Demonted

HEADLINE NEWS

It is with deepest regret that your correspondent reports today on the death of our dear President Ronald Dorn. While at a rally in the capital of N'Gya, Ronald Dorn was shot and killed by a sniper round. Acting President Dan Dorn has urged for calm from the public, as well as the investigation into the incident. It is rumored that the military was involved, due to rising speculations about the former president's intention of cutting down the military budget. In the meantime, protests are breaking out throughout the country about the death, with both the military and police having trouble dealing with the unrest. The acting president urges all nations possible to please send troops to help hold off the increasing protestors.

URGENT

200 000 members of the Demonted military have defected to join the protestors. Terrorist attacks have also begun, with the most recent being the bombing of the subways station. A state of emergency has been declared by the acting president, as well as a renewed plea for help from outside nations. Meanwhile, the province of S'Mye has defected from Demonted, thus hightening fears that the rogue nation may collapse upon itself. Dan Dorn has seen this as an act of treason, and has ordered for the imediate retaking of the province by the loyal military. Also, he has asked for any and all help from allied nations, as well as offering favorable economic conditions to those helpful nations once the situation has stabilized

The Government of Demonted thanks Southeastern Greenland for its help

Recently we have just finished a sweep of the area around S'Mye and have located what amounts to 50 anti-aircraft turrets in the rogue province. These appear to have been recently built, and as such the Government of Demonted would like to warn you about the possibility of losses to your fighters. Also, could you please give us an estimate of how long until your troops arrive? That way we can have a joint operation with both the Military of Demonted and Southeatern Greenland attack at the same time with a two-pronged attack.

Sincerely Yours

In the still burning remains of Neo Savannah, a large navy base still held several aircraft carriers, destroyers, and battleships; preparing to move out as anarchy began to rule the city and the easterly wind brought in radiation from the bombs detonated near Atlantinia. As the ships were about to head out towards the north, they got a sudden re order of where to go. "(coordinates)", Commodore Ahab read, "with the Sectary of Defense's security clearance on them, its official."

"Well, we must do as we are ordered." Stated Captain Acer Yera.

"Then inform the fleet, we are off to do something." Said the Commodore.

Then the fleet headed towards Demonted.

Once they got close to Demonted waters, they received another message:
"TOP SECRET

You are to take this area, kill any who resist, ask no questions, take prisoners if they surrender, but we don't have much use for them, set up camps for them. Establish firm Confederate control over the area. Take as much as you can. We are not looking for a great amount of land, we want security over amount. Be persistent and keep me informed over a secure connection.

Shortly after that the fleet pushed deeper into Demonted waters. The main fleet stayed about a kilometer off shore, and the landing craft pushed into as shallow of water as they could. Then Seahawk helicopters took off from the landing craft and dropped commandos with AKM rifles and MP7A1's onto the beach. If no opposition was met with, the commandos and other soldiers would begin to set up prefabricated structures on the shores and steak out further territory for the Echo Islands' colony.

The Grand World Order is currently sending approximately 2,000 Federal Guardsmen (Federation National Police) for assistance with Riot Control and various Law Enforcement. With these agents come about 200 Riot Suppression Attack Vehicles, ready to spring upon any sort of gathering upon request. We are also sending a battalion of Special Tactics Force commandoes to assist in combating terror cells, as well as to be more riot control, if nessecary. This group will stay aboard several ships of the Federation Navy's 46th Seafleet. They will be led by General Beltway, and will land wherever they are needed.

The Territory of New Brookhaven

This was a time when Echonia needed to expand. The bombing of Georgia Island had devastated the country and displaced tens of millions. And the saying applies here: ‘If you claim it they will come.’ Therefore, they did. A million people, mostly arriving by small boats and helicopters flying in the lucky ones, the motley crowd of Hectorians, Davisers, and New Cubans was a sight to be seen as they disembarked from a long and stressful journey. Many had only what they could carry from their homes. The twin wars had ravaged the south, and these people looked for nothing more than freedom and peace; which was good, because they would have to make everything else.

A great thing about living in a territory instead of a state is that, while you don’t get to vote, you don’t have to follow by federal law, only territorial, which are usually basic laws to keep order, the Navy men currently were the enforcers of these few laws. The biggest idea to the colonists was capitalism. Free from the socialist ideals of the Senate, free to do as they pleased as long as it did not hurt the environment too much.

A lucky man named Bobby Reja had been quite wealthy in his insurance business back in Neo Savanna, and could still access his accounts and because his business was now destroyed, he liquidated his assets and brought solar panels, lots of solar panels. When the panels arrived Reja Power became the power service for the people. It was shortly followed by Upson Power which used tidal to generate electricity. The competition made for cheap prices and good reliability.

Equally lucky was a man named Samuel Bryant, a stock investor from when the nation was capitalist. He had seen the socialists were going to win the next election and had sold out. He now used his money to make a giant dock for ships to port at. This dock led to another, and another, and once a fishing industry started up, the port became the City of Bryant and the capital of the territory.

A government was set up with only a council and no clear leader. With a government plan similar to the Articles of Confederation of the United States, but with a tyranny by majority ideal with only 51% needed for a pass of a law. There was only a group of representative for each sector of the territory and it had no clear leader. The Government had made sure they were not governing from a shack either. The massive and elaborate Council Hall was like a palace of marble and limestone.

Being a territory, it felt like being in a whole different Country at times. The national flag rarely flew here, usually it was the territorial flag[above], but everyone was still proud to call themselves Echoese and ties with the main nation remained strong.

Within a few months, the new lands were a sprawling city, flourishing farms, and a tourist attraction all in one.

We still recognize Demonted as a Sovereign State, and these lands are ours by right of conquest. Many of the Demonted citizens seemed to desire a haven from the impending civil war, and we gave them that. The greatness of this territory has shown the success of Operation: Coffee Bean, which unannounced at first, true, but was announced with its success impending. Stealth is a tactic, and it is to be implemented well. Demonted so far has put forth little effort to resist this annexation. Also, this annexation has brought stability and economic security to the region, and the mean income has soared. You only seem to look at the bad of the annexation, not the good it has brought to the people, and if it is not the people that really matter than what does?

I would believe you, if it not for the fact that your country is in ruin and your homeland in anarchy. This is nothing but an attempt to try and regain some ground after you have been crippled. I warn you again: Get out or we make you get out. The reason why Demonted has not put up a hesitance because if you did not notice, they are in a state of civil and most of there army has turned against them. Do you wish to be crippled again? For the sake of the soldiers you have left, leave that country or I will make the pain of your country ten times worse then it already is.

Aimless von Strangaild.

Already, The Zackarothian navy ports where getting ready. Battle cruisers and aircraft getting primed and ready to go. Soldiers being picked and formed into squads. The Citadel in the capital was buzzing with activity as military leaders began to formulate plans of attack to free the captured province. Zackaroth was not going to let this one slip through its fingers.

NEVER did the government fall to anarchy on a national or even state level, and only the City of Atlantinia truly fell out of control of the government, but one must remember, that was after a near hit from multiple nuclear warheads. And we do currently have control of the city. A brief Civil War did commence over the control of the south, but the two sides reconciled under Akimonad and the old constitution. But there was always was SOME government. What is true is that we have over 100 million people homeless, and no where to put them in our nation. So far we have coped with help from the Kiravian Empire, the Commonwealth of Australisia, and this territory. This was not a genocidal raid or a land grab, this was a concise move to liberate people from civil war and relocate a percentage of the population. The nature of the conciseness of this operation in itself defeats the argument that this nation is anywhere near anarchy.

Giving us 24 hours to pull out is ridiculous! This is like asking the United States (in rl) to get its citizens out of Hawaii in 24 hours! This is a heavily colonized place, and what of the Demonted Citizens all of whom now have Echoese Citizenship? What do we do with them? And you are being what you are trying to defeat by invading a sovereign nation without the aim of ending the civil war! You have no objective but to kill and take over; at least we came in with a decent reason, and with the aim of bringing stability! What exactly do you want us to do? You say 'pull out' what does that mean? What if we just surrender the territory to the Demonted government and have our citizens retain dual citizenship? What if we just pull our military forces out? You've given us a logistically impossible and unclear ultimatum and expect us to make magic and read your mind. We do not want war, but if you are so belligerent as not to practice any form of diplomacy other than an ultimatum, then we will take it.

Yes. I believe you are right. That 24 hour pull out was a tad over the top. Just like invading another nation in the midst of them fighting a civil war and not being able to respond appropriately. I never really expected you to pull out. That’s why I kept myself vague. But seeing as you yourself just offered up some ideas I think I'll throw them around at you. Leave that area of Demonted; remove all your military personal and weaponry from the said area, return the land to Demonted Government and the citizens shall choose themselves whether they want to dual citizenship. We will officially allow ownership of the territory to Demonted. However, to stop rebel attacks, we will maintain a 300 man defense unit, with a small detachment of aircraft and mechanized forces, clearly not an invasion force, but in the midst of civil war, security is not a commodity taken for granted, would you not agree? Once the civil war is over, we will remove this last bit of military. It is pointless to bring stability to a region just to have it destroyed by rebels. Note that this force complements the Demonted Government forces, not opposes them. This is to help the Demonted government retain sovereignty over the area, not take it away. Note that the territory has of now been returned to its former Demonted control. Finally, there has been a poll set to be had soon for the citizens to vote on their citizenship status.

Headline News

Breaking News! The government of Dan Dorn has been overthrown by Demonted's military service, and a state of emergency has been announced. General Ben Lazi, commander in chief of the armed forces, has this to say about the coup d'etat

"The military was responsible for the assasination of Ronald Dorn due to the fact that he had been seen conspiracing with leaders of the Far Echo Islands in order to secede part of the national land of Demonted. As such, we felt that we had a duty to remove him as chief-of-state once we saw him unfit for service. However, the former acting president was no better, having done absoulutly nothing to help curb the insurection by the Far Echo Islands and only letting foreign powers do the work for them. When Dan Dorn announced the plausible peace treaty with the Far Echo Islands along with the seccesion of part of Demonted, we decided that a coup d'etat was the only option left. As of today, all citizens and military personnel of the Far Echo Islands are ordered to leave the Rogue Nation of Demonted immediatly. Also, any nations besides the Far Echo Islands willing to help Demonted rebuild are welcomed to send in peacekeepers. The military will officialy relenquish control of the leadership of Demonted once we see fit that the nation is stable enough. Only then, will the state-of-emergency also be called off."

To The Nation Demonted,

As much as the government would like to send aid we cannot as we are still debating whether to involve ourselves in a conflict that should be resolved in it's own nation. We will how ever deploy a few thousand men near your border just in case we decide to intervene. We highly disregard terrorism and would like to prevent terrorist attacks we will have an official response on this matter with in hours.

is there a map?

what kind of civil war is this, is one region fighting another, trying to secede, is it more of a coup d'eat, general unrest of the citizens, and fighting to overthrow the government, or something else entierly?

The Rogue Nation of Demonted thanks Somiland for its attention to this conflict, as well as recognizing the mutual interest in preventing terrorism.

The Rogue Nation of Demonted also thanks Bulgoria for the recent arrival of its troops in Demonted. However, we would like to warn Bulgoria from attempting any rash action, especially with regard to medical care for the sick and wounded. Although we may have a conflcit going on with the Far Echo Islands, The Rogue Nation of Demonted is first and foremost a civilized country, and as such we feel it is our duty to not obstruct the wounded, even if they are our enemies. As such, we would like to inform Bulgoria from acting aggresively towards The Baum Peninsula. This way, one can focus on the true enemy and not on misinterpreting one's allies.

Chief of Staff Sturm,

Please accept this case of fine wine from my personal cellar, as a way of apology for the mispelling of your name and for insinuating that you were acting agressiven towards our hospital ships. It is just that they are manned by medical staff only and thus, they misread the situation. They are also under the command of the Surgeon-General, who is a close friend and valued confidant, so I sometimes take what he says as a given.

Karaliotnikov Artillery in vast numbers (300 ordered especially for Demonted). They can shoot a snail in 12 miles.Serious gunpower,be adviced.
Tents, temporary buildings and such are built,or beeing built atm.
All in all we formed quite a base on your territory, without your permission.I am sorry for that, and i will order the fleet to go in international waters right away if there is a problem :/

Please,be adviced that the peace force is highly patriotic, and be sure our and your units dont insult each other in this form, because i cannot control a soldiers mind if it goes mad...
Our army is thought to stand up for their allies as brothers.Do not be suprised if the units start acting as brothers.

BREAKING NEWS

There has been an explosion in a school in the Southern Baum Peninsula State of Attica. Peninsula 24/7 cannont confirm anything yet, but it is believed that the school is Spectrum High, who's most famous pupil is Marc Shaddock, the only child of the Federal President. This leads us to speculate that the explosion could be in connection with President Shaddock's decison to involve the Federation in the Demonted Civil. No comment has come from the President's office in Citadel of Liberty, but sources believe that the President is en route the the state as we speak

A relatively new terrorist group calling itself 'Freedom for Demonted' has claimed responsiblity for the recent attack in The Baum Peninsula, saying that Federal President James Shaddock was helping to prop up an illegitimate president, thus leading them to have no choice but to retailiate in the name of freedom for 'an oppresed country'. The spokesman for this group, Ali Nat has warned that more attacks would follow in the coming days if The Baum Peninsula did not immediatly withdraw its support for Demonted, as well as to withdraw its personnel. Ali Nat also said that attacks would happen in Bulgoria if it too did not withdraw all its citizens and troops, as well as its support for the so-called military dictatorship'.

Question: Is Demonted dealing with full scale civil war at this point or is it just various terrorist groups. And what are all these factions called. And their leaders.

We are willing to host peace negotiations between all factions involved in this current crisis. We also urge the military to guarentee a return to the normal state of government following the end of this crisis. Breaking News

We now cross live to the Citadel of Liberty, where the Federal President's Personal Private Secretary, Sandra Jones will make an announcement:

Statement on Behalf of the Federal President

My fellow citizens, it is with great sadness that I address you today, for yesterday my only son was taken from me in what can only be described as an unprovoked terrorist attack.

According to Demonted news reports, a group known Freedom for Demonted were behind the attack. I can confirm that this is not the case. How do I know this? Simple. The Baum Peninsula is the primary financial backer of Freedom of Demonted, as we are to all liberal parties and groups in oppresive nations. Many people say are defence budget is pitiful, but what you have never known is how much we spend funding foreign freedom fighters like Ali Nat. I can catagorically say it was 100% not Freedom of Demonted behind this attack and that our intelligence services are working round the clock to find out who was.

Now, I know this is a bold confession to make to you, but I feel that my son should not of died for nothing. Why do you think we sent aid asap? Why do you think we keep demanding fair and free elections? Because we did not want the situation to deteriate. Sadly, it has in the worst possible way. I ask to be given time for me to mourn, and to make funeral arrangements. He will be buried beside his late mother.

In my absence, the Secretary of The Interior, Rachael Whittaker, will taken on my duties.

At a time like this, I ask you to remember the national motto. 'As One, As Many, As Equals'.

Thankyou and goodnight.

[Port Te’sere]

A few kilometers south of the great port city of Archangel, the city sprawl dies out and after a few more, one arrives at Port Te’sere, a small, mostly fishing based town with a small iron mine inland. Nothing worth mentioning there, save the great, government owned cargo ships. Government workers had registered the ships in with several authorities under several names and several nationalities. Usually the massive cargo ships seemed to sit dormant in dry dock, few people cared, none asked, in Port Te’sere, people lived paycheck to paycheck, and thought of the larger affairs of the world with little but apathy. Here, the socialist government was disliked, but tolerated; the people lived, but then again, just existed.

Now, though the long dormant cranes that stood as sentinel towers for the cargo ships, shook off the salt from the sea. With crashes and clanks, the cranes hefted crates labeled ‘Tomatoes’ or ‘Cotton’ or ‘Bananas’ but that was a blatant lie, to some extent, all the crates had some bit of what ever they were labeled, just enough to fool inspectors, but under that were crates and crates of AK-101 assault rifles, explosives supplies, RPG-7’s, Javelin Anti-tank missiles, portable SAM’s, mines, munitions; larger crates held armored vehicles, pre-assembled armored structures, and First-Aid kits. The supplies for revolution.

The ships set sail headed for Demonted, towards New Brookhaven, from there, the supplies would be split up by Echoese authorities, and then distributed to the Freedom for Demonted forces. It would all be done under the table, no one would know, save the rebels, with only one catch, the Echoese get to keep the colony. More than a fair offer to have a coup succeed rather than fail.

To: Secretary of The Interior, Rachael Whittaker

As spokesman for FFD, I can tell you right off that Demonted's military dictatorship is currrently in control of the so-called free media. This is to tell the world and the public the dictatorship's side of any story and to lay blame on its enemies. As your president has said, FFD was not behind the attack on the school. However, we have no idea as to who did it, or the motive. We wish you the best of luck in solving this problem
Also, I would like some of The Baum Peninsula's commando troops to arrive at the FFD headquarters in order to help train our soldiers. Currently we are engaging in terrorist strikes, but if we are to fully overthrow the government then we require an actual state of warfare to begin. As such, we need trained soldiers in ofder for this to work. We hope you agree to this. In return, we are willing to promise fair and transparent elections after the dictatorship has been overthrown.

Ali Nat

To: Luke Smit

We humbly accept the aid that has been sent, and we are willing to secede Echonia to you once the military dictatorship has been overthrown. This is because we understand the diffculty of relocating hundreds of refugees, and sympathize with you. We would like to request though the sending of some military troops as well as some of your military strategists in order to train our troops and to help us deploy them in the current confrontation. This is because currently we are a group relying on terrorism, but in order to fully overthrow the government we must undertake guerilla warfare. As our troops currrently are not trained, this is why we must ask this of you

Colonel Dick Stane looked at his watch impatiently, stubbing out his cigarette at the same time. "Why can't orders from HQ EVER come on time", he muttered to himself

Suddenly, a shout was heard from the com-operator. 'Sir, the orders have arrived, the mission is a go'.
"So be it.." Dick said quietly to himself, then yelling back to the operator " Inform the men that the order to move out has been given. They are to report immediatly for an invasion'
"yes sir'

2 hours later

The column led back Colonel Dick Stane moved slowly towards Echonia under the cover of darkness in order to avoid rousing any alert from the watchmen. At the same time, the entire task force from Bulgoria, all 4 000 309 of it, as well as all vehicles, were moving at the same time using the same tactics. The plan was to have both forces flank the entire province at once, then to force the invaders off the coast and back into the water, where a large number of Demonted's navy were, even now, laying mines all over the water. This way, once Echonia's citizens and personnel tried to retreat they would be trapped, thus leading them to their fiery doom. Dick smiled grimly to himself, once again marvelling at the simple but smart logir of the General, and said quietly 'your time has come, you imperalist bastards.. you will never set foot on Demonted soil again'.

It has become clear to us that General Lazi's military government is illegal and is also opposed by the majority of Demonted citizens. Therefore we demand that this government immediately holds (and accepts the result of) internationally observed democratic elections, grants amnesty to all FFD members, ceases any military offensives and releases all control and influence of the media. Until further information becomes available we will view General Lazi's government as the main suspects for the terrorist bomb in the Baum peninsular. Failure to signal the acceptance of these demands will be provocation for a more serious response.

Luke Smit sat in his office, the sunlight slanted in through the open window and illuminated each particle of dust in the neutral colored office, save for the bright red flag with a golden dove that stood on a small indoor flag pole near the window. Smit puffed on a large cigar, illegal thanks to a recent ban on tobacco, but Smit was addicted, and right now, he did couldn’t help but puff away on the cigar, it had always helped him think.

The door to his office creaked open, and General Jeffery Seala walked in, he stood 6’4” tall and he had just pressed his blue uniform, and almost every medal there was to be had adorned his breast. He glanced over at the Sectary of Defense, and for a second took in the stillness of the room, so odd due to the chaos that was consuming the rest of the world. Seala then said: “Smoking will kill you, Sectary.”

“Sure, whatever you say General.” Smit said, but just took a big puff of smoke.

“Do you know why I am here?”

“Not really,” Smit said smugly, “I do hope it’s worthwhile.”

“Satellites have detected Demonted mobilization towards New Brookhaven, they are complimented by Bulgorians as well.”

Smit turned from looking out the window onto the serene ocean that was outside and faced the General and hit his desk with his fist. “Shit! Damn shit!” he paused, “Kill them, all of them. I don’t care how.”

“Yes, Defense Sectary.” Seala left.

New Brookhaven:

Because of the arguments and the support of the rebels, several aircraft carriers had stayed around just inside of international waters. And from these aircraft carriers, 20 F-18’s took off and headed inland. They flew in and dropped 100 2,000 lb guided conventional bombs on the Demonted ground forces. And then headed back to the carrier.

Meanwhile, Cruisers and Battleships moved toward the Port, readying their guns to fire upon the Demonted Ground troops if they got this far in the city.

Still, other ships ported and disgorged tanks and troops which moved out to intercept the Demonted forces.

Colonel Dick Stane looked up, swore, and yelled :' INCOMING!!"
This was right before the first smart bomb landed among the column, and instantly the rest of the bombardment arrived as well. Soldiers began screaming, as body parts were blown out of their sockets, while tanks were crushed like paper toys. When the bombardment finally stopped around half of the Demonted column had been killed. The Bulgorian column was much luckier though, since the majority of the bombs were directed towards the Demonted column, leaving the Bulgorians relatively unscathed.

Colonel Dick Stane looked up at the skies, and swore softly, 'This is not the end'. Then, turning to the com operator, he ordered him to inform General Ben Lazi of this new development, as well as orders.

At the captial of N'gya

General Ben Lazi looked up from the latest report, and angrily threw a vase at the wall. How could he have not forseen the use of satilettes to detect the attack? Simple: Demonted didn't have any themself, due to its relative poverty.

The only good news was that the mines had been placed, but what good would they be, if the ground forces couldn't force a retreat for the enemy?

Gritting his teeth, he ordered the Demonted Air Force and the Demonted Navy to begin a bombardment of Echonia. At least the bastards would pay for this.

2hours later

8 Ilyushin Il-28, the entire of Demonted bombing force, lifted off from the main airbase 10 miles outside of N'gya. They would arrive at Echonia in 3 hours. and would begin the bombardment. At the same time, an escort of 10 MiG-21 would go along witht he bombing run. This was the entire Demonted air force, putting all its eggs in one basket, just waiting to be cracked...

[International Waters near Demonted]

Carriers had detected the Demonted mobilization on radar. 32 MiG-31’s took off ready to take out the bombers. They were equipped with long range missiles that locked on from over the horizon. Each Demonted Bomber had 4 MiG-31’s assigned to it. The MiG-31’s each fired 6 missiles at the bombers, they would be decimated long before they ever reached the Territory.

In tandem with the MiG-31’s, 40 F-18’s went up from the carriers, they split into two groups, 20 went with the MiG-31’s to take out the enemy MiG-28’s, the other 20 headed off towards the broken line and repeated the bombing run of earlier on the Demonted forces.

The other F-18’s that went with the MiG-31’s fired at the enemy escorts, and the MiG-31’s would do so as well after the bombers were confirmed downed or disabled.

[Top Air Force Base]

From a little known military base in the north, as the snow and wind blew and the runways were almost iced over and would have been if not for the base personell working to keep it ice-free, 4 B-52’s took off, escorted by 20 JAU-64 Tigerclaw fighters, all headed for N'gya. It wasn’t a stealthy assault, but Generals had guessed that much if not all of the Demonted Air Force was headed for New Brookhaven. Once over N’gya, the B-52’s would nearly carpet bomb the city with a mix of Napalm and conventional bombs with no respect for civilian or military targets.

'Does anyone hear me, repeat does anyone hear me, respond ASAP' the com operator said in a hollow voice. Sighing, he turned to the junior cadet next to him, and told him to relay the bad nes to Commodore Nick Ross.

When Nick Ross recieved the information, he was shocked. After all, the entire air force had just been decimated without a chance of retaliation. He sent a message to General Ben Lazi, and hoped that the general had another plan.

(At Presidential Palace)

"DAMN IT" yelled the general, having recieved this bad news. Indeed, this was not the only piece revieved, since he had just been told about the remainder of the enemiy's air force bombing the Demonted column. His last hope now, was to order the Bulgorian force to begin an artillery strike, since the Bulgorian column had finally arrived.

(Outside Echonia)

bullets began firing all over as the Bulgorian troops left their transports. artillery shells began firing as Echonia suffered a massive bombardment from the 300 Karaliotnikov Artillery. Troops immediatly began entering Echonian territory, killing any human that moved, since all were in the eyes of Demonted's military traitors. The 4 reconnaissance lightly armed tanks sped in the front, their mounted turrets blasting away at anything that moved.

(Other side of Echonia)

Colonel Dick Stane surveyed what remained of his pitiful column, and swore. Having orignally set out with 3 000 000 men, only 500 000 remaied, and the majority of their heavy-duty tanks were gone as well. He gave the order to continue foward, and hoped that the war could be won still yet.

(Demonted waters close to Echonia)

Booms were heard as Demonted's navy, all spread out along a 15-kilometer radius, began a naval bombardment of the edges of Echonia in order to avoid causing friendly fire to the incoming Bulgorian troops. At the same time, these shells pierced ships in the harbor of Echonia, as well as hitting some military and naval installations. Finally, one of the shells hit a Far Echo Island aircraft carrier by fluke, thus forcing it to begin sinking..

The Far Echo Islands only refers to the upper northern to near equatorial latitudes of the archipelago. The colony in Demonted is called New Brookhaven, and its capital city and largest settlement is New Brookhaven City. You weren’t wrong, but, just hoping to clarify.

Also, you usually just shoot, you enemy responds to the attack, other wise it can be called godmodeing. I'm ok with it for now, because you said what I would have, but some people are very sensitive about it.

Oh, and I also need to know of a few more of your cities, I only know of the capital which I have already attacked.

[Battle of New Brookhaven]

[[on water]]

The 20 Iowa class Battleships that were here split with 15 preforming shore bombardment of the enemy, doing their best not to hit friendlies and concentraing on the artillery and the other five bombarding the enemy fleet.

The 5 Adelie class Battleships that had been moved near Demonted detected the ships, Each Adelie class carried over 200 Tomahawk missiles and they fired them. 500 missiles constituted the first wave, and 200 the second.

The 5 Crusiers fired 1000 shells at the Demonted forces in 5 waves. The rest of the planes on the carriers, 40 F-18's took of and began bombarding the Demonted ships with missiles.

Shore batteries locked on to the Demonted forces as well, and 200 additional Tomahawk missiles fired toward the enemy.

The five Virginia Class submarines fired torpedoes at the enemy ships, about 60 total.

[[on land]]

The Challenger II tanks dished out depleted uranium rounds at the recon tanks out front, which would obliterate their light armor. Echoese troops soon followed, carrying Vyolkrays Modular Assault rifles and firing at the enemy.

Prior to this, the Echoese forces had laid out anti-tank mines at each likely entrance point of the city. Each of these could easily tear apart most any tank and even disable something like a Challenger II or an Abrams.

Bradley APC's drove in as well, and slaughtered enemy troops with machine gun fire.

[in the air]]

The MiG-31's and F-18's were returning from the decimation of the nation's air force and still had munitions to be used; they zoomed over the Karaliotnikov Artillery and fired air to surface missiles at it. To Compliment the naval bombardment of it.

'Yes sir' replied the com officer

Immediatly, at full steam, the entire Demonted force began a headlong retreat. 2 of the destroyers were punctured by the oncoming missles, but thanks to the Admiral's quick retreat message the majority of the force survived unscathed.

*N'gya Presidential Palace*

Once again, the general threw a vase at the wall, this time shattering a window in the process. How could this happen? Simple: Echonia had established a well-defended base. and every one of their troops were more technologically advanced than Demonted's. Couple that with a lack of countries willing to support Demonted, and you had yourself a recipe for disaster. The General's last hopes now were fall the Bulgorian officers to be able to puncture threw and hopefully take out new Brookhaven. Luckily, no indications of the mines had been heard, so as such there still was a chance to win this.

*Demonted Column*

Colonel Dick Stane smiled grimly as his forces finally sighted New Brookhaven, but this smile fell when he heard threw the com that Admiral Von Klause had ordered a retreat, not a patriotic thing to do. Then, a stray missle from the Echonian bombardment landed into his forces, killing around 10 and maiming 20 critically. Swearing, he gave the order to stay and hide until further orders were recieved from the General, or until it looked like the Bulgorian forces would fall.

And it was so, Echoese soldiers were conducting the colonists back onto ships that they had come in on, and they were heading to the Nova Memphis colony, it’d be more crowded, but safer. But what was unspoken was that the troops were secretly laying land mines and bombs that would kill the Demonted forces when they came in. But by that time the Echoese would be long gone.

In the case of what exactly happened to your ships I am not sure, the explosions were not noted here, and therefore must not have been filed as complaints through the proper channels. We are in the midst of a major evacuation, and our military has been ordered on a fire only if fired upon basis. We received no reports of our vessels being fired upon, so we cannot understand the nature of the destruction. We will assist as much as we can in the investigation of the shipwrecks.

As for your occupation of the former colony of New Brookhaven we have no problem with that, we have already ceded it back to the Demonted government control due to the threat of the Zackaroths. We will be completely out of the territory in two days, it will be considered an invasion of Demonted, as that is who currently governs the land. (in RL time) in 1959 the United Soviet States of Surailia (usss) Began work on a WMD that would destroy a large amount of people in a short amount of time. their close relations with japan and UN sanctions caused them to look away from nuclear bombing and on top of that they were looking to be able to colonize their newly concurred territory.

after the dissolution of the USSS the work on G.E.N.I.S.I.S was disbanded.

but as of 5 years ago chairman of the most serene republic of Suralia Gaultier commissioned scientists and began working on it again.

A giant gamma-ray laser cannon. GENESIS is powered by nuclear explosions, the burst of gamma radiation created by the explosion is directed towards an external alignment mirror, then reflected back onto the weapon's main section, where a secondary mirror turns it into a coherent laser beam. The alignment mirror block, which lies in the beam's path, is reduced to radioactive scrap and must be replaced before the weapon can be fired again. Although one shot is devastating enough to take out all of the islands unwanted peoples

The fact is that your nation would not able to manage such a thing untoil it was well into 100 million- 500 milion pop. with regard to using nukes in a place that i do want to re colonize the damage i would cause by using enough nukes to kill the entire population of demonted islands would make the whole area Chernobyl-esque and impossible to live in again. the amount of gamma radiation caused by Project GENESIS would be quite small and removable and the population....GONE( no leftover mutants).

so you have this flashlight right but over night it grows to about the size of a satellite dish and instead of batteries powering the light bulb its a 20MT nuclear explosion and the light coming from the bulb is a light you cant see but instead move so fast that it breaks your DNA and melting all buildings and the farther you place it from the earth the bigger the scope of the radiation will be.

ooc: wow, that suprisingly works, in theory of course, but really all NS tech is in theory, but I digress, this is very expensive, nukes are hard to get, and you'd need one hell of a space program to pull this off, very expensive things to get. You also run into the problem that this is an rp crasher. Its like 27,000,000 nukes on ICBM's*, it cleans the other person away, therefore ending what ever rp you were doing, with you winning, and not really having anything else to do, there is no one to rebel or fight period. Also, if you were to devote enough to your Defense budget to do this thing, the rest of your military would be neglected, and this sounds like it could be knocked out with a inter-atmospheric missile, therfore, if someone wanted to invade you, all they'd have to do is knock this out, and then push over the rest of your military, and bam, you're a colony! This kind of falls under the category of just because we can do this, should we? That is all.

*= 27,000,000 nukes=120% of the power of the sun=what British Londinium launched at North Calaveres, glassing him, and glassing him.
Surailia

first my main industry is uranium. but i already came to the conclusion that the GENESIS program would destroy all life at all times an hence should only be used in the case of an emergency.

but the fact still is that you still only need a few nukes to activate this thing and its still a very cheap machine because it consists of thick glass and and slightly less metal then the CN tower.

now we can all agree that the GENESIS Program should be illegal in space and should only be (when mounted on a plane) the size of a monster satellite dish (like the one in your back yard) because even from the top of the sky's it would only be able to level a city.

'Ready the anti-aircraft turrets, and let all hell break loose' was the General's reply, then:' and prepare all leading diplomatic and military heads for evacuation from the capital'

'yes sir'

*Outside N'gya*

If one looked closely, one could see a line of turrets all lined up together, heavily fortified and surrounding the capital in a ring. Nicknamed the 'Saving Line', the purpose of this area was to hold off for as long as possible against any ground invasion heading up towards the capital. However, it was ill-equiped to hold off again an air invasion, and as such Captain Loki Musa looked disdainfully at his orders, wondering how it could have come to his line to hold off. However, orders were orders, and as such he prepared the turrets. Two hours later, when the enemy's airforce arrived, the turrets began fireing...

ooc: It's not a nuclear attack, its a conventional bombing by a bunch of B-52's with escourts.

IC:

The B-52's were mostly out of the turret's ranges, up too high, moving too fast. But, taking no chances the F-22 escourts dropped 1000 pound JDAM's that glided ahead of the main force and impacted the turret positions before the main bomber force got to the turrets. After this first wave of 30 JDAM's however, the bomber force would advance anyway, bombing the turrets with the city.

'S***' was the word coming out of Captain Loki Musa's mouth as he watched in sheer horror as 1000 pounds of JDAMs landed on his line. Thankfully, his turret was further on, but still the fortifications had originally been designed with a ground attack in mind, not with an air force bombing run. Thankfully though, some defeneses had been purpoted for this, and as such this became apparent as chaff missles and the turrets opened fire on the JDAMs. However, in the end of the roughly 400 turrets on the line around 20 were destroyed or critically damaged. Captain Loki Musa did some quick calculations, and realized that even with this damage they would still be in trouble since the B-52s were coming in from the damaged side towards N'gya, thus resulting in the rest of the turrest on the wrong side of the line. Swearing, he sent a message the General Ben Lazi, and hoped for the best.

*Under N'gya, in an unspecified military compound*

The general took one look at the news and knew it was no good. As such, with no other option left he sent a message to the leader of the New Brookhaven government asking for a peace treaty.

Rounds ripped through some of the fuselages of the B-52's, ripping into them like evil mosquitoes thirst for blood. But still, they were like mosquitoes biting a brontosaurus. The BUFF's continued moving toward central N'gya they had not been informed of the evacuation, of the calling off of all operations in Demonted due to the war at home, nothing, they only knew their mission plan and had been ordered to maintain radio silence until they were back in Echoese airspace. Damaged but not daunted, the B-52's moved toward N'gya, and each of the 4 dropped their 70,000 pound load of napalm and conventional bombs onto central N'gya. And proceeded to limp away, turn out over the ocean, and flew home and landed safely, however, these B-52's had to be grounded for repairs.

*Waters of New Brookhaven*

One small ship, the Issik, a cargo ship sailed ahead of the others about a mile out. Then without warning, a massive explosion ripped the front of the ship apart. In a massive mess of red and yellow and white water the bow of the ship was guillotined and parts flew off across the bay. 20 people were killed in the blast and the rest escaped off the stern of the ship.

"Full ahead reverse!" came a cry across the fleet wide radio channel. "We have sea mines! Get the MMP guys ready, they've got a job to do."

The Marine Mammal Program, the ultimate mine defense. And the Echoese was one of the best in the world. Just after the Issik explosion, 10 specially trained dolphins that had been on board the aircraft carrier in specially designed tanks were deployed into the mine field. The dolphins’ specialized and ultra sensitive sonar and echolocation made the mines easy to find. Each of the dolphins was equipped with a special buoy that marked a mine's location, and once they had deployed that, they swam back to the aircraft carrier and got another and a fish and swam out again and marked another mine. Once all the mines were marked, trained human swimmers went out and they were specially trained to disarm the sea mine, and they did so, and once all the mines were disarmed, the fleet once again moved out safely and without loss this time.

Official Government Response

We hereby cede the governing and control of the former territory of New Brookhaven to the Demonted government. We have all assets withdrawing from the territory as of November 25, 3 AR by the Echoese calendar. We whish the Demonted government luck in governing this territory and what people may be left in it.

Good Luck,

ooc: is ok, RL comes first, most everything's the same save for the fact that I'm evacuating, Demonted owns the place now, I bombed his capital to hell, and Sura threatened the whole thing with an uuber weapon that would work, but it is kind of an rp killer.

OOC: Echo, have all your people been evaced from Demonted? Because I need to know if you still have troops in the area, because my fleet is coming in where you had your strip of land.

ooc: yea, everyone is gone, its a ghost town, and while you wouldn't know ICly, don't forget there are land mines laid through every street, so err, watch were you step. (but there are no sea mines). Also, there is a storehouse of left over equipment in the eastern sector of full of small arms and various stuff that it was cheaper to buy new than ship old. Mostly AK-47's with some RPG's, and some various explosives, supplies, some MP7A1's (but not many), ya know, little stuff. (of cousre you'd have to discover it ICly.)

A small squad of F-40s flew over what supposed to be the Echoese terrorties. It was indeed true that they had pulled everyone out of the strip of land. The lack of AA guns and movement from below had some pliots wanting action but some breathing a sigh of relief. They reported back in to the fleet and it began its move torwards the abadoned docks.

Jimbo Green was a young, impressonable man. Since the age of 10 he wanted to be in the army to kick ass and take names. And right now he would get his chance. Or so he thought. Jimbo was a very loud and stupid fellow at time. After the briefing on the boat and when the soilders where unloading on the docks, JImbo ran out on to the streets. " OK LETS KICK SOME FUCKING ASS!" he yelled as he ran, despite the urgings from his friends and supieror. Jimbo would save alot of lives though. Within in moments he stepped on a bobby trapped land mine and was blown up. Sadly what was left of his landed on another mine and that to went off killing poor Jimbo but alerting the rest of the soilders and commanders that the city was probly booby trapped with land mines.
