News from the the Twilight Mountains, indicates that local rebels have publicly announced their decision to establish a formal state within the borderlands region.

It has been well documented that border clashes between many neighboring powers, within the disputed region, have been ongoing for years. Recently however an uneasy truce has seen a vacuum of local government, as many states claim sovereignty over the region but dare not risk breaking the delicate political stalemate. This inaction has led to the continual rise of the twilight days brotherhood and their ruthless regime establishing more and more control over the local populace.

Millions of refugee's are fleeing area's considered under brotherhood control, with terrifying reports of brutality and deliberate human rights abuses commonplace. The men and women we managed to speak to on the ground, looked like they had been through atrocious conditions, which is in part understand given this regions long history of contained civil unrest and war. Yet it is undeniable that so much of the suffering we see has to be due to the current power grab within the region, families torn apart or starving, men and women separated from their children, reports of executions being commonplace, the rule of law absolute....

A spokesman for the brotherhood has denied all reports of any mistreatment of loyal subjects, deeming any of the alleged negative reporting, propganda by those seeking to undermine the brotherhoods grand vision. This claim has been thrown out by many neighboring countries, claiming the brotherhood to be no more than terrorists and the cause of much of the regions long history of troubles.

Whatever the truth of the matter, with five million people living in the region and millions more fleeing for their lives and in need of aid, the future for this region looks grim.

Seeing that the disorder of the country is great the Empire wishes to strike the rebels with 50,000 ready troops who were to be sent to a now delayed campaign with 1 division of Armored support and 1 Air Wing. These forces will have 3 goals.
A.Defeat the rebellion
B.Prop up the current government to help the Empire and restore order.
C.Bring Christianity to the people who may be ignorant of it in this nation as a stabilizing force.

The independent news network brings you an unbiased update on the situation in the Twilight region, which is unfortunately deteriorating rapidly. The alleged Atrocities being committed by the twilight brotherhood continue unabated, homes burned and looted, dissenters rounded up and shot. Will none come to the aid of those trapped within the cities and forced to serve or worse? Those killed in the name of what now many can see as a clearly terrorist organization.

The Empire of Gortania, one of several major powers bordering the region, have announced the opening of their borders to the refugee's plight. This has led to a rush of hopeful families and individuals of all races and creeds swarming on Gortania's borders. The scene is chaotic and dealing with it might prove difficult, as the roads are becoming blocked and jammed as more and more people try to get out of the war torn region.

Fighting is breaking out over the limited resources available, often leading to tragic consequences, as desperate, starving people struggle to find the basic necessities of life. The borderlands region is home to many diverse peoples, being claimed by several sovereign nations; this cultural melting pot in the current situation is only causing old feuds and arguments to flare up. The situation has not escalated on a large scale along semantic lines but if the problem is not dealt with, it very well could.

The Empire of Gortania might find logistics a problem even before it enters the region with this mass exodus of refugee's blocking any transport network, which is in a sorry state as it is. Of course then the mountainous region itself is a treacherous ground for any large force wishing to cross it, the main population centers lie within the many deep, lush forests in valleys contained within.

Although there are many Christians within Twilight there are also other faiths present, one worried individual disclosed to us his views regarding Gortania's policies "But my faith is everything to me, what will happen to my soul when I leave here, I can't stay but I can't go and change my faith...can I?"

A, Hit and run strikes from the mountains are our main priority, delay and harass at all costs so we might prepare for any invasion force.
B, Any disloyal subjects fleeing the Twilight Region are to be considered our supreme enemy and any and all action is to be taken to cull these unworthy dogs.
C, Dig in and strike enemy supply lines should they push past you, make them pay for every inch of our soil.
D, Infiltrate and strike fear into the very hearts of our enemy, use the chaos to your advantage.


CBTF Current Actions

1, 7,000 Regular Partisan fighters, organized into cells and armed with light weapons and equipment, are beginning to move quickly through the mountains, conducting guerrilla attacks on Gortania's and indeed any other front line forces advancing over the borders. Surprise and speed are on their side, never staying in one place for long. They are attempting to inflict damage on moral just as much, if not more than casualties, striking the weakest or most vulnerable units as they traverse the most dangerous regions. Their secondary aim is to hit any armored units while they are at their most vulnerable, in the mountain regions.

4, An additional 5,000 reserve forces are securing front line defenses, digging in for a long fight in the mountain passes and choke points, these are less experienced men or often boys, some 100 conscripts to just 10 regular soldiers and often brutally commanded out of fear rather than respect. These have a mixed array of weaponry, mostly small arms with some fixed weapon emplacements present.

3, The Majority of the remaining forces, many being conscripted and forced into service, are reinforcing the main cities defenses, digging trenches, traps and underground networks for a long, bitter battle. The countries thick, lush forests are often the site of these defenses.

The CBTF generals first, 1000 men and their elite regiment under personal command of the Jalon Mkan are being outfitted and ordered to infiltrate the populace, some are to act as refugee's and cross Gotania's borders, others are weed out dissenters to our grand cause and vision. The representative, union government of the region is being torn apart at the seams, in no small part due to the generals first regiment. Although a largely fragile entity even at the pinnacle of its power, the Representative Union government was always pulled between the various powers of the region and now with Twilights internal difficulties being what they are, is bordering on collapse and needs immediate aid.


National Guard Loyalist Actions
Anti Rebel, government forces.

Hearing about possible support for their cause the loyalists are redoubling their efforts to reorganize their regiments, though small in number, they are better trained and armed than the rebels.

The Former Internal Security Minister - Il el Alara has come out of hiding and declared that all rebel leaders are to surrender and lay down their weapons or face the full force of the national guards response.

Minister Il el Alara, is often credited and blamed with much of the violence associated with the rebellion, ruthless in his approach to finding and eliminating any perceived rebel threat, whether it was ultimately valid or not, he is an uncomprimising man and feared leader.

-Current status of the National guard forces.-

3rd Union Regiment. 1,000 Men. The most intact of the national guard regiments, its current status is regrouping in the north east of the country.

25th Mountaineers - 250 Men A unit with extensive experience of the mountain and fighting within them but sadly one that suffered the most defections to the rebellion.

7th Union Regiment - 1,500 Men. The remaining national guard forces have begun to reorganize into the 7th regiment, they are extremely disorganized however and command and control is a problem.

The United Kingdom of Brutland and Norden has heard of the news coming from a nation in its region. As it is the Kingdom's goal to promote stability in the region, we would like to send humanitarian aid and peacekeepers to the Twilight Days in order to help the people.

The United Kingdom of Brutland and Norden remains neutral in this impending civil war. Our interest is in the welfare of the people and in the establishment of peace, and if still possible, in the prevention of war.

" At 0400 this morning, Special Boat Service operators of the Royal Marines (SBS) seized the airport under the control of the twilight brotherhood. We can confirm that 67 members of the brotherhood are dead, although reports from the situation more were injured. At 0520 the entire 1st assault group re-enforced the area. At 0730 45 marines commando brigade landed, some 5,500 troops of the brigade are now there, along with sufficient armour and AFV'S."

"The marines purpose here is to capture and hold strategic points for the national government and assist its armies in defeating the brotherhood. At this point we would like to make an official invitation to the President, to be extracted to our nation. this would provide saftey and cover while he co-ordinates his troops in the eventual re-takeover of the country."

"1940hrs, Commando's land in Hagen, a northern industrial town. They suprised the occuping brotherhood by using chinooks and sea king helicopters and landing on key points of the city. They also used rigig raiders to assault the city via the river that runs through it. The Commandos are here in numbers of 3,200, and are understood to have taken 6 dead and 27 casualties in the takeover. However the brotherhood has lost a senior commander and over 300 fighters in the conflict, but still the battle still rages."
"Commando armour has taken up positons on the outskirts and dug in while air cover is being flown in from the recently captured airport. Armoured patrols of land rovers and warrior armoured vehicles are on the streets every where although many insurgents are putting up pockets of resistance in the office blocks of the inner city."

From: 7th Union Command

Clashes with the Vestern States and the 7th Union loyalist today occurred when part of the advancing 67th Vestern Battlegroup was mistaken for part of a fleeing partisan cell, believed to belong to the brotherhood rebels operating in the area. Although command and control under direct orders by President Mathew Williams tried to halt the response of the 7th Union, the disorganized regiment was barely able to respond it time before a full firefight broke out. After three hours of prolonged if sporadic gun battles, the 7th Union retreated to the nearby town Il el Morai. It is believed 30 Vestern personnel and were reported killed, along with some light armor units, however over 100 Loyalists fighters are missing or presumed dead.

The royal marine commando's raid, backed up by the Angaor federations landing has been a huge success, we are grateful for such decisive strikes this early in the war, taking that airfield is a hugely symbolic action for my people, one of many that will give us hope in the coming months, I send my thanks to both your governments.

Further strikes are encouraged and welcomed, I will deploy the, 25th Mountaineers to help keep brotherhood partisans from getting to close to the airport to launch a counter raid.

I do fear for my safety and that of my staff, just yesterday a bomb blast took out one of my bodyguards cars not 100 yards from me, however if I were to leave, I fear I would not have the same influence I am able to assert being so close to the frontlines, yet if I am to die that influence would all be for nothing.

I will leave the decision in your commando’s and intelligence officers hands, though if I am to leave I will not go without my staff and family, some twenty of my closest confidants located in the rocky town of Dnona. With the Vestern States forces being close at hand, the situation on the ground may cause me to move shortly anyway…

Your peace keeping efforts are appreciated more than you know, though we have limited naval access in our country, the golden sea is not far over the border with our neighbors, whom I am sure you can negotiate the use of their airspace, it will only be useful for long haul flights I am afraid.

We could use your forces to establish order in any surrounding settlements away from the frontlines, though I would advise you to avoid the major cities and any brotherhood controlled area’s, otherwise we cannot guarantee your safety in a peacekeeping role. The refugee’s fleeing the area are of little concern to our command and strategic position and thus I would not waste time attending to their wellbeing, that said you are welcome to treat them.

We would appreciate your aid more than ever in the north of the country, the east is of little concern to us strategically speaking.

Suddenly there is silence and static, the message has been scrambled and is inaudible! This is strange as the enemy do not know the location of the president… a most odd turn of events, why would someone who knew his location want to block outgoing messages from the president?

Twilight Brotherhood, CBTF Actions

Partisan fighters response to their twin northern aggressors has been quick, though at present light, gun battles are constant sound in the air and progress over the rugged terrain, after the initial assault, is constantly met with light but frequent resistance. More CBTF Fighters are moving from the west, from Gortania's border, to deal with the two new threats and if some fortifications are not put up, the troops may not hold the airport intact. So far 10 Marines or soldiers belong to the two forces have been badly injured or killed in counter raids, along with some two dozen partisan fighters.

It is important to note, he further the Angaor Federation and Royal Marine Commando's advance into the more built up area's of Twilight, the more fixed emplacements and defenses they will encounter, as more and more are being set up to protect the capital, even some makeshift AA exists around Delta but as yet not too much. Still much of the army manning these defenses is untrained and conscripted with poor moral, decisive strikes on the right targets and cleverly laid plans could see half the brotherhoods army retreating before the battle is actually fought against them.

Meanwhile Gortania's borders are still overwhelmed by refugee's, the problems at makeshift camps and communities are worsening, disease is beginning to spread, conditions are appalling, assault and even killing for food is commonplace. Several rival camps are begin to appear along semantic lines, just as predicted if the situation cannot be reversed.

The partisans in the hills near Gortania continue to harass any troops sent over the borders, killing and injuring with sniper and RPG fire. Though their numbers are less, as many retreat back to counter other threats from the north. Some two dozen soldiers have been reported injured on the western front, with no deaths as of yet on either side.

Your message could not of come at a better time, our home is being invaded by foreign powers and we are under threat from all sides, our civilians suffer at the hands of mad men, whom cannot see past their own greed.

Our glorious city Jlari is slipping into anarchy, with factions threatening to tear it apart and only widen the civil war, no matter what anyone has told you, please remain neutral and try to bring the factions under control. The last thing the country needs at this point is semantic fighting between people wishing to settle their petty vendetta’s.

If you do not act swiftly, the civil war will only deepen to a point we cannot pull it back from, please… do not turn a blind eye to the suffering of the people, whoever's side you may be on.

Your words are wise my friend, please by all means use your forces to sabotage enemy efforts by whatever means necessary. In that regard we propose an alliance between our great nations, one whereby we will be greatly in your debt for any assistance you or your allies might give us.

My second in command Harrack has suggested the northern airport at Halari appears to be lost to us, this is a critical link in the enemies supply lines into this mountainous region, if you were to disable it sufficiently by whatever means necessary, this would cripple enemy operations and their ability to launch further raids into our territories

Additionally insurgency operations in any cities or towns falling to loyalist control would be appreciated, if we are only able to drive a wedge between the loyalist commanders, as their allegiance is precarious at best, we may yet have a chance of utterly defeating them by divide and conquer

This is Jill Sanders reporting live from inside Lano or Jlari as it is now referred to here. In light of recent successes in the loyalist favor, security has actually been increased at key brotherhood locations but decreased in the city of Jlari as a whole. As the as the security presence is reined back tensions are mounting between rival factions who see this as an opportunity to settle old disputes.

Several bomb blasts have been heard in the cities main shopping center, with reports of casualties are coming in. Gunfire has been exchanged between rival groups believed to belong to community leader and communist party supporter Jinn-el Onan and right wing Christian religious leader Sagcrat Jkan. How this dispute will play out is unknown but it is rumored both loyalist and rebel factions are attempting to open a dialogue with the rival warlords, to reign in the violence or at the very least turn it to their cause.

Broadcasts by Jalon Mkan and President Williams today were again aired in an ongoing media battle for control of the airwaves. It seems however president Williams broadcasts are having trouble getting through, which leaves the Brotherhood with a clear advantage in winning the population over to its cause, at least while its media outlets remain untouched by the war.

Fighting on several fronts seems to be intensifying and the war is as of yet not seemingly favoring one side or the other, the longer this goes on the more the people of Twilight Suffer under the strain...

Vestern States accepts the apologies from teh Loyalists.
However, Vestern States High Command has decided to deploys one additional battlegroup and to expand the Buffer-zone by 20%

Fling over head the sounds of the Black C-150 Whale Kings engines where unnoticed as the sounds of war masked the approach. As night fell before the operation, visual contact was out of the question. Within the whale king was 1 3rd Division of Instigators, a rogue armed units trained in guerrilla warfare, sabotage, espionage, and various forms of Terrorism they had but one purpose. To harass the enemy from behind enemy lines, to disrupt supplies chains of their enemies, and to cause wide spread destruction with the intent to harm. All these things where their one purpose in short to destabilize the enemy.

The body of the whale king carried a full arsenal of weapons, supplies, and arms of all kinds ranging from a barretta 9mm to a WTI Gatling Shotgun. It also carried explosives ranging from a grenade to condensed C-12 unstable Plastic Explosives which have almost 5x the bang of a standard 1 LBS brick of C-4. As the Divisions readied for combat drops they also dropped crate after crate of weapons and armor to Brotherhood troops in the area.

Then the largest of crates was wheeled to the back door where the Division was getting ready to jump. The crate carried enough explosives to level 80 sq. blocks of reinforced concrete. and enough weapons to supply an army... which they intended on doing...

After some time to review to plans the divisions began its jumps. about 500 soldiers dropped from the sky under the cover of night about 6 miles from the airport that was assigned to be either taken or destroyed. The whale king was covered by having a radar jamming/ signal replacing system that sent a fake signal back making them look like a flock of gulls.

The teams floated down with weapons drawn. AS the touched down they loaded up and struck out to scout the airport...

Today Imperial troops shut down half of the roads refugees have been using in order to facilitate troop movements more quickly the Empire has left the other half of the roads open to refugees.

Also the Emperor gave this response to the verbal attacks of the rebels and the questions of the people of Twilight Days:

To the concerned people: Although we prefer Christianity our soldiers will aonly attempt conversion and will not force people to make a choice.

To the Rebels:As you incite nations against us for supporting the LEGITIMATE government you will be treated as you are: traitors no quarter will be given.

On the front lines Gortanian soldiers made small penetrations and killed a number of rebels casualties number nearly 200 dead and wounded. Nearly 20,000 of the original 50.000 promised along with armored forces numbering over 200 at this point. The Empire has announced the mobilization on another 50,000 soldiers and the Imperial Air Force has been given authorization to launch massive airstrikes using dozens of planes to clear areas in front of the armies.

Supreme General Frank Johnson Commander of the Military announced he would like to contact the Government armies to plan a joint offensive to unite their forces and begin retaking the nation. He also appeals to other nations for their support not opposition to Gortania's support of the legitimate government.

The Grand Empire of Vestern States will not conduct military operations against the rebels, at least not as of time being.
The objectives of the massive military of Vestern States is currently to uphold the Protected Zone to protect the interrests of Vestern States in the region.
Refugees are welcome to seek aid from Vestern States.

However, should the Zone be attacked by hostile forces, Vestern States will respond with a full-scale military invasion by the full migth of the imperial military.

"0145 this morning a troop of 30 SBS operators stormed a broadcasting station on the outskirts of the capital, it controls most of the countries TV and radio and was in control of Brotherhood insurgents. 1 operator was wounded but is believed to be in a stable condition, over 90 believed Brotherhood members were killed but 4 civilian's were wounded, 1 died later. At 0221 400 marines arrived via Chinook to the station and secured it. The government can now set about delivering a campagin to win over support in the country with ease. Also this morning the marines have secured a hydro dam in the centre of the country and is now giving power to millions, yet another propaganda advance against the brotherhood. over 2000 troops are staioned at the dam, totaling the Royal Marines troop count at over 17,000 excluding special forces e.t.c.
We can also confirm that Trin has been succesfully secured by the commandos after 2 days of intense fighting. We are going to use this to mount joint air and land patrols into the countries mountains providing security for the population, and possibly harvest much needed resources for the government of Twilight Days. "

The total Vestern States military force in The Zone were now 145.000 ground troops, 700 figthers and 150 bombers. Enough to secure the oilwells and ore-mines close on the border to Vestern States.

High Command had feared that the separatists hould make an attempt to sabotage the mining and drilling-operations, witch provided much needed resources to Vestern States.

There had been several broadcasts made by the Loyalists and it´s allies, but it was simply not in the interests of VS to intervene in a civil war. VS were protecting their interrests. If to engage, there would be required a very good excuse for that.
Vestern States did posess the military resources to eradicate every single living organism from the areas where the Brotherhood were known to operate. Nothing a salvo of tactical ballistic missiles couldn't handle.
This was in any case what the Brotherhood had to expect, should one single Vestern States trooper get as much as a scratch from a Brotherhood member.

As the teams moved out towards the airport they stopped frequently to ensure that no other military forces had scouts out looking for another approaching from direction. Usually nothing came up but animals and themselves. Packed with them they had the weapons needed to attack the airport.

As he finished speaking, the sounds of clicking bolts filled the air for about 2 seconds before they quickly subsided. 30 minutes later the division made to a point where the airport was in full view. The plan was being formulated...

Vestern Front Lines

Today once again there were clashes between loyalist forces and Vestern states front line positions, one refinery is ablaze in the aftermath, with three separate firefights reported. 15 Vestern states soldiers have been killed along with 30 loyalists, with more than two dozen injured on both sides. Tensions are high and elements of loyalist command blames the Vestern states for starting the firefight. Independent sources point the figure of blame at Brotherhood insurgents, dressed in Vestern State uniforms attacking loyalist positions and then disappearing toward the border, the infamous cell commander Harrack is reported to be in the area and the possible man behind this change in tactics. Additionally bomb blasts occurred beyond vestern state front lines in the east of the country today, damaging a supply convoy headed for the front…

7th Union forces have taken up fixed positions and begun to dig in, attempting to halt any further Vestern advances, of course this position means further incidents are likely between the two opposing forces…

The Halari Northern Airport

Loyalist 25th Mountaineers, appointed by President Williams to guard the airport, are well trained for quick hit and run strikes but not for defensive actions, meaning the approach from the specialist forces into the airport is going relatively unseen. The Mountaineers had been having some success in driving off the partisan forces in the immediate area but any action on the airport itself might well cause these forces to rally for an assault.

Occasionally the infiltrating teams would come across a loyalist unit but they wouldn’t stand up to well trained and disciplined assault for long, any incidents being attributed to partisans, which were actively fighting in the area. Just 3 of the unknown but deadly specialist forces have been reported injured with any unknown number of loyalists being neutralized on their silent approach.

Little had been done to reinforce the airport itself, with patrols being limited to the overstretched loyalist forces. The Angaor federations reinforcements had not yet arrived it seems and the airport, providing critical supplies for the loyalist forces was unfortified and relatively vulnerable…

3rd Union Regiment

Under command of Il el Alara, the 3rd Union have begun assaults on several rebel northern towns; their commanders reputation for violently suppressing any rebel sentiment seems well earned, as many, largely unheard of civil rights abuses are carried out in the name of restoring order.

His harsh response however has meant the northern towns now largely falling under Loyalist control, albeit out of fear rather than respect or loyalty…

The 3rd Union regiment has begun force conscriptions and training over this period, a hastily cobbled together 1st Union regiment force has been created.

Brotherhood Actions

The Capital and Trin

The quick attack on the capital was extremely well planned, it had precisely the right effect in shaking moral. However of course the capital is the most defended and loyal city to the rebellion and thus the population will not easily be swayed to the loyalist cause, the central broadcasting network station will surely help, however riots are extremely likely. The empires first regiment, infiltrated in the populace, has begun stirring the population in the capital against the marines actions…

Several conscript regiments have begun mobilizing to retake the station and clashes with marines will be bloody, as these untrained and low moral regiments are forced toward their enemy, dissent has already spread through their ranks however, as the Loyalist government begins negative propaganda against the rebels cause.

Trin has reacted more positively to the invasion, with the leadership there suffering a severe blow to its more fragile hold on the city. The city itself is not yet in marine hands as more conscript and reserve regiments are forced into civilian structures for cover, outside the city, rpg and fire from the erected defenses hampers any supplies entering the city. Much of the resistance however is melting away in Trin… especially with communist party actions.

The Hydro Dam

The dam itself is difficult to approach and has met very little resistance, with just one reserve regiment partially committing itself to mortar attacks and other long range, inaccurate, fire on the dam itself. They seem to be trying to desperately disable, rather than retake the dam. 5 Marines have been killed and around a dozen injured in the attacks with around 40 reservists falling to their counter actions. Moral in the reserve regiments is shaky but holding.

Gortania's frontline

Gortania, facing the strongest resistance so far from the trained Partisan forces in the west of the country, have been engaged in violent and prolonged skirmishes, leading to bogged down fighting, which in fairness has suited Gortania much more than the partisans who would prefer hit and run attacks. Some 70 of Gortania’s soldiers have been killed with over 500 rebel casualties. Informants have revealed however, it is likely that with this strong resistance CBTF rebellion command and control will be in the west of the country...

The rebels are digging in to the western towns Halari-Jinnia and the larger Icutta, for cover, using civilians as potential shields. These towns have been largely deserted, by the flood of refugee’s but any attempt to take them will lead to civilian casualties.

Firstly we must bring dire news that one of our reporters Jill Sanders, has been taken hostage by local insurgents in the city of Jlari. The city itself is falling into chaos, with the promised peacekeeping forces still not making any inroads into the city or surrounding area, any attempts to reach her have failed.

Jlari is falling apart, with bomb blasts and gunfire an hourly occurrence now, forces loyal to the rebellion, religious and communist factions are all fighting for control. If something is not done immediately to stop the breakdown, the south of the country will soon be in total anarchy.

The refugee crises has now spread to all area’s of the country but is definitely worse in the north and west, which has seen the heaviest fighting. The promised peacekeeping forces have not yet arrived and as a result, the country is splinting down cultural and religious lines… the longer the civil war wears on, the more the country will fracture in the power vaccum.

Sagcrat Jkan – Right wing religious extremist actions

Martial law in Jalari, sister town of the city Jlari has today been declared by insurgent forces belonging to the Archbishop Sagcrat Jkan. The largely religious population has allegedly welcomed the religious figure head with open arms, the move is seen by many as a power grab by the local warlord but it has strengthened his hold on the south of the country.

Jinn-el Onan – Communist Party Actions

Communist forces today have caused demonstrations against the war and in favor of a communist leadership in the city of Trin, the refugee crises and atrocious working conditions in the city, are make the population sympathetic to the communist parties cause.

Recruitment for the party is being stepped up and becoming more widespread, as the power vacuum increases.

"Seeing a mass of parachutes fall, the patrol of 3 landrovers turned around and headed back. The marines had honed their mortars and artillery in on the area outside the airport and pulled in any outlying troops. Dozens of machine guns and LSW's had been set-up along the perimeter. then the unkown forces came into the firing range, saftey catches were released and mortars and artillary were ready itching to let off. Slowly a Union Jack was raised above the control tower. Snipers set there targets in their cross hairs and released the saftey catch. It was their move."

As the Division scouted the area, one of the men spotted something. Not sure what it was he notified his commander.

" Sir. I saw something about 50 ft away from our position. It looks like a senor of some type. I have tried to run a diagnostic on it but it seems to be on a secure network. I am farily confident that it is a monitoring system... Which means they know we are here."

The Commander thought for a second before ordering all units to fall back. But as a present he made sure that any scouting parties found a welcoming present if they came looking.

As they began moving out a laser painter was left on its prop and pointed directly at the airports central structures. Around the laser prop was a buried 6 LBS brick was C-4 explosive.

The Empire has announced it will accept an alliance with Sagcrat Jkan and the southern Christians.

Although the announced death toll by twilight officials was only 50 the Empire reported 1500 casualties soon aferr and would like to note this was due to a series of bloody assaults to break out toward the northern airfield (this offense was haulted) and to our allies in the south which is rolling steadily and 30,000 Imperial infantry are expected to begin entering the area.

The Empire has also slashed its forces in other conflicts to hold in reserve for this conflict as more men and materiel are funneled into the country.

The Empire's dispositions as we are annoucning to our allies is as follows:
190 tanks from the 5th Armored Corps pushing on Halari in the north to reinforce it from the rebels.

100 Aircraft from the 2nd Imperial Air Wing and 40,000 infantry from 3 divisions in the West trying to breakout on a major front to begin retaking larger cities. The Emperor has given me perission for use of carpet bombing where all targets in front of our forces will be bombed flat and then the Army will advance. As much warning as possible will be given to loyal people to evacuate. Any rebels left behind will be killed and if they leave as well then we can advance with no resistance and repeat the tactic.

In the South 30,000 Imperial Soldiers are pressing toward the Southern Christians for a link up and we will then press northward to outflank the rebels holding our forces in the West.

The Empire also has 38,000 more soldiers on hand on the border to be used for reinforcements. Total imperial forces being mobilized for all conflicts including these is 500,000 however only a part of these will ever reach Twilight lands. (OOC: that way there isnt a rediculous overflow of troops since Gortania is capable of such a number and far more besides)

500 miles off shore....


The small carrier waded just out of radar range as the order came in to begin the operation. The small cessna aircraft was loaded with the required materials and was outfitted with animatronic manicans to make it appears as iff the craft is trnasporting refugee from the conflict was was damaged in the process. It was the most innocent looking weapon ever produced. Before the cessna was launched off its surface a machanic outfitted a smoke emitter to make it apears as if it where truely damaged.

25 hours later after the request was made the cessna was launched from the deck of the small carrier. Soon after the launch, the carrier was altered and made to look like a cargo ship holding off from making port.

The small cessna took to the sky and flew into land before turning and making its way to the airport. By its direction, it would be coming from a region where battles where raging, and the distress calls would not be questioned by any person with a soul.

The manican inside was programmed to movewhen the voice operator spoke into his mic incase they sent a fighter escort to view the people inside. These manicans where top notch, and unless you where 2 feet away, could not tell the difference.

The General in Command thought for a short while before he answered.

But i do think we should call for another 4 Battlegroups and some Missile Brigades. If it comes to a point where we will have to take an active role, i want to have the upper hand in terms of firepower. And Major...i have a special task for you.... I want you to make contact with the Minister"

The Vestern States military force would after the reinforcements number some 330 000 units infantry. 2500 armored units and several hundreds of strike aircrafts. And 48 mobile missile launchers.

If this would escalate, there would be one hell of a fight.

With the termination of a seperate conflict Imperial forces available for this area are now 42,000. The Empire is announcing 10,000 new infantry forces will be put into the Northern assault to assist the armor. 100 tanks will be sent to the Southern Front to speed up the linkup as well. The remaining 32,000 infantry will wait on the border for further developments.
