To The Stars! Firehelper FT intro ((open, read info below))
Info: This is an Intro rp for my FT parallel. It is open and your ships may appear in the system desicribed in the next three pages or it may emerge in an older colony (if in this case i will permit several lightly armed military vessels mistaking my planet as a hostile force, but i do not want a full war) The main purpose of this thread is to establish basic ties and begin firehelper in an FT setting

((I decided that logging into Waterhelper all the time was too time consuming so now I will (re)make firehelper have a FT timeline also This is in no way related to MT firehelper also FT in my definition is a nation that has achieved FTL ability))
The Nation of Firehelper was centered around a fairly remote system on the outer edge of the galaxy In this relatively secure area the Firehelper civilization was allowed to develop. It developed much like the major planet known as earth in many ways. It had many wars, diverse people groups, achievements, and other events. However, an accomplishment achieved not even by earth (with its numerous FT nations based there) was accomplished, the unification of the planet into one entity in a peaceful manner. Soon after this the people of the planet worked to better their planet achieving a near average distribution of resources throughout the planet.
Soon however, this was not enough to sustain the rapidly growing population. A mission to the next planet out, a second habitable planet was postponed until this point. Now the old technologies developed at the advent of the space program was finally developed and several years later at the space station known as Exploration a functioning nuclear rocket was constructed and loaded with 1,000 people. These people were launched out into space to the planet and thus started a new chapter in Firehelper's history. Now people were no longer confined to one planet and economical technologies to trade between the planets were developed.
[100 hundred years later]
Both planets had developed significantly employing numerous solar satellites to power the people on the planets and having mass driver installations on the planets and moons. Trade blossomed as materials were harvested from the asteroid belt and towed into factory stations orbiting the planets. There were now also numerous space colonies each holding 10-20,000 people in orbit above the planets. Many of the other planets and moons also had major colonies or outposts on them as the civilization continued to expand. However, what many truly wanted was to expand beyond the confines of the system and into the galaxy, but the technology was not yet developed. Such a scheme was approved and sleeper ships moving at 14% of the speed of light with an advanced nuclear powered drive entered the system with the nearest habitable planet establishing the first extra-solar colony. There were several more colonization fleets establishing colonies with STL drives. However, real colonization could not take place without the development of the FTL drive.
[10 more years later]
Eight years ago the scientist named A'lec Faday descovered by accident the secret to building a drive that could warp space (you know star trek thing "warp" dive) and accelerate itself past the speed of light without actually crossing the c threshold. While research was being conducted to create other more efficient drives that used the recently discovered "subspace" to travel quickly over great distances the only current avalable FTL technology was the Warp Drive. Now the government designed a ship using the dive but waited until an adequate speed was reached to build it. Thirty years later several ships of the class were build. The class of ships were known as Wind Class ships after the method of propulsion used by the first explorers on the planet.
There were ten ships in the fleet, three contained colonists, two were scientific, and the other five provided protection. The fleet soon assembled into formation and began to launch themselves to the nearest non colonized habitable planet, a planet named Praxis in the system designated SG214.

The ships dropped out of warp and launched several cylinders at the planet. These cylinders dropped though the atmosphere and slowed down as they reached their landing areas. From there a silvery grey "liquid" emerged. This liquid was actually billions or trillions of nanobots. These robots used the materials around them to construct the first cities on the planet. Soon the colonists arrived and began to settle in. However, this planet would be different from the others as it would be the first first contact of the firehelper nation with an alien civilization. . .

OOC: I would like a small number of ships to emerge and enter the system, preferably peaceful and exploring rather than a small combat fleet (I dislike getting conquered on my first RP).

OOC: Hey, it's been awhile since I been on and rp'ed, but I think this is a good place to get back in the game. Just go a little easy on me until I get used to rp'ing... Again. Also, this isn't an invasion fleet.

IC: The Battlecruiser (http://www.shipschematics.net/bsg/images/colonial/battlestar_galactica.jpg) entered the system in a flash of light near the planet known to the Firehelper's as "SG214," but was also known as "Border Planet 621" or "BP621" to Green Hawk. Nearly a single jump away from the Green Hawk border with basic FTL technology; it could be guessed that Green Hawk would want to know why any visitors would get this close to Green Hawk's border. Thus the Battlecruiser Setting Sun was sent to greet their new guest and maybe even ask what they were doing this close. Inside the ship the Commander prepared to greet their new neighbor.

"Number of targets?" The Commander asked.

"Unknown, but not very high. Seems to be around ten targets and they seem to be deploying something on the planet." An office said from some where in the CIC.

The Commander turned from the sensor screen which hanged in the middle of the CIC, high above everyone in the control center, towards the comms officer.

"Send our identification, then send them a hostile identification request and put their answer on speaker," the Commander said. The comms officer nodded before turning the headset on his head, which is quite bulky, on.

"This is the Green Hawk warship, Battlecruiser Setting Sun. Identify yourself or we will open fire." The Commander as well as everyone else in the CIC waited for a response.

((I don't RP all that much so oyu will have to forgive my poor quality))
The admiral in charge of the military component of the expedition was quickly informed of the flash of light that appeared at the edge of system along with the thermal signature of what appeared to be a ship. He and all othe other sailors on bord the ship knew that if it was a hostile vessel it would be highly unlikely that any combat engagement would be successful. Still the admiral ordered the ships to proceed into a combat formation and head for the light/ ship. The message (on subspace I assume) was never revieced as the people had not yet achieved subspace communications technology and sent a message of their own saying "We come from the Empire of firehelper and request the reasons that you are in this system." It was unlikely that the other vessel would be able to decode the foreign transmission signal and even if they did it would be unlikely that they would be able to understand a language unknown to them. Still the people on the vessels hoped that the other ship was friendly or at least peaceful and that their message would be received before misunderstandings arose and combat broke out.

Admiral of the Fleet Sor stood on the bridge of his Battleship, the Order. Just a few moments away was the system LX-84, a system relatively close to the Cholk system, a system owned by Xiscapia. They were seeking to establish more colonies. Behind him was two destroyers, the Starfire and the Inescapeable, one Carrier, the Xeno, one Medical Ship, the Gem, and four Cruisers, the Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. Klaxons blared and the fleet entered the system. "Sir," said one of the Bridge Officers, "We have a unknown ship in-system, and sensors show activity on the ground seperate from the unknown ship." "Send the standered message to each." commanded Sor.
Greetings, we are the Xiscapians on a peaceful exploritoy mission into this system. Please tell your origins and intents. Repeat, we are a peaceful exploritory fleet.
The Xiscapians are humanoid, and, at first glance, look human. This is not the case. Though they resemble humans in nearly every way, they have fox tails and ears, their regular ears are pointed, they have longer and sharper canines then a human has. They also have yellow eyes, many different colors of hair, including green, purple, and blue. They are much faster and more graceful then any human could ever hope to be, and are deadly in hand-to-hand combat. They can also see in the dark. Just as a Terran would call himself or herself human, Xiscapians call themselves Kitsune. Every Xiscapian from the age of adulthood (20) has a katana sword. These are either hand forged by the person’s clan, everyone having a part in it, a forging master, or the Xiscapian themselves. Everyone, from schoolteacher to military grunt to chef carries one of these at all times. The katana’s sheath identifies the Xiscapians clan, social status, and, if in the military, rank. The katana is also used in battle.
OOC: Hope you don't mind me jumping in here. (Pun intended)

"We come from the Empire of firehelper and request the reasons that you are in this system."

The speaker relayed the message as translators went to work on understanding the message right away.

"Sir, ships are heading towards us in battle formation. Requesting instructions sir." The XO said.

"Do not engage those ships. Bring us to full combat speed and someone give me a translation of what they just said." The Commander looked towards the comms officer. Who was looking onto a computer screen.

"I'm not sure, but I think they didn't get our message."

"Send them a second one on all channels and in all languages that we know of." The comms officer gave his CO the look before getting to work sending the message, again.

"This is the Green Hawk warship, Battlecruiser Setting Sun. Identify yourself or we will open fire." This time the message went on all channels with every language Green Hawk knew of.


OOC: I use light FT tech. That means that I don't have warp drive, lasers, ray guns, shields, or subspace, etc. Just radios and realistic tech like guns, nuclear reactors, etc.

This time the ship recieved the message. However, lacking an adiquate translation computer were unable to decode the message. Still the admiral decided (Im also no good at dialouge) to keep the ships a fair distance away as a non hostile gesture. The ships send out one small shuttle with a robotic unit on board capable of representing the Firehelper nation without risking life. The shuttle activated its fusion engine and rapidly accelerated toward the enemy ship. Soon the shuttle would arrive and the people would see weather the other ship would let it enter their ship and begin to learn to translate and begin a dialog between the two ships.
((you know until I have some form of a universal translator I wont be able to know your language with a few lines....))
The ships were unable to recive the message sent from the distance of several light years away without subspace communications equiptment

The comm officer on Order frowned. "The ship seems to be attempting to comminicate with us. I caught a snatch of something that sounded like Basic, but it went back into incomprehensible gibberish." The Fleet stopped just outside on entering the orbit of the planet. "Try another message, all channels and languages that we know of."
The message was repeated again in Basic, Xiscapian, Common, North Calaveran, English, Rodian, Angolish, Korr, binary, Avalan, and Templarian on all comm channels, voxs, and even ancient radio transmissions.
OOC: I'll need to go very soon.

"One raider coming in. Bearing 22-234-02." The sensor officer informed the Commander.

"They might not have understood our message." The CO turned towards the XO, "what do you think?"

"I have only one thing to say as the XO of this ship. Shit." Everyone on the CIC, expect for the CO and XO, chuckled at the light humor. Not a single person on the ship has ever met aliens before. This was a big first for everyone.

"It's most likely a delegate or something, but if you detect any form of radiation like a nuke coming from that ship, open fire. Otherwise let the ship inside the starboard hanger bay where a group of marines will greet our guest. Bring the ship to alert level two while your at it." Everyone in the CIC who had a purpose set to work right away to carry out their CO's orders with determination to get the job done right the first time. The CO also ordered the launch of several fighters to escort their guest into the hanger as well.

"XO has the CIC." The CO made his way towards the hanger deck as well with the marines to act as Green Hawk's delegate.

((well it was directed at green over tehre but ok.. Ill go with the fact that Im also trying to communicate with you))
The ships recieved the message this time however, again they were unable to decipher the foreign language. In hopes that the other ship had some form of translating equipment they sent the message "We are the Empire of Firehelper, have have come to peacefully colonize this system. If you wish to open relations with us please send one ship down to the colony we have established down on the planet and our governor will attempt to open relations with your nation in lieu of out formal government"

The robot steped out in all its mechanical beauty (or ugliness). It had a roughly humanoid shape and proceeded to approach the waiting marines with guns. (yes stupid robot) It proceeded to point to itself and say "I am X-T42" in an attempt to start a conversation and thereby alalyse the context and sytax of the other language and also build up a vocabulary in order to form more complex sentences in the other language.

The CO entered the hanger around the time the robot got off it's shuttle and spoke. What the heck? The CO thought to himself.

"Okay, nice to meet you too Mr. Robot. What can I do for you?" The CO tried to understand the robot thing, but failed. After a while of failures the CO ordered a techie to come over and after a while of the techie looking around inside the robot the techie told the CO his results.

"It seems to record and do it's best to understand other languages for it's owners so that they can understand other languages. I think." The techie said impressed with himself since he discovered that within minutes without harming the robot.

"Thats it? Okay... Here we go, 'A,' 'B,' 'C', 'D,'" the CO went on and on saying the entire Green Hawk alphabet and even saying things like, "Sam was a fat cat who wore a hat." He even added some curses for good measure. After about ten minutes of non-stop talk the Co finished with.

"Good enough Mr. Robo?"

OOC: That cat thing was a sentence my teacher made me read when I was younger so I could speak english better or at least that's what I remember. lol

The robot stood silently as it analyzed the syntax and constructed a vocabulary. eventually it was able to have enough of an understanding to speak in the most basic form of the language. It began with saying, "MY designation is X-T42 automated translation robot. I have obtained enough information to speek in your language. My masters would like to meet with you on the planet should you agree to send a representative. We wish to resolve this situation peacefully and also have a chance to establish diplomatic relations with your nation. Our masters wait your answer and I can send a responce back as soon as you accept or reject our invitation. Should you reject it I am also programed with some basic responses to attempt to answer any questions you may have." The robat awaited a answer

The comm officer shook his head. "More gibberish." Sor sighed. "Looks like we'll have to send an envoy. Send a shuttle with our resident diplomat with a translator."
A gleaming white shuttle departed the ship, headed for the planets surface. Unlike the gray, bulky combat shuttles, this was a small, white thing of beauty. Inside was the pilot, the diplomat, and two Marines to act as guards. The shuttle landed carefully near to what looked like it might be a base of some kind. The diplomat and guard stepped out and waited to be recieved.

The governer greeted the first guests to arrive. They were of a foreign build with tails and pointed ears. Still the governer greeted them eager to coduct the first first contact with aliens in Firehelper's history. He stepped up to them with a translator robot and began to elad them to the conference hall

The ambassador followed, his yellow eyes gazing around at the planet. The Marines, covered by their red/purpleish armor and helmets, had stuck their rifles to their back and tried not to look scary. The ambassador wore dark purple and black robes, with a blue katana sword at his waist.

The governer showed the ambassador into a conference room as soon as they were seated he signaled the ambasador to begin talking to allow the translator robot enough information to convert the languages used there.

The ambassador took out a headpiece from his robes and fitted it over his head, more like a nearly complete helmet. This helped the translation process go smoother, and soon he cold understand what was being said. He still, though, could not speak in a language that is understood. He indicated that the govenor should put it on, and made motions saying it would not hurt him, then pointed to his own and the govenor's mouth in turn, indicating talking. He held the helmet-like device out. The two Marines stood silently behind the chair.

The governer put the device on. Soon he began to understand the talking of the other ambassador. The governor than began to talk as indacated

Finally the translations were complete. The ambassador spoke. "Remove the headset, as we may speak clearly now. My name is Som. I am here to establish diplomatic negotations with you." While the governer heard the Xiscapian speaking in his language, the governer would be heard by him speaking in Xiscapian. Neither actually knew the other's language- Not fully, anyway. The translators were the huge help in situations like this.

The governer removed the headset before speaking. He could only assume that the technology analyzed the brain's language center and temporarily imputed the necessary information to translate the other person's language. The governer shook his head after all such things were better left to engineers
The governor than began talking.
"This technology of yours is impressive but that is something for later discussion. We are here to facilitate the start of relations and hopefully trade between our two respective nations. We hope to establish good relations with our immediate neighbors so that the peace of our colony can be maintained." He waited for the other's responce

The ambassador raised his eyebrows and flicked his tail. "You can get from this system to ours in a single hyperspace jump. We originally were going to colonize this system, but obviously you have beaten us to that. Tell me now: What do you know of the Universe? Do you have enemies? Allies? What are your morals?"

The governor shook his head "We are new in interstellar space. We have only recently developed the technology to travel to stars in any reasonable amount of time and the time nescesary even for these shot trips is long.
Hyperspace, would that be the new drive our researchers are currently developing. If I remember right it launches a ship into the space we call 'subspace' and thus allows it to avoid the normal laws of physics, correct?"

"Well, in layman's terms, it's simply this: A alternate region of space co-existing with our own universe which may be entered using an energy field (i.e. a hyperdrive). A "route" so to speak, is scouted out by ships and established in a string of coordinates. That was sometime ago, though, and now we just need to put in a string of coordinates and end up in the right place. Naturally, they have to be percise, otherwise you may end up inside a star or black hole or something. The lower the hyperdrive number, the faster the ship. For example, our fighters are a "class 1" meaning that they can go faster than, say, a civilian freighter, which would be a class 4. The fastest is classified, but I imagin it's well below a 1. There's many alternatives, of course: Slipspace, anit-accelerator drives, wormholes, and there is some rumors of an "Infinite Improbibility Drive", but I doubt it would actually work. What method do you use? Warp Speed?"

"Well warp drive from what I gather is a drive that is able to operate in normal space. However, is is slower and more efficient than the alternate space drive units or so it is theoretically. In basic principle it creates a bubble of normal space almost separated from normal space. The space is connected to normal space with some minor subspace manipulation. Thus the ship is able to move though space at speeds faster than c in normal space. The primary disadvantage to this unit is its speed but theoretical computers say that the hyperdive is more power intensive. From what the military officials are saying there might be a tactical advantage to the warp drive but thats just rumor." While talking the governor pulled out a list of resource production time tables along with the estimated time for the creation of various objects.
"While FTL technology got us here now we need to build. We use nanobots to construct all building atom by atom. The building we are in now was created just a few hours ago to a predetermined specification. I think that this is the pinnicle of our science and it is one of our specialties."

"It very well may be. Aside from our A.I. systems, which are quite good, our droids leave much to be desired. They're not bad, per se, just not as good as many others out there. Are there other habitable planets in this system? If there are and you are willing to share, we can protect you."

"There is plenty of room to share the planet. We wont fully develop this planet for another 100 years so you can come it. It would be nice for our relations and it can begin the trade between our two respective nations" said the governor

The ambassador's somewhat grim face split into a grin. "Excellent! We shall begin right away. On our planets, we keep industrialism to a minimual. We have roughly 10 cities per planet, but of course this is co-owned. How will it be divided? North and South? Or East and West?"
OOC: Can I get a map of the planet's surface? Or a detailed description? Xiscapians prefer cooler, rainy or snowy climates, with lot's of rivers and forests.

It will be divided north to south. For us pollution is a relatively little problem. With the introduction of solar satellites, Also with the use of nanobots efficient systems of reducing pollution have been made. We would be willing to share some of these technologies for use of the planet if you would like.

"Well, why not? I'll have my XO get a Raptor ready for us right now," the CO stated as everyone else in the hangar gave him a look. Weren't they suppose to call this in? Sure, any battle would be in their favor, but still... These thoughts of the crew were soon put aside as the CO boarded a Raptor and ordered for several Marines to come abroad as well as a techie who brought the robot. Within one hour they were off into space heading towards the planet. The CO looked out though the front glass cockpit and watched the Setting Sun get further and further away. He caught a nap as he heard rumbling and felt the vibrations as the bulky craft entered the planet's gravity field and landed near a, from what they could tell, base.

OOC: I'll come across this one as my ships can detect all the other vessels

A small part of space rippled slightly as the warships appeared through warp and arrived in the system. The ships of the Alversian People's Navy were on a mission of discovery and exploration, trying to expand the horizons of Alversia to beyond the current boundries.

What the Battlecruiser (http://members.fortunecity.com/sfc2auxspacedock/kceaftersmall.jpg) APS Freedom Forest and the cruiser (http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/thumb/6/6f/Consular-class_Space_Cruiser.JPG/250px-Consular-class_Space_Cruiser.JPG) APS Determination had locked onto were the power signatures of the Xiscapian battleship and now they were heading in to investigate

Aboard the Freedom Forest, Captain Reid paced up and down and kept looking at his watch and then the screen as he waited. The suddenly he called
"That's enough, Ensign. Bring us out of warp"

"Yes, Sir" the woman sitting in front of him confirmed as she typed on various buttons. The Freedom Forest slowed down until she was travelling at a more normal speed, the Determination also slowing down so as to remain on the bigger ship's port bow. Reid walked up and onto his bridge before turned to one of the other consoles.

"Hail the planet" he ordered the nearby Ensign

"Yes, Sir" The man pressed a button and instantly a message was beamed down to the surface

The CO was shown into the conference room where the other to factions waited. The Translator droid translated the greetings of the governor as he motioned for them to sit down.
To unknown vessel (Alversia):
Your request has been accepted please send down one shuttle to the corrodnates following this message where you will be shown into a conference with the other races here.

((To any reading: This is open and if you wish to join you may either stumble across this colony or an older one, an older one is reccomended as this colony is getting crowded))

"for the nanobots a more though negotiation will have to take place as they are our most sophisticated technology and thus our only edge against would be attackers." the governor nodded to his guard who came forward with a tablet comupter and handed it to the other delagate. Enclosed in this computer is the location of our capital planet. It also contains the code needed for a one time peaceful entry for the next four months. Should you wish to continue negotiations for this technology please send a single ship to the designated system. However, if you wish we can help contstuct infrastructure and buildings such as solar satellites for your use in return for subspace communications technology should you have it. We are sevearly limited in our communications as our fastest messengers our our probes and even those are slow."

"Our messages are sent by comm transmission, and, while there are faster ones, it's must faster than any physical object. Your help would be greatly apprechiated and in return we will give you some comm systems, as well as manuels to build your own."
System...
Ships began to appear. Cargo ships, transports, haulers, civilian small craft, and probes poured into the system. They made their way down to the surface, where they would begin the construction of the colony on the North side of the planet.
Undisclosed Location...
A shuttle, specially modified to take hyperspace jumps, appears in system and broadcasts the code. It was here with a diplomat to continue negotations for the nano technology.

One of the orbiting ships launched a canister at each of the cities being built by Xiscapia. These canesters contained the nanobots. These nanobots were able to take Xiscapian voice and visual commands in order to help with the colony.

[Home system]
the small, unidentified ship was quickly latched on too and dragged into a jump gate. The jump gate created a small warp displacement around the ship as it passed through a series of rings. This eliminated the need for slow impulse systems and large warp drives for travel in system. The ship was taken to the most developed planet in the system, a planet quickly becoming a city planet. The shuttle was told to depart and land at a set of coordinates.

The workers and droids landed and got to work. Areas were cleared out and made into huge patchs of dirt. The nanobots, using raw materials brought in cargo ships and haulers, began to construct buildings. Xiscapian cities have few skyscrapers, the fox-like people preferring to build closer to, and under, the ground. (OOC: Does the planet have a name?)
Home system...
The shuttle landed at the designated coordinates. A ambassador, female this time with long blue hair, stepped off, escorted by two Black Guards.

OOC: Has my arrival been ignored?

The ambassador was greeted by several marines that took her to one of the higher towers in the large city that she landed in. In the tower was the old government meeting area. It had lain in dis use for several decades and was only recently cleaned by nanobots. In side were several government officials including the ruler of the country.

The ambassador bowed low. "Greetings. I am Itcygo, an ambassador for Xiscapia, here to negotiate the trade of nanobot technology." She wore black and dark purple robes of Xiscapian diplomats loosely over her lithe young body.

The emperor ordered a translator droid brought in. As the ambassador spoke in an unknown language.

A small, crescent shaped ship, drifted through the darkness.
"SHN Aurora, we're picking up a few signals a few jumps away. Permission to engage?" "Rodger Aurora, your clear for jumps." The pilot flipped a few switches, then a bright blue swirl opened in front of it. The ship flew in, heading for the signals.

The miltary vessels now returned to a normal patrolling over the planet quickly detected the unknown ship. Its hostile intent was quickly evident by its thermal signature and the military vessels likewise powered up their weapons. and headed for the unknown ship with a radio message saying "unidentified ship power down your weapons and prepare to be towed to a secure area falure to comply to the first statement will result in actions against your ship and failure to comply to the second statement will result in the in ability of your ambassador to land on the surface if that is what you seek"

To Green Hawk
The CO was shown into the conference room where the other to factions waited. The Translator droid translated the greetings of the governor as he motioned for them to sit down.


The CO sat down as a Marine stood guard and the techie just looked around the room, marveled at it's strangeness. The CO eyeed the "aliens," taking in every detail and hoping they were good "aliens" and not bad ones.

"So, lets get this ball rolling. I'm Commander John Tucker, Commanding Officer of the Setting Sun. I shall represent the Allied Planets of Green Hawk in this meeting. And you are?"

The translator droid, which had alrady uploaded its new knowledge into the ligustic database translated for the govenor while the other translated for the Xiscapian representative. The governor replied to his question saying "Greetings, I am the govenor of this yet unnamed planet and represent the Firehelper InterPlanetary Empire (or something like that)."

The ship emerged from warp to be confronted by a group of military vessels. The Warp Hole closed behind the ship and the Aurora stood it's distance.
"Steady... Power up Arrakis, power down the weapons." The co-pilot flicked a few switches and pulled a level. As the weapons powered down, a green transparent Terran male appeared.
"Hello, sahs. What is my duty today?"
"Scan those ships over there. Mark their position and relay a message to the Sixth House."

The void templar ship was approached by one of the ships the other two broke off and resumed their patrol. The closer ship to the unknown ship sent a short message saying "Please state your intentions in this system."

"Recon and report for the Sixth House. We've never seen this area of space before. I suppose I'm an ambassador... Well, Arrakis is." The green AI appeared on screen and bowed.
"Greetings, unknown life forms. On behalf of the Void and especially of the Sixth House, may we proffer our hand in greeting and in the hope of a future friendship. My designation is Arrakis, AI model J117 of the Sixth House of Sithis."

The Firehlper ship replied in return "If you wish you may transmitt the AI to the base. We are willing to open relations with any and all races that seek it. Currently there are two other races already on the surface. You may join if you wish"

Itcygo finished finally with "And that is what happened." She had been telling a rather long ancient Xiscapian folktale, frought with battles and love-making and dialoge so as to get in as many aspects of the language as possible.

The Xiscapian ambassador bowed to the Green Hawk representative. "Greetings. I am Som, ambassador for the 2ed Exploritory Fleet, representative of the Xiscapian Empire."

Soon the language robot signaled the ambassador to stop his long and droning narrative when he received enough information. With that the emperor began talking. As I understand you wish to trade for our nanotechnology. Unfortunately it is also one of the highest held secrets of our nation. Still not to disapoint you we will be able to spare some of our older out dated models. While they are inferior to the ones we currently use we believe that you will quickly be able to improve on the design. Still we must know what you would be willing to trade for this technology.

OOC: The ambassador is a female.
IC: "We are willing to trade anything on non-military technology, and we will npt trade hyperdrive technology. However, we are willing to trade many things: engines, (outdated) A.I., life support, medicine, silk, (small) energy crystals, foodstuffs, cloning technology, and we make some of the best katana swords in this galaxy. Name your trade."

The Xiscapian ambassador bowed to the Green Hawk representative. "Greetings. I am Som, ambassador for the 2ed Exploritory Fleet, representative of the Xiscapian Empire."

"Well, right now the sharing of this planet and general system is under debate." Som leaned back in his chair. As far as he knew, he was the only sentient non-human, aside from the rest of the fleet in orbit over the planet, in the system. The govenor seemed likeable enough, and well trained to speak for his people. This "John Tuckler" was an unknown variable. The ambassador had never known that two seperate empires lived so close to Xiscapia's boarders, a single hyperspace jump away. "So you are a military man, you kill aliens. What kind of aliens?"

John smiled, "the bad ones and sometimes I kill the ugly ones. Depends on how ugly they are though. How about you? Where are you from? Green Hawk has heard of an empire being close by, but I never believed the stories. Anything I should know before we start these negotiations?" John wondered if these guys would really share the planet, before he remembered that this planet was way too close to Green Hawk.

"One last thing. While my superiors will handle the details Green Hawk will want some type of military base here, most likely in orbit of the planet or in orbit of a nearby moon. Of course civilian sites, like trade centers can be built here for trade or anything else you can think of," he turned towards the Firehelpers, "congratulations on finding this planet because if these talks go right you will control all the trade between all three of our empires."

A small part of space rippled slightly as the warships appeared through warp and arrived in the system. The ships of the Alversian People's Navy were on a mission of discovery and exploration, trying to expand the horizons of Alversia to beyond the current boundries.

What the Battlecruiser (http://members.fortunecity.com/sfc2auxspacedock/kceaftersmall.jpg) APS Freedom Forest and the cruiser (http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/thumb/6/6f/Consular-class_Space_Cruiser.JPG/250px-Consular-class_Space_Cruiser.JPG) APS Determination had locked onto were the power signatures of the Xiscapian battleship and now they were heading in to investigate

Aboard the Freedom Forest, Captain Reid paced up and down and kept looking at his watch and then the screen as he waited. The suddenly he called
"That's enough, Ensign. Bring us out of warp"

"Yes, Sir" the woman sitting in front of him confirmed as she typed on various buttons. The Freedom Forest slowed down until she was travelling at a more normal speed, the Determination also slowing down so as to remain on the bigger ship's port bow. Reid walked up and onto his bridge before turned to one of the other consoles.

"Hail the planet" he ordered the nearby Ensign

"Yes, Sir" The man pressed a button and instantly a message was beamed down to the surface

Your request has been approves. When you arrive you should brodcast the code contained in this message and send a shuttle down to the coordinates embedded in the message.

The Arrakis AI was projected from one of the dozen holo projectors scattered throughout the room. The governor turned to his and said to him Welcome to this planet. You are free to partisipate in the current discussion if you wish. We also might be having another ambassador come soon according to recent reports.

The Freedom Forest recieved the message and instantly began to prepare a team to land on the surface. Captain Reid was preparing to go as was his security chief Lt. Commander Ashe. They would joined by a team of Marines with them.

The crew boarded the shuttle and headed for the surface, broadcasting the code and aiming for the co-ordinates given. They were unsure of what kind of welcome to recieve but they were readt for the worst should it come to that.

Aboard the Freedom Forest, Lt. Commander Davis, the 1st Officer, was left in command of the two warships as the landing party prepared to meet this new people for the 1st time.

As the ships arrived they were greated by several armed soldiers. These soldiers, while usless if the ships were actually hostile, were there for a ceremonial function. Soon the ships touched down and the people that emerged were led to an awaiting car.

The Alversian team allowedthemselves to be lead to the car, keeping in contact with the warships at all times. Meanwhile in space, the two warships began to scan the surrounding vessels in an effort to locate any weaponry which cause a threat to their position in space. Fortuneatly, they found little the Battlecruiser couldn't deal with and so relaxed, allowing the team on the surface to do the busy work from now on.

"We are willing to trade the (now defunct) 5th Naval Ground Assault Force. Nothing that outdated, Decimators-class mainly. They are good Assault and Transport Ships, armed enough to be of use in a firefight but fast enough to transport troops to the front. There are around 50 ships in that group, not counting anything less that Corvette-class.

"Medicine in Firehelper might not be as good as yours. Would you happen to have a list of medical technologies that you are willing to trade along with their descriptions?"
After a minute or so the ambassador hands the speaker a datapad.

Medically Related Trade Items:
Antibiotics: Used in destroying bacterial originated diseases and infections.
94-RL Medic Droid: A highly specilized droid capable of treating most wounds and diseases.
Cloning technology: Can, with the correct DNA and cells, grow limbs, ears, eyes, noses, and other such body parts to replace parts which had to be aputated or were blown off.
Cyborg technology: Simular usage to the technology mentioned above, cyborg technology can also enhance, replace, or repair physical parts of an organism.
Cyro-freeze: Allows biological entites to be stored indefinitly, perfectly preserved, in a special kind of freezer. Can store living material and revive it with a success period of about 96 hours.

"At the moment a generalized type of nanobots will do. In time we will figure out how to mass produce and specalized these little machines. The cyborg technology you will recieve will be rather bare, fitted for biological medical use only. I'm sure you can calibrate it for your needs. How many units and where do you want this technology?"

The emperor answered "Well I was hoping for a blue print of some sort of blueprint to mass produce these units but Im sure once we finish the research of our own technolgies with the help of the ones I hope to aquire such a supplier wont be needed any more. 2,000 units of the cyborg technologies sounds good."

The ambassador nodded. "2,000 units of cyborg technology, and blue prints on how to build cyro-freeze units and cloning vats. In return you shall give us nanobot technology. The newly colonized planet, it seems, will be a good exchange place. What think you, Honored President?"

"Well I'll make sure to tell my people right away," John turned towards the Firehelper, "now is there anything you want to trade for from Green Hawk or do you want to know something about us?"

She bowed once more and strode out. Once outside she confirmed the success of the transaction and her shuttle transported her home.

Four cargo ships full of blueprints and parts land and exchange them for nanobot technology. Construction is going well, Xiscapian civilians are being transported in now to begin living their lives on the new planet.
