OOC: This is the long awaited invasion of the democratics of the west, please do not use EMP devices, or nukes, or god rods. For those of you that need a map, Tatom looks like America, except that the East is ruled by the communists while the west is ruled by the Democratic party.

Western Tatom, miles from the border

John Igor was sitting on his porch, he was watching the sun rise when fighters suddenly flew over him. Igor got up and took out his small digital camera and zoomed in on the fighters to see which side they were.

They were communist fighters from the east...

John ran to the telephone to call his friend, who was a captain of the western army.

Airfield 34

All the Democratic F-18s were parked side to side in a row, when the communists fighters approached, they weren't spotted by radar because they were flying extremely low. Then the fighters flew up over the base, this time spotted by radar. Many western pilots ran to their planes, but many wouldn't make it.

First, the communist fighters dropped napalm bombs unto the base, blasting communications and SAM batteries. Then, the fighters turned their attention to the planes, they blasted the F-18s on the ground with bombs and missiles. The SAM batteries by now had begun firing into the air, blasting a couple of communists fighters, but it was already too late, the fighters had finished their job, then they flew back to base.

DMZ zone

Meanwhile, during the attack, communist guns opened up and blasted holes in the DMZ zone, then the bombardment stopped suddenly. At that moment, Challenger tanks from the communist side drove across the DMZ zone and entered the west. The Western army went into action and fired cruise missiles into the communist army, the communists responded with cruise missiles also.

Alexander Fredder, leader of the Democratic Tatom, officially declared war on the communist Tatom. The Democratic armies began mobilizing while the communists moved deeper into Western Tatom. During the early attack on the Democratic air field, 1/4 of the Democratic air force was wiped out.

Tatom West Coast

Many people thought it strange that three men, bachelors all, would rent a house so high and aloof on the craggy coast and never really socially interact with the surrounding locals. They simply went to and fro from civil service jobs within the city nearby and then back. It was an item of curiosity that they had put in a large satellite tv receiver dish, yet was not uncommon for rich folks. And so they retained the image of friendly bachelors living in modest conditions alone on the coast.


Johannes Muller sat in a chair on the porch of the house overlooking the ocean. He was dressed in civilian clothes and had a small alcoholic drink next to him, a small umbrella sitting in it. Earphones hung from his ears. While he enjoyed sipping on his Bourbon he listened to his latest report.

Thanks to the computer hacking skills of Micheal, his friend and fellow operative in the area, the huge satellite dish they had enabled them to pick up a large amount of the air traffic in the northern hemisphere. However to reduce detection they simply had it aimed at the interior of Tatom. What news he garnered from it allowed him and his two team members to make accurate reports to Section III, the Thrashian Imperial Intelligence agency section responsible for foreign observation. Muller himself had been sent to Tatom no more than four years prior. His team was, as far as he knew, the only Thrashian operatives in the area.

A spike in the military communications outposts reached a sudden peak as Muller took another sip of his drink. Observation outposts reported an attack on the DMZ. Another hurried and frightened report dramatically announced that an fighter-bomber attack had been staged near district airfield 34.

Muller sat up and set his drink down. Without a word he went into the house and went down into the basement. He went to a brick wall and counted a number of stones down, then several to the right. He found the right brick and pressed in. A metallic click sounded off and the wall swung inward. Behind this fake wall stood a huge array of sensory equipment, long range communication equipment, and a small fire-arms locker. Sitting before the huge HD display screen sat Heinz, the third team member. He looked up as Muller entered.

"You heard too?" Heinz asked. He was already a step ahead of Muller, typing in a direct link communique line to Section III command in the region.

"Yes. It sounds as if the Communist bastards are starting to make a move in this region," replied Muller. "Where's Micheal?"

"Here!" called a voice below him and to the right. There Micheal's lower body was visible, the other half hidden beneath a computer station. "Just working on the wiring."

"Keep it running," ordered Muller. He turned to Heinz. "And you, get that report to HQ. Give it a 6-star rating. They need to know what's happening."

200 miles from West Tatom

The Zamperian fleet had been there on orders of the communist president. After hearing the events of the airfield attack, the Zamperian fleet was ordered to the coast of West Tatom, many had hoped that Zamper will help in the attack of the Democratic West. The Admiral had secret orders to attack West Tatom at the right moment...

Almost simultaneously, calls were placed to the Eastern and Western sides of Tatom. The voice was indistinguishable, the same nasal voice that seemed to embody the Vetalian bureaucratic class.

"We have weapons to sell, and we'd be happy to outfit your forces with our best weapons...for a price. Make us an offer, and the supplies will be in your possession as soon as possible. We have everything you need, conventional, unconventional, biological, and nobody in this entire country can do a damn thing about it."

"What will it be, gentlement? Victory, or defeat? The pockets of Vetalia are deep indeed, and we can make sure of it that your forces will end up on top."

50 miles into Western Tatom

The communist army of 340,000 penetrated deeper into the West, while 2 western armies were being rushed to the battle. However, unexpectedly, the communist army ran into the Western 1st line of defense. The line was built of bunkers, massive guns, and tanks were waiting for them there. B-52s from the communist side dropped napalm bombs and even tried to fire bomb the line. The defensive line however was guarded heavily by hundreds of SAM batteries, which blasted some of the bombers. Combined tank and soldier assaults managed to finally break through the line, only to run into one of the Democratic armies.

Western Tatom waters

The west might have a small air force, but it had a superior navy of mostly cruisers, destroyers, submarines and frigates. A fleet of them were watching the Zamperian fleet that was 200 miles from the coast. They were extremely worried of a 2 front war, which could destroy their country.

Almost simultaneously, calls were placed to the Eastern and Western sides of Tatom. The voice was indistinguishable, the same nasal voice that seemed to embody the Vetalian bureaucratic class.

We will support you in this war, not because we support democracy, which is a unnecessary form of government and restrain a people from reaching it´s ultimate capacity, but because we view communism as even worse. We can supply you with weapons and eventually tanks and aircraft. We can also exercise some diplomatic and economic pressures to your enemys, however not to any high extent. If needed, we can also send you military advisors and economic help.

Section III Regional Headquarters, Undisclosed Location

Major Hans Pauper stood behind his office desk looking out the rear window of his building. It offered a fine view of well manicured gardens and a large fountain. Several other buildings in the area were similarly attired. Small groups of civilians roamed around guided by men and women dressed in simple tour-guide uniforms. The location of Section III 3rd Regional Headquarters hid itself inside the grounds of an ancient royal palace that had since become an art gallery. The building they bought and occupied had been labeled as an office building.

Pauper watched as young children ran circles around each other, playing games while the adults stood enraptured by the tour guides, each a paid member of Section III. He envied those children's freedom and laughter. Pauper had little to laugh about these days and his freedom to visit his family back in Thrashia was becoming less and less. He felt sure that the next time he managed to get there he'd find divorce papers lying on the dining table.

A knock came to the door behind him, bringing him up from his thoughts. He turned, composed himself, and sat down. "You may enter."

The door opened and a younger man dressed in the dark gray of the Thrashian Imperial Intelligence uniform walked in. He came to a smart salute, his leather knee-high boots clacking together.

"What can I do for you Lieutenant Eichmann?" queried Major Pauper.

"Sir, you asked to be inform whenever we heard something major," replied the young Eichmann, excitement betraying his calm demeanor. "Well sir, we've just received a report from group Tannenburg inside the nation of Tatom."

Pauper leaned forward and set his elbows on his desk, his interest growing. "Continue..."

"From what the report reads, it would appear that the Communist East of the country has launched an attack on the Democratic West."

"Has this been confirmed?" asked Pauper sharply.

"Yes sir, both by the International News Agency and by the Abwehr," answered Eichmann. "We've already prepared a secondary report with all facts to be sent back to the Emperor."

"Good," nodded Pauper. He leaned back in his seat. "Thrashia however has no official dealings with the Tatom. We observe them simply because of their proximity to communists...however they might be able to do something."

Eichmann's eyes grew large. "Them sir? Are you sure?"

"Oh yea," smiled Pauper. "They would be perfect for this. Not to mention they enjoy this sort of thing. Send a second copy of the report to Field Marshal Wittman. Let his men deal with this."

The line of 24 F/A-15's at Red Base, rumbles could be heard, the sun shone down on the F/A-15A's that were getting ready to deploy. Yes, the communists in Calizorinstan had managed to procure a squadron of F/A-15A's from the boneyard in Kingman, Arizona. Also, there was 14 F-4D Phantoms on the flightline, along with 3-6 Xian H-6 Jet Bombers, and a KC-97 tanker that they had salvaged.

They took off one at a time, and set their courses for the East Coast of Tatom.



Harry Sapphire, sat down in his chair and wrote a note to the Tatom Communists saying:

Battle of Mill's Hill

In the great plains of the West Tatom, 5,000 communist tanks plus 500,000 communists ran into a democratic armored force of 4,000 tanks and 300,000 troops. The communist tanks blasted a hole in the Democratic line, and managed to rout the Western army, but their General rallied and charged the communist flank with 1,000 tanks.(Mostly challengers.) The communists fought back hard, and after a 5 hour battle, which involved the biggest tank battle in Tatom, both sides retreated.

Mokan Spy Satellite 1773 continued orbit over the now war-torn nation Tatom. The Confederate Divisions in Mejico and Tierra Nueva were on high alert in case anything would spill over into Mokastana. While the two nations did not share a mutual border it wasnt too far off to see some stray rounds or shell land north of Nuevo Orleans...Mokan Fighers continued patrol on the northern Borders...Hoping not to fight the communist nor the Democratic government. The army on the other hand, had not seen action in a while exept for a few insurgencies in Greal. The Mejico Confederate Division wanted to show their guns in battle, along with the Division in Tierra Nueva. They wanted blood, and as the confederate council sat and debated. It would soon be decided if they would get some..

West Coast of Tatom (Where Seattle is supposed to be perhaps? I don't know if city names have changed?) - 1500 Local Time

A large fleet of helicopters filled the skies, suprsised citizens ran to the nearsest shelter they can find. 20 Men came out of each helicopter, each armed to teeth with the latest technology. Meanwhile other helicopters carried vehicles and tanks and dropped them off of wenches while Marxist State soldiers scrambled to mount them.

A squad of the People's Secret Enforcement Squad (OOC: spy/commando type men) took over the City hall, a member always present in the squads, a Hacker, quickly broke into the system. A message was broadcasted on all televisions, radios, and loudspeakers in the city.

"All soldiers are asked to drop their weapons and return to their homes. All soldiers of West Tatom who comply will have their lives spared. This country must submit to the will of the people."

OOC: There are minor godmodes through this thread but this is the most blatant, meanwhile I have a real reason to be here besides 'White Knighting'

The officer walked through the marble halls of the busy, clerk-filled building with an almost lethal aura around him. Junior officers and attendants fled before him like wheat before a scythe. His knee-high, black-polished boots rang off the floor with a resounding snap after each step. With a set jaw and fiery eyes he seemed more like a force of nature than the commanding officer of the 7th SV Panzer Division of the Waffen SV.

He burst through the doors of an office off the side of the hallway and stalked inside. A small work desk with a lieutenant behind it sat before him. A door of polished and well manicured nalwood stood behind the office clerk. The lieutenant swallowed visibly.

“It’s a p-pleasure to see you Herr General,” the lieutenant stammered. “What can I do for you today?”

“You can damn well let me in to speak with that two-bit, no good, dirty, low down git of a Field Marshal!” General Kurt Heidrich stormed. The lieutenant literally withered under this storm of cursing. A general in the Waffen SV was intimidating enough, but General Heidrich was over six feet tall and large as an ox. His voice was accustomed to being heard over the roar of tanks and explosives. Needless to say he was very scary.

“I don’t think-,” began the lieutenant. However before he could come up with an excuse to deny the general his request without getting his ass chewed to bits the com on his desk buzzed. Sighing with relief for the distraction he pressed the receiver button.

“Yes Field Marshal, what can I do for you?” he asked into the speaker.

“You may allow General Heinrich to enter,” said Field Marshal Wittman in a sardonic voice.

The lieutenant couldn’t understand why the field marshal would let a brute like the general in, but his hands were tied. He answered back an affirmative and then waved the large general in. “The Field Marshal will see you now.”

Without a reply General Heidrich stormed past and opened the doors. He fully expected to see his commanding officer sitting behind his desk with a look of total annoyance and a paper out ready to give him a demotion or perhaps a lecture on what it meant to be a proper officer. However instead Field Marshal Wittman was sitting behind his desk with a slightly bemused smile on his face and his hands fitted together sitting on his clear desk. It stopped Heidrich in his tracks and he lost some of his steam for a moment.

“You wished to see me?” deadpanned Wittman.

Heidrich nearly laughed, but then remembered why he’d come. “Yes sir!” He snapped a salute. “I want to know why my men and I aren’t being allowed on this newest mission!? We’re ready! We haven’t had anything happening in a while and I put in for the next assignment months ago! It’s not fair if you allow those prissy Albatross boys in but not mine!”

While the general unloaded a months worth of angst and steam onto Wittman, the field marshal simply listened and smiled.

“You can’t make us stay! I’ll fight it! I’ll drag my large ass onto one of those planes whether you allow me or now! I’ll-.”

“You’re men and you are going,” said Wittman.

“Of course we’re going! I just said that…” Heidrich looked confused for a moment. “You mean you’re really letting us go?”

“Yes. I didn’t inform you right away because I wanted to see your reaction. I wanted to see just how far you’d go to getting this mission and frankly you did better than I expected…though I admit some of those insults I heard from outside…” Wittman said, keeping his face neutral but enjoying the discomfort the general was now in.

He looked sheepishly at his commander. “Well…thank you sir. I’ll be sure to do you proud.”

“Good. You’ll be commanding the men we send. Since we don’t have a full korp ready for combat at the moment, we’re sending in a mock-up in as a battlegroup. “Battlegroup Heidrich” to be exact,” replied Wittman.

“You mean that sir?” asked Heidrich, his eyes getting stars in them.

“Yes. You will have not only your division but also Colonel Eichmann’s grenadiers brigade, Brigadier General Halder’s mech infantry division, and Colonel Hoth’s 1st Brigade from the 23rd infantry, from your own korp. All in all you will have 30,000 men and some 1,200 tanks, 800 assault guns, 740 artillery pieces under your command, and also I am attaching Colonel Steele’s 28th Air Group to assist you with his fighter-bomber group,” Wittman said. He pulled a sheet of paper out from a draw that had all of his orders for Heidrich’s deployment written out.

Wittman handed the paper to the stunned general and smiled. “Good hunting general.”

“Thank you sir!” smiled General Heidrich. He took the paper then snapped his heals and saluted smartly. Without another blustering word or question the bear-of-a-man walked out of the room feeling very happy.

48 Hours Later, Dresden Main Military Airport

Within a series of quick deployments and hurried orders the Support & Supply Commissariat had managed to get all of Battlegroup Heidrich ready to deploy with the 8th Transport Air Fleet which had been entirely activated and put to General Heirdrich’s use. Thanks in part to the burly general’s implacable will and to the preparedness of the air fleets crews, several hundred 'Yarglov' Jumbo High Altitude Transport Planes (http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b184/Upum/Modern%20Tech%20Thrashia/Polar_Giant__by_vlda.jpg) had been prepped and all of the men and equipment stowed onboard.

By midnight of the transport fleet started its engines and took off. Their destination: Tatom.

Officer’s Section, Yarglov Transport Plane

“Shit.”

It was a word that paralleled the feelings of all the officers sitting around inside the small room that thrummed with the life of the huge Yarglov engines. There were six men sitting in a small semi-circle around a snap-up table usually used for playing cards. A detailed map of Tatom lay on it.

“Indeed,” nodded General Heidrich. “That would describe the mess we’re about to get in.”

Heidrich stood beside the table looking at the five other men from left to right: Colonel Eichmann of the 5th Panzer Grenadiers, Colonel Steele of the 28th Air Group, Colonel Hoth of the 23rd Infantry, Brigadier General Halder of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Division, and his own adjutant Brigadier General Marcus Olbricht who commanded the 1st Panzer Brigade. It had been Olbricht who said ‘shit’.

“As you know the Communist half of Tatom started an all-out assault on the Democratic west about seven days ago. They did so without pre-bombardment but instead of surgical fighter-bomber flights. A few key airbases were destroyed. After this came a massed armored spearhead that smashed through this region (ooc: Kansas),” continued Heidrich. “Our intelligence estimates their numbers to be around the region of 350,000 men.”

Colonel Hoth whistled. “Big field army.”

“What about tanks?” queried General Halder. Halder was the oldest of the men assembled and but by far one of the most energetic men that Heidrich had ever met. He had a tempered fire in him that wouldn’t let anything stop him. “You said ‘armored spearhead’ a second ago.”

“Yes I did,” sighed Heidrich. “As a total they could have anywhere between 4 to 5 thousand tanks of varying type; Though they seem to be deficient in air craft or any kind of ground-to-ground missile system which is good for us.”

“Which means for a bit my boys and I will have the sky to ourselves,” Colonel Steele wolfishly grinned. Heidrich shivered to think what the tall, extremely thin ace-fighter commander would do with such an easy platter to eat from.

Heidrich pointed to the map. “The communist army has only penetrated here because the terrain favours their massed armour. Just under a couple miles north and south are regions heavy in rivers. As a tank man I know just how annoying they can be and how they can be a pain in the ass for tanks to quickly traverse without good bridges or useful engineers.

“As such the enemy has favoured this area which has only a few major rivers heading west to east. However that itself is a double-edged sword.”

“I see what you mean,” said Colonel Eichmann. “Another few hundred miles westward and they run into a ‘wall’ of rivers, favouring the defence. If they are weary of the regions of terrain to the north and south, then we could use that to create a pocket.”

“A pocket we could smash to bits,” said General Halder excitedly.

“That’s the plan,” nodded Heidrich. He put his finger down on a town marked on the map. “We will land the majority of our forces here (ooc: Hastings, Nebraska). There is an untouched air field there which we can put to good use and the town is by now deserted, so we can turn it into a depot for our supplies.

“Colonel Hoth, your brigade will land there in the town along with Colonel Steele’s airmen.” Heidrich turned to the other three. “You Colonel Eichmann, will be given a special duty, since your men are use to such operations. You will land here (ooc: Falls City, Nebraska), a small fortified town near the enemy penetration that has been left untouched due to its small size. From there you will begin operations to disrupt the enemy lines of communication and destroy their supply lines. The deeper they run the longer that line will run, and I want you to cut it mercilessly.

“General Halder’s men and my own, both the 2nd Mechanized and the 7th Panzer will land here in this town (ooc: Holdrege, Nebraska) from which we can start a armored thrust into the side of the beast. Once we land I will get our new-found allies of West Tatom and their army commanders to in-act operations with similar parameters of our own, with a similar attack made by them on the southern flank from this region (ooc: Oklahoma) by which we will create a pincer.”

Heidrich looked around at them.

“Any questions?”

“Yea,” piped up General Olbricht. “When did you learn to read a map? I didn’t know you could.” The group of officers roared with laughter and even Heidrich found himself laughing as well.

The Protectorate of Jinos is concerned of the proximity of your war, the government and people of Jinos despise Communism, as such, we express our wish to forge a military alliance in both country's mutual benefit. We feel that this is for the good of the world, or at least, I personally believe so. My top government officials, and some of the public populace, have expressed wide concern of the proximity of the Communist state to ours should you lose.

I also believe this to be a good chance to Reunite the two states of Tatom, and to snuff out Communistic policies to a great extent.

Although our military has never experienced an actual war with any other country, we believe it to be far technologically advanced. I put my personal confidence in my soldiers.

The Marxist State has moved it's 3rd carrier group to the West Coast of Tatom. It's roll is to supply assistance to the People's Government in the East.

Several major ports along the coast are to be blockaded, the group should arrive in a couple of weeks. The Marxist state has also sent more advanced weapondry for the East Tatom military to use.

Our hope is Tatom can become a nation controlled by the People.

West Tatom, 80 miles from border

A Eastern army of 140,000 troops broke through the line and routed the western troops, however, thgey had to move slowly since the Western troops did hit-and-run attacks on their supplies. All day, Communist B-52s bombed every town or city in their path, killing thousands. West Tatom struck back by blasting a key city on the border with cruise missiles.

OOC: Besides waiting for a response from Tatom, a major shareholder, there is also this issue. While LASER 747's are possible, a nuclear reactor is not. Nuclear reactors are too large to be put onboard a plane with a laser at the same time. The massive B-36 and Tu-95 were unable to carry any useful loads with such a huge device on board, and even then the reactors were just there as testbeds and weren't able to power the plane itself. You are better off using conventional fuel and some extra generators onboard to power each laser.

The missiles managed to blast the city hall along with a grocery store next to it killing 67 civilians. The West Tatom naval fleet offshore found itself attacked by enemy ships, the admiral ordered cruise missiles to destroy the enemy ships.

The 40 destroyers and 20 frigates an 18 submarines plus 1 battleship began firing back with torpedoes and missiles.

West tatom naval fighters fired their anti-ship missiles at the enemy fleet.

The communists were finally halted by a Democratic army that had vowed to fight to the last man. On the ground the invasion was set up into three main theaters, the California invasion, 10 divisions and 3 shock divisions. central thrust into AZ and NM, 20 Divisions to support both side invasions, and the Texas Front, 10 Divisions with air cover.

IronHearts and T-90s and AMJ3s raced across the border to meet the enemy face to face, border towns were ordered to be guarded and used as frontier supply depots until the advance was made further into Tatom. "Captain, we have reports of Red Star aircraft heading for the communist capital, apperently their giving the communists the aircraft" Said the radar officer "Put the F/A-12Bs and F/A-11s on alert immediatley, do not let those aircraft reach the capital!"

Nearly 30 Cazelian fighters were launched, and the rest were being armed with AAMs and ATGMs for the attack upon the Communist hordes. The first 30 fighters were to intercept and destroy the Red Star Aircraft.

Nicolas sat down at the head of the table, as President of both Mokan Island and the Confederacy he was in charge, or at least appeared to be until a few hours ago. It was common knowledge that many of the Confederate Divsions had wanted to go to war, many hadn't seen action since the Mejico conquest, if any at all...

"well sir, Presidente Miguel Hernandez lead 52 Conferate Divisions into Tatom about 2 hours ago. In response a Colonel tried to stage a coup but after pressure from his men and fellow officers he stood down and was arrested by General Jorge. In Tierra Nueva the Army under the leadership of Generalissimo Manuel Durkin have decided to stage a coup if the local government tries to interviene with Miguel Hernandez's invasion. Of the 400 standard division that is 120 under Miguel Hernandez and 90 under Generalissimo Manuel Durkin. Leaving 80 under your command and 110 under command of President Maria Montana of the Sur Region. They are on high alert, for numerous reasons..."

Nicolas looked at the map, thinking hard, he needed a plan.

He took out a Mokan Fine and lit the cigarette and relaxed a bit, he hadnt smoked since his wife's death 8 years ago, but when 1.5 billion lives are in your hand, the stress tends to eat at you...

"I want a covert team in Mejico City, if we can take out the head, the body will fall...I dont care how we do it. But i want him dead. make it public and loud, make him an example that in Mokastana we dont take kindly to treason. I would suggest a death with Durkin, but we dont have time for that."

meanwhile they worked on how to handle the situation before they could take him out and damage control...

OOC: I wouldn't field a army without tanks in front of a army with tanks, so I'm guessing tatom has something else there...

OOC: Probably, i just don't want him to buy something, deploy it to the front lines, train troops with it, and then use it in the time that it takes my tanks and APCs to drive up to his lines....

West Tatom

With the Mokan attacks down south, and the communists coming from the east, the country panicked. Alexander Fredder fled to a 60,000 square mile island ,Taicher, off the coast of north west Tatom (Oregon). The communists marched into the capital city proudly later that week. millions of democratic supporters and soldiers fled to Taicher, joining Alexander Fredder, the communists normally would have invaded the island that quickly, but West tatom ordered its whole navy to the island.

(The Mokans were awarded with New Mexico, Arizona, and California.)

A General Resources MD-11 was flying toward Communist Tatom. On board were several soldiers, polishing their rifles, sleeping, and watching movies. The cargo bay was loaded with thousands of rounds of ammunition, more guns, and finally 4 R88 Tactical Nuclear Charges. Each one could produce up to 1 kiloton of explosive force in a pack that weighed a mere 75 kilograms. There were also dozens of dummies, blank rounds, rocket launchers, and grenades.

A satellite phone call had been placed to the Premier of Communist Tatom.

"My name is Mike Toreno, and I am acting as General Resource's main liaison to you. I would like to show you my soldiers, my equipment and our tactics to help you win this war personally. We hold you in very high regard and would love to do a military demonstration for you and your generals to show you exactly how to conduct a professional war."

With the war over quickly and with very few shots fired Miguel Hernandez stood Proudly in Mejico City proclaiming the success of The Glorious Confederate army in the conquest of the north. After issuing thank yous to his commanders, leaders and Generalissimo Manuel Durkin for keeping Tierra Nueva in check he addressed the issue of the potentially divided confederacy due to his action.

He rallied the crowd to him by blaming Mokan Island for conquering the simple Mejician Peoples, for causing grief and war upon these few peaceful nations. It was his duty to ensure that the Mejican People were free from the tyranny and power of the Mokans. The crowed cheered and booed, some wanted war for independence and others wanted the peace Mokastana offered.

One single 7.62mm round entered the front of Miguel Hernandez's skull splitting the upper part of his face into two uneven bloody halves while his brains splattered and landed on the recently crowed Ms. Mejico, some who thought the only reason she got the crown was because she was sucking off the judges, one of whom was Miguel. Who's bloody stump of a head was no spewing blood as his body fell and had minor seizures...


The assassin was never found.

The death of Miguel Hernandez had only charged the independents war cry for freedom, while the loyalist were reassured by his death happy that the madman would not bring death to thier lands. A dark cloud was coming over Mokastana...it was only a matter of time before something went bad

Mid-Region Border of Between West and East Tatom

The air was filled with the sound of rumbling engines. Tanks, trucks, jeeps, and all the other vehicles of war and the work horses of an army moved along the East to West road heading towards the heart of the Democratic West. Sharp eyes watched as the sole bridge in the area, for more than fifty miles either south or north, was filled to the brim with communist east soldiers on their way to the front.

Sitting in grass and dirt less than a few hundred yards away sat Colonel Eichmann and a small team of his grenadiers. Each of them was camouflaged and had their faces covered in dirt. A special musk sprayed on earlier kept them from being detected by any guard dogs as they had operated the night before.

Eichmann turned to his left. "Sergeant Konig, do you have it ready?"

"Almost sir, just another wire." The staff sergeant worked feverishly over a small black box and a series of wires. A small red handle plug lay in the grass next to him.

"Well hurry the bloody hell up," hissed another soldier.

"Shut up Jager," growled Eichmann.

"Course sir, just saying what everyone was thinking," the private grumbled back.

Sergeant Konig smiled. "Got it sir." He took the red plug in hand and with a metallic clap, snapped it into a small socket in the side of the black box. He pulled the plug up and waited for it to charge, then looked at his commander.

Eichmann looked at Konig, then back at the bridge. He turned back. "Do it."

With a twist and a push the plug came down. An electrical signal flew down the wire, around a series of bushes, under the feet of a guard, and finally came to a stop beside a series of ready explosives.

Krump, krump, krump. The series of strategically placed explosives blew like a line of fire crackers. However these fire crackers were much more dangerous. The entire bridge came down as one. Tanks and other vehicles were blown into the sky. Soldiers marching over the bridge were vaporized. Traffic on either end of the bridge was blown back. A bloom of black smoke rose above the bridge.

"Alright," smiled Eichmann. "Mission accomplished. Now move out."

The small group maneuvered backwards until they came over a small ridge and were out of sight of anyone near the road. They then got up and ran for about a mile before coming to a large ravine. At the bottom of it waited an APC with its engine running. A corporal sat waiting on the ramp. He smiled when the mission team repelled down on ropes before him.

"I heard the boom! Good job. Now get aboard so we can get back to base," he urged. Eichmann and his team didn't argue, too tired to do anything other than nod and stumble aboard. Eichmann checked his watch as he sat down inside and smiled as he heard the roar of fighter bomber engines above. Colonel Steele's boys were on time.

A couple of dark tan fighters with swept wings bore down on the road, guided by the smoke rising from the planned bridge demolition. A long line of panicking trucks, tanks, and soldiers moved around on the road. They came in low, firing their vulcan cannon, tearing men and metal apart like a hot knife through butter. Missiles roared and impacted upon the tops of tanks, blowing off their turrets like a person would take the head off a muffin. After several minutes worth of strafing, the fighters dispersed and returned to their air base.

By destroying the bridge Colonel Eichmann knew that the Communist army would be forced to re-route its supply lines by more than 60 miles, a long stretch that would stretch their lines even further. Just as General Heidrich wanted.


Fortified Defensive Pocket, Mid-Regions, West Tatom

Battle Group Heidrich had established itself more than two weeks prior. After creating a defensive perimeter around his captured air base and a few local towns, the General had started his plan in earnest. Using sheer audacity and lightning armored spearhead attacks the 7th SV Panzer Division had thrust into the flanks of the Communist army without respite. Due to their tactics and command of the air in the region the 7th had had easy pickings on the vulnerable supply columns.

Through force of will and power of personality Heidrich had rallied nearby West Tatom forces and other damaged units. In all he'd grouped together at least 50,000 West Tatom soldiers, men who had defended the border a few weeks prior, but had been caught by Heidrich in retreat. They were led by a General John Moralis who had, upon meeting Heidrich, immediately subordinated his forces to the implacable SV general.

The Battle Group was, thank god, supplied by air via the 28th Air Group and by the ever infamous Supply & Support Commissariat. Field Marshal Wittman made sure that Yarglov transport planes were taking off every day to deliver more ammunition, fuel, and food. He'd also managed to bring in two more mechanized brigades, the 12th and 19th Mechanized from the 3rd Mech Division. Because of this Heidrich had managed to link Colonel Eichmann's position further east with his own headquarters in the west. All in all they had a defensive pocket some 78 miles wide and 34 miles in width.

Fort Hydra, Defensive Pocket HQ

The communications officer sat listening carefully to the incoming report. Since they didn't wish for the enemy to intercept any of the information, all SV communication was done in Thrashian Battle Language, a system of communication unique to the Thrashian Imperial Army. The lieutenant smiled as he held his headphones close to his ear, a pen in hand writing down the details.

He jumped up from his chair and rushed out of the small concrete room where his small detachment had been placed and raced into the hallway beyond. The entire place was concrete, but this did not bother the man as he raced down them, passing other officers and men of the headquarters battalion group.

Passing around a corner at high speed, nearly knocking a clerk over, he raced into the command room where General Heidrich stood like a sentinel over a projected computer map of Tatom. He looked up as the eager man raced in.

"What can I do for you Lieutenant Felps?" asked Heidrich in a deep base voice.

"Sir! Good news! We've just received word that Colonel Eichmann successfully destroyed the bridge in quadrant 13-A. It's one of three major lines of communication and supply that the communists use. They'll have to route their supplies around another route by more than 60 miles!"

Heidrich clapped his hands and picked up a field radio. "General Halder," he spoke into it. "The chicken just laid the bloody golden egg. Get your men saddled up and strike at vein 2. Yes, the bridge is cut and the enemy there is in disarray."

He set the radio down and smiled at the communication officer. "Great! Excellent news lieutenant. You may return to your post. Keep me updated on when Eichmann returns to his base. I want to speak with him personally."

"Yes sir." The junior officer saluted and turned on his heel.

Heidrich rubbed his hands together like a mischievous school boy who'd just successfully played another prank on his teacher. "Now if only the damned Democratic suits would get some guts and fight," he mumbled.

Greeting to your sirs and ladies. I am General Heidrich of the Waffen SV from the Empire of Thrashia. We have arrived unexpectedly within the border region of your nation a week or two hence to aid you in the defence of your nation. However due to the quick retreat of your forces we've become hold up in a defensive pocket. I am as yet destroying and fighting the communist pigs wherever I may and disrupting their supply lines. I have with me General John Moralis of your own army who has command of some of your forces in my area and is continuing the fight under my guidance.

I beseech you to make a landing and come to our aid. Though we are strong, we cannot hold back so great a tide by ourselves. We are roughly 100,000 men strong, combined, but need more men. If you will drive east we will meet you in the middle.

The West Tatom army got their ally's message. 200,000 West Tatom troops that had retreated from their main armies were put together to reconquer the west again. The communists continued to pour 2 million troops into West tatom, which was creating a apanic for the Democratic.

Alexander Fredder, safe on Taicher, sent more troops back to the mainland, so they could stop the communists from reaching their ally....
