Klingon Great Hall

Red light bathed the large open chamber where the High Council of the Klingon empire held its meetings. A seven foot klingon in robes strode through the large entryway with a bat'leth in hand. "I am ready to complete my duty as Arbiter of Succession," boomed the elder klingon.

"Very well Re'an son of Grahn," spoke the acting head of the council.

"While the appointment of Captain Kor was on a temporary basis, he has proven to be far more honorable than our previous Chancellor every was," spoke the Arbiter. "The House of Duras is the only other house to speak out against Kor. Seeing as they are filled with swine, I see no reason why Kor can not be the Chancellor of the Klingon Empire!"

Voices in the room growled and cheered in support of the Dahar Master. Afterall the empire must be led by a true Klingon warrior who had taken the blood of his enemy and was bound for Sto Vo Kor upon death.

Kor of course accepted his appointment to Chancellor. "Long live the Empire!" he yelled. "Glory awaits all of us."

Kor got to work quickly on rebuilding the Klingon military might.

The old D5 class cruiser and elderly bird of preys had been the backbone of the Klingon Defense Force for nearly a century. A new ship had to be developed.

Using the tried and proved design of the D5 as a basis, the D7 class cruiser was developed as the primary weapon of the Klingon Empire. Thanks to Romulan technology, she would be equipped with a cloaking device. With an upgraded anti-matter reactor to power her engines and heavy disruptors, she would be both fast and deadly in a battle.

A new design was being drawn up for the replacement of the Bird of Prey. The new class was to be known as the B'Rel class. It would take longer to design, but it would be a versatile scout, transport, and warship.
