Adygean Ministry of Foreign Affairs


Being resolved to create a more open and friendly impression of Adygea in the international community, the government of Adygea declares openly that any nation wishing to establish an embassy or consul within the borders of the Republic of Adygea may do so. This is not a change of policy; rather, it is an affirmation of a standing policy of an open door.

Coordinates for a selected number of settlements are shown below.

Maykop (capital): 40° 05' 17" N 44° 36' 12" E
Sochi: 39° 44' 45" N 43° 34' 16" E
Krasnodar: 38° 57' 39" N 45° 02' 12" E
Tuapse: 39° 04' 04" N 44° 06' 01" E

The government of Adygea recommends Maykop as the location of an embassy, but will not mandate the establishment there. The settlements listed are only examples; any city or town may be chosen as the location for a consul or embassy.

[ Basically, just let me know the coordinates of your embassy (please choose a house or an office building—I get frustrated when you want to establish an embassy in a university or museum) and you're good to go. ]

[ I guess I should have been clearer: the idea was to find the cities in Google Earth and then find the coordinates of a house or building or something in the city and post the chosen site.

On another note, I don't filter by size—besides, you're larger than the population I play at. ]

The government of Adygea thanks Demonted for its interest in establishing an official diplomatic mission in Adygea. We are, indeed, a member of the United Nations; it is the position of this government that only through a common forum for world leaders will progress be achieved.

[ Adygea's not part of it in the game, because the issues there are flat-out silly and it's a tyranny by majority, but I play as if Adygea was a member. ]

The Rogue Nation of Demonted is sincerely sorry, but it is due to the overwhelming majority of views of the population that no official ties be established with countries in the UN. However, we look foward to continuing an informal relationship with Adygea, especially in terms of economic and military aid.

To hear that communication is not possible on official levels is disappointing news, to be certain. However, I and my government recognise certain views and respect them; it is not our place to dictate domestic policy of other nations.

I should hope that military aid will not be needed, but I would like to personally extend my gratitude for the offer, should it ever come to pass that Adygea would be invaded. I would, further, like to extend a likewise offer in kind.

On a personal level, I might recommend the Dzerzhinskogo Sanatarium, half a kilometre to the north-west of the planned embassy site. Also nearby is the Krasmashevskij Sanatarium, about as close but directly north, and the Raduga Sanitarium, another half-kilometre further north.

Sochi has a significant number of very good hotels on its south side; I urge you to take a look at those, as well.

If you've got Google Earth, just plug in the coordinates and it'll take you to one of the cities. From there you can explore where you want to stick your embassy/consul. If you want it in a city that isn't listed, find the one where you do want it, and check the coordinates at the bottom of the screen. GE is free to download, and pretty intuitive, so you shouldn't have any problems. ]

[ O.o That's a park, mate. I'm sure you'd rather buy a building that's already made...? 44° 36' 15.15" N 40° 06' 12.45" E is a pretty good spot, and it's right near the State Building. Course there are others in that vicinity; that's just to get you an idea. ]
