Several United Nations' observers were engaged by the glorious troops of The Armed Republic of Hebrew Kosher Pork after they unlawfully conducted air strikes against HKP positions in the northern village of Hamadi. Two UN aircraft engaged HKP troops during a standard sweep for insurgents.
"Two aircraft did a flyby at low altitude and engaged our ground forces with 20mm cannons. They were then fired upon by a local mobile Anti-Aircraft battery. One of the aircraft took several direct hits and crash landed nearby off the coast." stated Defense Minister Roland Blimmer. "UN ground forces nearby then engaged our anti-aircraft battery with a large caliber machine gun. We were left with no choice other than to return fire. Two UN M113 APCs were destroyed by direct fire. A surviving UN observer was captured by our forces after the skirmish. A video was processed from his built-in helmet camera and we have decided to release it to the international community. Further videos are being processed and will be made available when they are ready."
Several dozen soldiers of the 5th Mechanized Infantry Regiment were killed by subsequent air strikes. The Armed Republic of Hebrew Kosher Pork is prepared to retaliate against other UN observers in the region pending a full investigation. All UN observers within the state have been ordered to throw down their arms and disable their armoured vehicles.
