Test example of Juggernaut rocket

Juggernaut. An unstoppable force that will crush all in its path, the Juggernaut siege rocket lives up to its name.

Tired of watching fixed fortifications stymie assaults and of urban battles chewing up entire armies, and always aware of opportunities for profit, the engineers at Zivka Aerospace decided to build a weapon capable of reducing even the most reinforced surface fortification to rubble and clearing large swaths of cities. No more would costly infantry assaults or air strikes need to be made, simply lob the Juggernaut and watch the opposition turn to dust or an organic mist.

In the most scientific of methods, combining extreme inebriation with a handy magic 8-ball, it was decided that a warhead of nine thousand pounds of PBXN-103 would prove most suitable. The runner-up, five hundred hamsters deployed as cluster munitions, failed when more sober calculations showed that, despite the hilarity, it was fairly easy to armor against Mach 3 rodent impacts. This large warhead explodes with the energy of over eight tons of TNT. For comparison purposes, the American MOAB is filled with 18,700 pounds of H6 and has the energy of twelve tons of TNT. The Juggernaut only possesses an impact fuze, however, which means that it cannot conduct an air blast for a wider spread of damage. An end-user may modify this though, installing a barometric or radar proximity fuze of their own if they so desire.

Of course, one can't very well reduce a strongpoint if one doesn't hit it, now can they? Out of sheer laziness, a modified form of the GPS/INS guidance system in the famous JDAM kit was adopted for the rocket, the challenges of developing a new guidance package for the rocket being considered far too much trouble in the miseries of hangover. A semi-active laser seeker, with an accompanying 1m CEP, was also considered but this was rejected on the grounds of:
Hangover
Being dumb
Hangover
Involving effort
Hard
Pointless since the blast will take out most buildings within a one hundred meter radius and a 15m CEP is more than acceptable on those grounds, thankyouverymuch
Hangover
Being an SRBM, with an operation range of 200 kilometers, the Juggernaut has a short time of flight, no more than three minutes, and less if the Juggernaut is fired at less than its maximum range. This allows only a very short reaction time to enemy ATBM defenses, which is helpful as this is the only countermeasure the Juggernaut possesses. The nice fat radar target does make it a useful training aide for one's own ATBM crews however. Given the low price of the Juggernaut, available for export at a paltry five and a half million USD, it doubles as a useful and expendable peacetime training aide, with a large and very noticeable incentive for crews who miss.

The Juggernaut has now been made available for export by Zivka Aerospace by permission of the Ministry of Defense. Due to Rosdivani armament export laws and trade protectionism, no domestic production licenses, though Zivka is more than happy to accommodate requests for an inventory maintenance contract. Please also indicate whether you will be chartering your own shipping or will be reliant upon Zivka to arrange shipping through Rosdivani companies. Please be aware that this will incur a ten percent surcharge to the order.

We'll take 25 for the finale fireworks of the upcoming Magistrate's Address Ceremonial Dinner. We believe metal oxides in place of explosives and a timed fuse should quite easily acheive such an aim.

Total Cost: $137,500,000

We look forward to confirmation of this order.

OOC: Gonna make some sweet fireworks.
The NCLI Corporation
29-10-2007, 22:09
We would like to order 550 of these new missiles. Please ship to these locations:

75 to the Central HQ
25 to Our "Orbital Defense Platform Research & Development Institute".
100 to the Northern Defense Platform
100 to the Eastern Defense Platform
100 to the Western Defense Platform
100 to the Southern Defense Platform
150 to Our temporary Base of Operations near the Holy Empire of DoubleWideville.

Total cost: 3.025.000.000 USD.

Will you accept part of the payment in enriched uranium, of which we have a surplus, or would you prefer cash?

There will be an additional payment of 100.000.000 USD if the 150 missiles are delivered to the DoubleWideville border within 24 hours.

OOC: Didn't have time to pose this question on draftroom, but I assume the vector of the velocity is where ever the nose is pointed, if so, the 1394m/sec is the speed of the missile as it follows it's projectile path, which is longer then the straight line point a to point b path.

So the distance travled by the missile is the distance to target, plus the height it has to climb, so it should take more then 3 minutes for the missile to reach the target.

Thank you for your order of the Juggernaut siege rocket. Although the cost for the five thousand missiles you ordered is only 27,500,000,000 USD, an additional fee of 10% must be levied to arrange for Rosdivani merchant shipping of the weapons. Additionally, a 5% penalty is being charged due to your failure to price your own order and clearly indicate your preferred method of shipping. This brings your total bill to 31,625,000,000 USD.

Thank you for your order of the Juggernaut missile. Though we would ordinarily charge you an additional fee for failing to specify shipping information, we have decided to waive this in exchange for video of the firework modified Juggernauts for use in marketing promotion and the general enjoyment of the design team.

Total bill: 137,500,000 USD

As the NCLI Corporation has shown itself to recklessly threaten international peace, grossly misrepresent the capabilities of the Juggernaut and so bring our company's name into disrepute, and to threaten with a weapon that they do not have, as well as show a complete lack of knowledge regarding the length of transit for these weapons, we have no choice but to deny your order request.

In that case we shall cut our order in half, 10,000 rockets, and we will ship them ourselves back home. We fail to see how we did not caluculate our order correctly for no where in your sales pitch was the price of shipping mentioned. Therefore we only see this as adding an additional 15% Penalty for failure to explain our preferred shipping method, which is absurd and intolerable.

total we will pay

$55,000,000,000 no more
