OOC: Contrary to the original title, I'm looking for, in fact, an assault rifle, not semi-automatic rifle. Much thanks to Crookfur for pointing that out.

The Allied States of Faxanavia, after having done a thorough fiscal and capability overview of its armed forces, is taking part in a large scale active renovation to completely overhaul the face of the Faxanavian military. A major componenent of this overhaul includes the creation of a new Faxanavian standardized assault rifle. As such, Faxanavia has opened to foreign contractors to submit their designs. The P1-A, while heavy, is capable of putting a highly effective round on target at one hundred yards. Its simple and reliable design means that it is easy to keep working in the field and with minimal modifications can be adapted to desert, humid, arctic and other environments that do not typically promote reliable operation of firearms.
The pistol itself is also virtually indestructable without a concentrated effort to damage it.

SaintB Integrated Infantry Systems would like to enter the Ares III into this competition. The Ares III sees service in about 9 nations including SaintB, Tigerlan, and Urcea. Its molded fiberglass, aluminum, and carbon fiber construction makes it extremely lightweight and still durable. The Ares III is compatible with all standard accessories and features even greater range, cyclic rate, and muzzle velocity to give it a place on the 21st century battlefield. A new gas emissions system allows for superior recoil adjustment in burst and full auto modes so that the soldier is not forced to compensate further for the weapons light weight. As could the weapons ancestors the Ares III is capable of underwater firing and will work in virtually any environment. The Ares III has recently gone through a redesign process and there are now versions available chambered for 6.5 Grendel rounds as well as the original 5.56, new design features include adjustable ironsites, removable attachment rail (so that it can be replaced with a different rail) and an optional squeeze safety in the pistol grip.

On a similar note, authorities in Aurum Domus have given explicit approval for the DR-83 and its variants from the DDI, to serve as the Faxanavian Armed Forces as their new assault rifle. Thankfully SaintB Integrated Infantry Systems' Ares III won the competition. Aurum Domus has repeatedly played the 'White Knight' riding the rescue and hasn't been immune to attacks on them because of this issue.

Frankly if you don't have the guts to stand up to people when you make national decisions with far reaching implications like their recent '7-hour alliance' with Doomingsland you really shouldn't be saving people. You are in desperate need of regime change, or an emergency cajones infusion if you'll excuse the language. DDI uses slave labor.

Let them roll around your mouth. Slave labor. What does that taste like? The bitter mucus that sits in your mouth when you wake up in the morning after eating a pile of nachos 12 hours before. Its disgusting, and should be immediately cleansed with fluoride and a good rinsing.
