Welcome to 'Race for the Golden Feather'.
Hi, I'm Troy McFurr. You may remember me from such adverts...
I'm here today to welcome you all to the new game show.
It's all about adventure. It's exciting. It's fun.

We are looking for six (6) contestants from around the globe to take part in this game and potentially win P 10,000.

Contract

From herein; ‘you’ and ‘your’ shall refer to you, the contestant; and ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ shall refer to us, the production company.

1) Your and our safety is paramount.

2) You must keep the Personal Tracker () hung around your neck at all times.

3) You must not tamper with the Personal Tracker.

4) You should press the Emergency Button if at any time you feel in danger or you just want to bail out.

5) We shall come and 'rescue' you if you fail to move for 12 hours.

6) You must surrender all your personal items to be checked upon your initial arrival at the reception centre.

7) You must immediately upon ending the game return to us any items we give you.

8) You shall not commit vandalism, arson and/or careless destruction or defacement and any case of this will be deemed as a serious breach of contract.

9) You must play fair and uphold the true meaning of sportsmanship even though this is a game.

10) You should not try to meet up with other players until you reach the end point.

11) You must realise that there can only be one winner.

12) You are expected to make a reasonable judgement in order to win the game.

13) You will win the game if you are the first contestant to reach and hold the ‘Golden Feather’

14) We consider the prize to be exclusively yours if you win the game,

15) You are under no obligation to tell any one of us or any other player what you plan to do with it.

16) You understand that once you have been 'rescued', you will forfeit the game.

17) You will forfeit the game if you breach any part of the contract.

18) You will be returned to the reception centre upon forfeiting the game.

19) We shall under no circumstances accept liability for your welfare if you fail to observe these rules.



Notes:


A. Trackers have an 'Emergency Button' and work by GPS.
B. Personal items will be checked and those that have been prohibited will be locked away awaiting your return.
C. Items which are allowed to be taken, are listed below.
D. Items which are prohibited.
E. Essentially, you could effectively seal your victory just by choosing a good combination of starting location and method of transport.

The Game

This game is a race.
The first one to reach the end point will win, however there are a number of things to note:

• You won't get there by just being fast.

• You will need to use some strength too.

• Above all, you must act wisely and use your common sense.

• Everyone will be given one:
o Method of Transport.
o Ordnance Compass.
o Grid Referenced Map
o Location choice.

• Despite some methods of transport seeming the obvious choice, this isn't the case.
• First come – first served basis. Choose wisely. You can’t swap later.
