The Department of Defense
The Confederacy of Shesharlie
Shesharlie wishes to acquire rockets or missiles to advance its Space Program, which is run under the Department of Defense.
We call upon any and all nations and commercial organizations with rockets/missiles that may launch payloads of satellites and orbital station equipment into a high-altitude orbit.
The Department of Defense will grant $60 billion USD to the nation or company who proposes a design that the Sheshan National Space Program (SNSP) approves of. The SNSP will select only one design to produce. Upon selecting the design, the winning nation/company will be given the rights to build their design for the SNSP.
The SNSP has laid a few general requirements:
1. The rocket may only be launched from a static ground facility (underground silo, vertical support tower, etc.) and not be launched from an aircraft or naval vessel.
2. The rocket must be able to break the gravitational pull of the earth and travel a minimum of 40,000 kilometers above sea level
3. The rocket must carry a minimum load capacity of 30,000 kilograms for a Low Earth Orbit, and 18,000 kilograms for a Geosynchronous Orbit.
Thank you,
General Sowalskie
Secretary of Defense
Gordon Sittig
Administrator of SNSP
Being one of the most scientiffically sophisticated civilizations on this planet, we would gladly develop rockets for our ally. We will begin work whenever you wish.

The SNSP would like to see any nation/company interested to submit a design complete with specifications before awarding the contract.
If you have a design, be it in production or still on the drawing board, we will gladly review it.

Alfegos offers for testing a commonly-used rocket, the Neptune:
Introduction
As Alfgeos expanded, it looked to the stars. It needed a rocket to put up satellites into orbit, so that it would benefit from the space age.
In 1991, the Neptune rocket was designed. Its specifications were:
1) To carry the planned Fego'Toile space station (weighing 40 tonnes)
2) To be able to be launched from the ground, and not from the air, as in early experiments.
3) To be able to break the orbital pull of earth, and possibly take a payload to the moon.
Thus, the Neptune Rocket was designed.
Propulsion
The rocket had to have enough power to laucnh a heavy paylod into orbit. Such a rocket would have to use the best fuels available: "Slushy" Oxygen and Liquid Hydrogen. These would provide the immense thrust needed for a such a rocket.
The rocket is comprised of 3 stages: the first launching stage, the second booster stage and the final "delivery stage".
Each stage is discarded, to allieviate the problems of fuel-mass.
Guidance
The rocket follows a computer planned path transmitted from ground control to the rocket, and also saved onboard the rocket in case of a communication error.
This path is controlled by the use of 4 graphite vanes in the exhaust of the rocket, except in the case of the first stage, where there are many more in each thruster.
To the moon?
With the thrust provided by the rocket in its present state, it was not enoguh to allow it to reach the moon with a good payload.
Thus, 4 jettisonable booster rockets can be attached tot he sides, producing much thrust, allowing a heavier payload to be carried to the moon.
Height: 65 metres
Diameter: 5 metres
Empty Mass: 1600 tonnes
Maximum Payload to GTO:
45 000 tonnes (w/ solid fuel boosters)
52 000 tonnes (w solid fuel boosters)
Maximum Payload to Lunar Orbit:
12 000 tonnes (w/ boosters)
18 000 tonnes (w boosters)
Propulsion:
Stage 0 (optional) - 4 x Ammonium perchlorate composite propellant Rockets
Stage 1 - 6 x SH2 LOx Thrusters
Stage 2 - 3 x SH2 LOx Thrusters
Stage 3 - 1 x SH2 LOx Thruster
Developed Thrust:
Stage 0 - 5500 kN
Stage 1 - 6400 kN
Stage 2 - 3200 kN
Stage 3 - 1120 kN
