The revival [Open to all, att. New True Cross]

The Secular Resistance
23-10-2007, 01:52
OOC:New True Cross: This is shinbeth (the one from the 'military academy' thread). I restored my old original nation, so I'll not be using the new one anymore. Consider this one the same. The story involving your nation is the last headline-name. All: I'm sorry in advance for any spelling or grammar mistakes. I'm a Hebrew speaker, not English.

Julius 'Cap' Wein

A quick calculation would reveal that more than a quarter of his life, Julius has been living, sleeping, eating and doing his morning exercise on board The Scotia, while sailing pointlessly around the world.

Sure, he was alive and kicking when the late Allen Van-Dijk, executed leader of the Secular Resistance and a character greatly admired by Julius, claimed responsibility for the death of thousands across this damned world. Sure, he made his first kill in the age of 17, as he shot a Euroslavian soldier to death while trying to cross the border into the nation (he was one of the two who survived the shootout and came back to tell about it)... But somehthing was missing in his life.

He grew up to believe a revolution was soon to come, but today, in his late 60's, he is one of the most bitter commanders of the organization. Perhaps that is the reason for his latest promotion to the second highest rank, serving under the mysterious Commander U. There was another reason: More events took place in the last two weeks than in the recent years, and Commander U needed someone a bit less edgy than his last deputy (who shot himself between the mountains in Cripistan, after realizing an order he issued resulted in a massacre).

Fuck. I forgot to feed the cat this morning.

Julius was heading back to his chamber as he encountered Ureen running towards the communication room. The man could hardly breathe steadily, but he didn't take his time and detailed the latest news with excitement.

"You'll never believe this." Ureen exhaled and took some air as he explained to Julius. "Two weeks ago we had nothing. Today we have men in Cripistan, Allanea and the NTC."

"We have one man in the NTC, three people on their way to Allanea, and our people in Cripistan are caught in a conflict quickly escalating to a full scale war."

"That's still a great deal considering the events of the last few years." Ureen turned away from Julius to run, and after several meters he gave up and walked the remaining 30 meters to the communication room.

Ureen 'Green' Richter

Unlike Julius, or unlike most of the organization members, for that matter, Ureen wasn't a veteran of the Van-Dijk age (also referred to as the 'Resistance Age'), but he was the only one of those outsiders who made it to the highest ranks. As a logistical advisor in the organization's 'Operation Council', Ureen's job is mainly to insert operatives into as many nations as he can. He commands document-forgery experts, cargo ship captains and ground support personnel, in order to accomplish one of the simplest and most obvious actions one may want to do: Entering a foreign nation.

He planned Ben Orling's infiltration to the NTC, but he now needed to plan Ben's actual mission, and more importantly, how to send-in the means to execute it. He does have a man there, but he can't talk to them until they give up, that's not how the DSRO works. Standard DSRO operations usually require several basic elements: Three operatives, Few AK-47 rifles, and a lot of explosive material. Currently, this operation lacked all of those. There was another crucial problem: Ben entered the NTC announcing he'd remain there about two months, and that wasn't enough time for this operation.

Ben 'Ox' Orling

'The Ox' sometimes liked to let his muscular appearance persuade people instead of his words. The broad-shouldered and almost unbelievably tall man drew a lot of attention relatively to his occupation, and this troubled Ureen until he saw him in action. It is told that back in the Resistance Age, in close combat, Ben used to knock the guns out of his enemies' hands, swiftly grabbing them and throwing them down to the ground. Maybe this rumor is the reason Ureen sent him there without a single gun.

As he paced confidently down a street in the Fort Boston, capital of the Holy Empire of the New True Cross, surrounded by advertisements offering him a shuttle to New Medfield, he looked around and tried to find future targets for his mission. His thoughts about how beautiful the city's cathedrals are were disturbed by his cellular phone. Out of habit, Ben asked for the identity of the caller, forgetting Ureen is the only person who had the number.

"Aye, Green, you're early." He mentioned with a preaching voice. "I thought I'm supposed to sniff around for this first month."

"You are, but I just called to remind you that we are on a tight schedule, and that you should probably start thinking of ways to disappear out there."

"Don't worry for me, just get me my stuff. I'm practically castrated here."

"It's being sent as we speak. I sent one of our cargo ships to the NTC with about 20 men on board, carrying concealed explosives in their lower engine room. They'll attempt to pass the security checks, and when they do, they'll inform you. And before you ask, no, there's nothing on the ship that connects them to you, in case they get caught. And yes, Heath forged their documents. They should make it, unless the NTC is in some unknown conflict with Cripistan."

"good. Where are they?"

"They left southwards several hours ago, meaning they should be nearing the NTC coast by now."

OOC: As you can see, this is not only a part of an RP, but also a semi-factbook on the organization, which I'll try to expand with every post. It's open for everyone, not necessarily about the NTC thing.
