To the Most Esteemed Editors of Epsom City Sun,

Seeing that great capital investment has been made in other states for the sake of promoting the industry, to use their word, of tourism, I ask of your journalists to come to my great city of Taale-Voren and promote its attractions in all their majesty.

There is no "visa" required to enter the Dominion, or at least there is not in any sense of the term ever made aware to me. I will, however, fully pay for any expenses that you incur during your visit, as well as any luxuries you fancy to solicit to ensure that you experience every alluring pleasure to be had in my fair city. In addition to this sum, I offer every one of your visiting journalists a personal gift of £10,000.

The best way to enter the city would be through my own personal aeroport on the edge of the town, where I will take pleasure in caring for your planes or helicopters while you are away. If this option is not attractive to you, then you can always enter by ship, as the port of Taale-Voren is indeed the most active and prosperous in all the Dominion.

May we strike mutual prosperity through this arrangement.

Signed,
Lord Antoon van Stijck, Burgrave of Taale-Voren

(OOC: Yes, I think a travel RP would be interesting. Unfortunately, I do not have time right now to post an appropriate response and I will not be able to post tomorrow, but we can continue this on Friday if you like.)

OOC: Yes. Pick one of the names on the list, so I can determine what you will see. I suggest Vantepolis, personally. How do you feel about a little kidnapping by terrorists at the end?
Vetalia
01-11-2007, 04:50
We would like to invite your journalists to visit Vetalia, in particular Vetalia City and Zolotoi Vetalia, two of the most beautiful cities both in our nation.

The first is our capital city and home to not only one of the largest metropolitan populations on Earth (108 million citizens as of 2035 VE) but also one of its largest gross area products, with $13.75 trillion of economic output produced in the area. Vetalia City is a beautiful, vastly wealthy metropolis set in the humid and hot valley on the shores of Kazlova Bay. Zolotoi Vetalia, the City of Gold, is the private city-state of our country's wealthiest citizens, allowing them an environment that caters to their particular tastes. As one of the most exclusive addresses on Earth, it should be highly informative to staff specializing in luxury locations.

In addition, we invite you to travel our country to see all aspects of Vetalian life, from the dry savannas of the north to the tropical island of Tornus and the temperate lands of Zintharia. These would provide a panoramic view of our culture for your agency. Vetalian visas are easy to get and require only a simple application and authorization process. In addition, streamlined requirements and our excellent security force have eliminated the need for classes of visa; all visitors are issued the same visa, with renewals available for a fee.

To the Editors of the Epson City Sun Travel Magazine,

I am surprised that you have turned down my generous gift, but I shall accept your judgment if you insist. If you believe I was trying to bribe you in to writing a good article about my city, then you ought to know that such a tactic was not my intention at all. I am certain that my city will impress you enough as it is, however I just wanted to give you the gift as an expression of my thanks for coming and writing about my city.

My clerks are at this very moment preparing for you an index of locations, so that you shall be more informed as to which localities are frequented by the gentry and which are inhabited by the more vulgar folk. They shall also compound a complete itinerary should you request that sort of thing, as I can provide them with many dates and times of cultural, social, and sporting events that you may attend.

I would like to provide you with all the information you need, and with as much guidance as it will take for you to feel comfortable with my fair city on your first visit. If you need any other information please tell me. Otherwise I shall have you provided for when you land at my aeroport.

Signed,
Lord Antoon van Stijck, Burgrave of Taale-Voren
