Military Organization Act Passed 111 - 19 in House of Commons, 26 - 0 in House of Lords
AP - Dwelmant ah Celestin
Tremarendakian nationalists claimed a triumphant victory today after Parliament announced that it has finally agreed upon a national military organization. This agreement comes after several years of wrangling in the Houses, particularly the House of Commons, over small details. The passage of the Military Organization Act (MOA) was announced by several Lords, led by Lord Solomon Charles of the 2nd District, acting Minister of War, along with a group of representatives from the House of Commons and Lord Gage Adair, acting as King Rudo I's representative.
King Rudo was busy elsewhere.
Lord Adair took the initiative at the press conference where the passage was announced and divulged some details of the agreed upon military, which has already begun being financed and supplied. Among the facts given were:
Total Personnel (including logistics personnel): 5,625,000
Total Annual Funding: $319,886,247,560.61
Personnel Percentages:
Army: 35%
Navy: 30%
Air Force: 30%
Coast Guard: 5%
Funding Percentages:
Army: 30%
Navy: 35%
Air Force: 25%
Coast Guard: 10%
The Army stands currently as the only fully organized portion of the military, due to continuing controversy within Parliament. The Army shall be composed of 21 divisions, of which 6 are currently becoming battle ready. These 6 divisions, the 1st, 4th, 7th, 10th, 13th, and 16th Infantry Divisions, are stationed in:
1st Infantry Division (Lieutenant General Mark Taylor - CO): Dwelmant ah Naerum
4th Infantry Division (Lieutenant General Darren Andoron - CO): Dwelmant ah Tyran
7th Infantry Division (Lieutenant General Andrew Lucien - CO): Dwelmant un Naera
10th Infantry Division (Major General Alan Turek - CO): Gari ah Wae
13th Infantry Division (Lieutenant General Robert Newsome - CO): Gari ah Ea
16th Infantry Division (Lieutenant General Thomas York - CO): Dwelmant ah Sou
Though the rest of the military is reportedly already organized, the treasury has yet to pay for any equipment for these divisions.
