organized Force F had quietly moved into positions near Foritorian waters. Twenty-two ships, including an aircraft carrier, ten amphibous assault ships, and several escorts and tenders was a formidable force in its own right. It's power was only increased when one considered the capabilities of the fully equipped Marine regiments the amphibs carried in their holds. While no action was planned at present it never hurt to be prepared.

Two carrior task forces are being sent to patrol just outsid Fortitor's waters.

Some distance from the seas of Fortitor, was the Zoingonian colony of New Providence, the jewel of the entire strand of the colonies of the great country. Its harbours were bustling with constant trade with other nations, and the wealth of the colony soared to inexplisable hights. It however, was a reatively peacefull colony, and was rather untouched by the wars and invasions going on in the mainland. It did however, contain its own milita and small navy to protect the merchants and plantation owners that grew several crops on the island, which served the colony very well. But the royal govenor of New Providence grew incresingly warry of the events going on in the mainland, and held is breath to see if they were eyed next by Fortitor......

An element of Special Tactics Force agents, who where in the area when Fortitor forces commenced their invasion. During the invasion, they caught with their gas mask cameras/lens the killing of several Federation Army Infantrymen. After these soldiers had died, the Fortitor forces looted the armor off of them, cut the flags from their uniforms and tossed them into a fire. This video was the confirmation of the hostilities commited by Fortitor.

Now, the Agents had been ordered to kill a substantial amount of people; Civilian, corporate, government, anyone in allegiance to Fortitor. They would do this with cannisters filled with various air-toxins, including Anthrax and the Federation's special-made "Aroma therapy for life" gas, which was similar to VX Nerve gas, only more concentrated. These cannisters were kept in their backpacks, which were padded to be sound-proof. These agents would be arriving at night time, which was when their uniforms offered the best camouflage ability, as the STF uniforms were stark black. As night fell, the team entered the outskirts of the downtown section, staying away from the streets and other sources of light.

The Polis Inquisitus had determined that the human rights violations in the disputed territories were great enough to justify millitary action. Emperor Mundus had approved the action plan within a day of recieving it. Belkaros had just reunited with its motherland of Fonzuania, and the Emperor was excited to test the abilities of his troops, as well as to aquire more land for his now vast empire.

A battlegroup of 7 carriers, 5 battleships, 2 Belkan leviathans, 10 destroyers, 10 cruisers, 15 frigates, 10 submarines and 1 ballistic missile submarine were en route to the territory. Far overhead in space, missiles on Belkan and Fonzuanian millitary satellites blinked to life and took aim at their terestrial targets. Nearly 60,000 infantrymen and Centurions awaited deployment, alongside 10,000 various tanks, 6,000 APCs and 150 artillery units. Also waiting for action were 40 bomber divisions and 180 SU-90 fighter jets.

Emperor Gnaeus Mundus I, speaking from the balcony of the Imperial Palace in Belkar to a large crowd before him, and via cameras, the world, made the following statement : People of the disputed territories now controled by Fortitor, fear not. The might of the Belkan and Fonzuanian peoples is on your side. Soon you will be citizens in the greatest empire this world will ever know, and your service to this Fortitian scum will be but a dark stain on your history. Rise up, and fight for your right to liberty! Through me, you shall be free!"

With the completion of the message, the satellite missiles were launched, and 30 bomber attack groups, escoreted by air superiority fighters, opened fire on the Fortitor military complexes in the disputed territory.

Soon after the Belkaros Empire finished their transmission, GRIFFITH-II decided it was time for him to take the television screens as well.

He stood up from his office chair and walked down the light-gray carpet that was rolled from the steps to his desk to the door. The floor it was on was dark gray, nearly black. He opened the tall, walnut doors to his office, and his STF bodyguards turned to face his direction. When he passed, they followed him. He entered his elevator, and simply said "Lobby." After this, the Specialist in charge of the Fire Team hit the button marked "L." As soon as the doors opened, news reporters and cameramen were charging the elevator. More STF guards came from within the lobby, blocking them off. As usual, they kept the crowd away from the Grand Commander's empty "circle" of walkspace by beating those who came too close with electro-batons. He stepped outside of the Spire, a massive tower that reached beyond the clouds. His office was on the top floor. He stepped upon the flagpole's top step, and almost on cue, a group of men brought stereo equipment and a podium to him. The Grand Commander looked unprotected, but in reality, he had nearly 200 STF agents, as well as countless MPCCU officers and Army soldiers covering every vantage point within the Sector of Magna Polis in which the Spire resided.

"Citizens of the Grand World Order, an atrocity has been committed against the Federation. Fortitor forces were caught on film killing members of the Federation Army, who were deployed in the region to secure Federation assets there. The Fortitor soldiers then looted their corpses, cut the Federation flags off of the uniforms and threw them in fires, and dragged the bodies through the streets like animals. For this, Fortitor must repay our fallen with more lives. I am sending a force of 60,000 Army personnel, 15,000 Marines, 40 arranged warships ranging from aircraft carriers to nuclear submarines, and any other materials that the personnel there require. I will not bother to claim Fortitor; Their land is altogether valueless in my eyes."

The crowd let out a roar of approval, honking car horns and waving Federation flags.

Meanwhile, as the Belkaros planes passed over the fleet headed towards Fortitor, the ships sent out a non-hostile request for identification signal.

The Belkan aircraft identified themselves to the NWO fleet and headed on to their targets. Behind them, the leviathans and battleships opened fire on the cost of the disputed territories, prepairing to land their forces.

Onboard the NWO battleships, a message from the Belkan Grandis Admiralis Hohner, detailing a joint strike plan he had drawn up. He also asked if they had been considering the Emperor's telegram, and that he was looking foreward to fighting alongside the NWO forces.

However be advised that Tolvanic naval and air units are operating in the area and ANY aggresion against them will be considered an act of war and will be met with sufficent force to remove your militaries from existence.

The actions taken by your government in both the invasion of surrounding nations and your actions in communication with other nations prove that you are unfit to be in control of anything, let alone an entire nation. If we could, your nation would be invaded and your head placed on a stick until a sensible government could be put in power. However, we are involved in several conflicts and so our expeditionary forces are stretched thin. We can see that numerous nations have already taken action upon you and we applaud them for doing so. Since we can not offer large scale deployment, we would instead like to deploy administrative staff and advisors to assist in this theater. As soon as a multi-national base is established, we will send our forces. In addition, we would also like to contribute 1.7 Billion dollars to the war effort, to be used to repair damages done during the war and support a new government when it is put in place.

The actions of Fortitor are too extreme to be allowed to continue through the tedious negotiations of a peace talk. Thank you, this trully is a step towards our colony being safe and secure from that hostile and barbaric naition. We thank you for the understanding the needs of Zoingo, and most certainly we can split territory evenly amongst us. But, I'm also conserned with the countries already conquered, and I feel that as a rolemodel in the world, we should go in and restore the countrys, and treat them as they were our own citizens untill the governments in the regions can restabilize. And the entire nation of Fortitor cannot be blamed for this atrocity, but its government, and I say that the same principles should apply to the citizens there, except having a regime change. Also I'm not usually into international politics, so can you tell me of my last countries' alliance with Belkaros?

Our nations have worked together to restabalize Southeastern Greenland. Also, your President was one of the national leaders who met in person with the Emperor to help him gain a fuller understanding of international relations. While neither was a true alliance, both occasions have left the Emperor with nothing but goodwill and hope of cooperation for your nation. Your people's plans for restabalization are acceptable, and once we can gain a grasp for the effectiveness of our attack, we will recomence the invasion with those goals in mind. Our nation would also like to extend an invitation to join the alliance between Belkaros, Southeastern Greenland and The New World Order.
