Royal siblings seek postings as ambassadors

San Adriano's top diplomat, Lorenzo Shau, has announced that Crown Prince Mauro and his sister Princess Petra have offered, with Parliament's approval, to serve their country as ambassadors stationed abroad.

San Adriano is now seeking countries willing to welcome one of the royal siblings as ambassador.

Crown Prince Mauro (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Mauro_Katoren) is 37 years old, married, and has two young sons. Princess Petra is 34, married, and has an infant son. Prince Mauro has a Master's degree in Law, while Princess Petra is a fully qualified doctor.

The Crown Prince and his sister have stated that they would like to serve their country in an active manner, and gain experience of international diplomacy, vital for persons who are first and fourth in line to the throne.

They both speak Italian, Wymgani and Dutch, as well as English as a foreign language.

"We will consider all nations which express an interest in welcoming His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mauro or Her Royal Highness Princess Petra as ambassador," Mr. Shau said. "Priority will be given to countries which already have diplomatic relations with San Adriano (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=516978), but we would also be pleased to establish relations with more countries."

Mr. Shau added that another factor taken into consideration would be the nature and quality of the education system in the host nation.

"Their Highnesses will want their children to be educated in the country where the embassies are established, of course," he explained.

The two royals have said that they would also like to work in whatever country they move to as ambassadors.

"Serving as ambassador may not be a full-time job," the Crown Prince said. "I'm trained as a legal adviser; I can work, and make myself useful to the country I'll be living in as ambassador." Princess Petra has said she is willing to work as a doctor.

San Adriano is one of the world's tiniest countries (see more information here (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/San_Adriano)), and, due to its minuscule population, rarely sends ambassadors abroad.

"We hope to establish very close relations with the two countries that will host Their Royal Highnesses," Mr. Shau said.

U.S. MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

The United States, although having no diplomatic contact, would be honored if either or both the Crown Prince and Princess would act as ambassadors to the United States. We hope that as representatives of both the People and the royal family that our acquaintance-like bonds may grow strong to be a close friendship. As we have read your profile, we recognize the existence of your nation and the space at which you are able to host embassies. So it is with great honor that we send Minister Samrat Varma (M·AEMILIVS·M·F·M·N·DIVES) as Roman Representative to San Adriano. We would like to request an embassy the size of either a consulate or office floor.

We thank you for considering our letter and we patiently await your decision.

Your Excellency,

San Adriano would be delighted to establish formal diplomatic relations with the Roman Republic. Your offer to host one of Their Royal Highnesses, Crown Prince Mauro or Princess Petra, as ambassador, will be forwarded to Parliament and to Their Highnesses for consideration.

Due to the very small size (http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/2411/testsa5c1pw9.jpg) of our country, our policy is not to host foreign representatives on our own national territory. This would be physically impossible, as we quite literally have no room to construct embassies, even small ones. For that reason, we humbly request that Ambassador Samrat Varma be stationed in the Roman Republic. Naturally, we recognise Ambassador Samrat Varma as representative accredited to San Adriano, and I would like to extend an invitation to the ambassador to visit our country and meet our head of State, Her Royal Highness Princess Serena.

We look forward to close and friendly relations between our two countries.

OOC: I'm going to wait a little while and see whether there's further interest before I decide who goes where. Can you describe the education system (notably pre-school and primary school) in the Roman Republic? If Princess Petra becomes ambassador there, she'd be bring her infant son.

The New Aryan State wishes to establish friendly diplomatic relations with the Sovereign Village of San Adriano, and would be honoured to host either Crown Prince Mauro or Princess Petra as an ambassador. The Diplomatisches Viertel (Diplomatic Quarter), a subsector of the capital city of Belsin, would be the location of the embassy.

The DV is a five minute walk from the city centre, a hub of commerce, with views overlooking the Freizeitgarten - a public park four kilometres long and one kilometre wide. The city contains numerous public and several private schools of varying discipline levels, tradition and history, though all of high standard.

We look forward to your reply, regardless of the decision.

Dear sir,

At present, San Adriano has very little information on the New Aryan State. Could you provide us with an overview?

Emiliano de Rossi,
Member of Parliament

OOC: I should add that Mauro and Petra are of mixed ethnic descent. They're part-white and part-Wymgani, a Pacific people fairly similar to Polynesians. In consequence, the prince and princess' skin hue is a very light brown. If your country has some sort of racist, white supremacist government, Sanadrianese royals may not feel very welcome there. Nor would they want their children to go to a school that would tell them they're inferior.

Bundesrepublik des Neuen Arischen Staat
Büro der Internationalen Angelegenheiten

The New Aryan State is an autonomous, federal, parliamentary, representative democratic republic, economically strong and respectful of its citizens' rights. Though the nation's past has been turbulent and at times controversial, the new post-civil war government is proving to be a responsible member of the international community.

Tolerance and respect of differing cultures, religions, races and creeds is a cornerstone of the new Bundesrepublik. Oppressive and autocratic regimes, which the NAS has experienced too much in recent history, are despised.

Flourishing industries in the NAS include the manufacture of automobiles, armaments, machinery, industrial chemicals and prescription drugs. The NAS also has a rapidly expanding financial services industry. Major employers include automobile companies, engineering and design companies, the Staatlicher Gesundheitsdienst (National Health Service) and the Bundeswehr.

OOC: The NAS was one of several Nazi-esque nations that appeared in the spring/summer of 2004, and originally I governed it accordingly. Then there was a civil war, blah blah blah, and now we have the far more respectable Bundesrepublik.

There's still a little prejudice among the older generation, say 65+.

San Adriano would be pleased to establish diplomatic relations with the Bundesrepublik. Because our country is so small, it is physically impossible for us to host foreign embassies on our own territory, but we would be happy to recognise an ambassador named by the Bundesrepublik and accredited to San Adriano without residing in the Sovereign Village.

Your kind offer to host His Highness Crown Prince Mauro or Her Highness Princess Petra will be forwarded to Parliament and to their Royal Highnesses for consideration.

The United States is happy to hear that you are able to send one of the Royal Children to act as your representatives. Furthermore, we understand your situation in hosting foreign embassies. OCC: Well, I based my country's education system to the United States in the sense for public schools. Private education exists, but has their own curriculum and is monitored by the government. As for the classrooms, it is segregated by gender when the child enters 1st grade. You child will be required to speak Hindi with the optional language Latin. Depending on the state where the child may stay, he has the opportunity to speak the state language (e.g. Gujarati, German, Arabic, Russian, Punjabi, etc.)

The Imperial Socialist Republic of Zanski would like to establish new relations with San Adriano, as the government of Zanski has switched hands twice since King Kang Arma. We are now ruled by General Hagan.

Hagan has offered to give a sum of Z200,000,000 to this tiny state, and we offer SA a visit from Hagan.we respect SA's small space and while we want to build-or convert a building into- an embassy, we will respect SA's word on this matter should it refuse.

Should these offers be taken up, Zanski will offer open trade and a discount to SA citizens in Ghollomo university, in the nation's richest city per capita.

We name our ambassador as Julis Namiran.

The Dictorial Republic of Sumer would be happy to host Princess Petra if she is so inclined. It would certianly open the way for dipolmatic relations between our two nations, and allow some expansion of the identity of both the Princess and her family.
Education is a high priority in Sumer, and as such elements such as math and science, and especially history, are all held to high degrees of expectations. Schooling is free and public, with high teacher-to-student ratios and excellent comprehensive cirriculums make it a very good system. Additionally transportation is public within the cities, and maintained to a high standard as well, small electric powered vehicles are avalible within cities, but their use may be restricted. As a result Sumerian cities are very open and pedestrian freindly, well secure with Territorial Guard police presence, and the air is very clean.
The one issue the Princess may find would be the fact that none of the languages she, and I presume her husband, speak are very common in Sumer. The Sumerian language and writing systems may seem complex and difficult to foreigners, but I can assure you that we have comprehensive programs set up which the Princess and her family would be encouraged to enjoy, which provide education for foreign citizens within Sumer as to the language and writing, and translators can be provided for the initial durration of the stay. The Princess' young daughter would of course be educated in the language at school, and should have little problem picking it up.

I would be happy to provide any additional information if needed.

The Sovereign Village is pleased to establish diplomatic relations with the Imperial Socialist Republic of Zanski, and we would like to thank you for your most generous offer.

Ambassador Namiran is duly recognised as ambassador accredited to San Adriano. Should you wish for one of Her Royal Highness Princess Serena's children to serve as ambassador to your country, I will forward the offer to Their Royal Highnesses.

Unfortunately, there is no space on our national territory to construct new buildings, and all existing buildings are already put to use.

We would, however, be most happy to welcome an official visit to San Adriano by Ambassador Namiran and/or any other official from Zanski.

Offical Message from the Foreign Office

The nation of Bhretania Mhor would like to establish diplomatic relations with the nation of San Adriano and we offer to host Princess Petra and/or her brother (if one of them are inclined) and we offer an embassy in our capital of Londain's Embassy Street. Our nation has a rich and vivid educational heritage (based on the British system) with schools more than willing to accept the children of the Princess and/or Prince as students. Londain, if the Prince or Princess would like to know, is filled with numerous landmarks such as our famous clock tower and the Londain Eye, the world's largest ferris wheel. Prince Mauro could see the legal heritage of our nation and talk to members of the law courts while Princess Petra may, if she is inclined, see how our nation's doctors and physicians work in order to produce medical technology and medicine for our citizens. Any questions that you have should be sent to the Foreign Office where we will do our best to answer them. Even if you do not send either the Prince or Princess to our nation, we hope we can still establish diplomatic relations between our two nations and we wish your small nation the best.

Signed,

We thank the Sovereign Village for accepting our offer of establishing diplomatic relations and you are welcome for the information we have sent, as we offer our nation as the nation that the Prince or Princess may choose. The Sovereign Village is pleased to recognise Ambassador Shar Ishme Dagan as the Republic of Sumer's Ambassador accredited to San Adriano, and Ambassador Richard Porter as Bhreatain Mhor's Ambassador accredited to San Adriano.

Further, I may now announce that Her Royal Highness, the Princess Dr. Petra Katoren, fourth in the line of succession to the Sanadrianese throne, will be San Adriano's ambassador to the Roman Republic, and will reside there to fulfil her diplomatic duties as the Sovereign Village's representative.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mauro Katoren, heir to the Sanadrianese throne, will be the Sovereign Village's ambassador to the Republic of Zanski. His Highness will reside in Zanski to fulfil his diplomatic duties there.

Their Royal Highnesses may also, with the consent of nations involved, be named as ambassadors accredited to other nations. For instance, Her Royal Highness Princess Petra would be most willing to visit the Republic of Sumer for a short period, to strengthen diplomatic relations between our two countries.

We invite the Bundesrepublik, the Republic of Sumer and Bhretania Mhor to decide whether they wish to recognise one of their Royal Highnesses as non-resident ambassador accredited to their country. If not, San Adriano would like to appoint His Excellency Ambassador Lorenzo Shau as non-resident ambassador accredited to your three nations.

My country also extends an invitation to ambassadors and/or officials from all countries to visit San Adriano, where they will be welcomed by our ruling monarch, Her Royal Highness Princess Serena, at the Royal Palace.
