David Cavendish, President of the Federal Republic of Cassanos, sends greetings
to the world's nations.

In the name of the people of Cassanos, and authorized by the Cassanotian Parliament, we offer other nations the possibility to open an embassy in Cassanos.

The nation of Cassanos is a federally organized republic, perhaps best characterized as following a "green" policy. Civil rights and political freedoms are held most dear, and the economy, although basically capitalist, is subject to ecological surveillance.
Concerning foreign policy, Cassanos is neutral at the moment, but interested in diplomatic and economic relations to other countries, especially democracies. We are also open to alliance proposals, but wil consider them very carefully.

Mr. Huntington is welcome here, of course. Please note that Roseberg law makes an Embassy containing more than one hundred soldiers as a Security Detachment illegal, and that possession of any heavy weapon on Embassy land is also forbidden. Apart from that, we should have no problems, and also it is worth noting that, as there are no disputes between us, Mr. Huntington is welcome to bring his wife and children along, if he has any.

Cassanos is a fine place to start. We are democratic socialists, but believe in cooperation with markedly capitalist nations, as long as they proscribe to a sensible moral code. We are a member nation of the Alliance of Socialist States and are hopeful to find a new ally is Cassanos.

Name of head of state The Emperor of Zakuvia. Nameless since the Reunification, was instrumental in the birth of the Empire and holds Imperial authority. However, in his grace, he has left power to the citizen in the form of the Imperial Senatorum, which has approved opening relations with Cassanos by a vote of 86-14.

The standard complement of security forces in a Cassanotian embassy consists of 4-12 Cassanotian Army infantrymen (also for ceremonial services); armed with P-8 pistols, G-36 assault rifles, smoke, tear gas and hand grenades; as well as 2-8 "civil" security personnel armed with non-lethal weapons, P-8, MP-9-PDWs and MP-5-submachineguns.
Should further protection of the embassy become necessary, we intend to cooperate with local law enforcement and/or military.

We hope that these troops and weapons are in line with the aforementioned regulations.
Mr Huntington will gladly bring his family (wife and 2 children) to your country, provided that there is the possibility for teaching the children, maybe in an international school (their mother tongue is Cassanotian english).

Everything seems to be in order, unless I am missing something. The troops listed are perfectly legal, as are the weapons. Requests for local assistance will generally be handled by the Capital Police, and in extreme cases, the local GDRA and GDRMC forces.

Education for Ambassador and Mrs. Huntington's children could be arranged in numerous ways. Local institutions, tutors included in the Embassy staff, etc...

We are open to what best suits you.

In addition, the Grand Duke will be unable to greet the Ambassador's party on its arrival. He sends his apologies, but some pressing issue will be keeping him mostly occupied for the forseeable future. However, his daughter, Commander Darlene Morris, GDRN, has agreed to head the greeting party in his place. We hope this is acceptable to you.

Thank you for your swift answer and permission. A group of Cassanotian officials ald experts will arrive shortly (within about 2 days) in a governmental aircraft to inspect the allocated building(s) and prepare them for the ambassador's party's arrival.

The People and Parliament of Cassanos appreciate the Grand Duke's efforts and concerns, and Mr Huntington is honored to be welcomed by the Grand Duke's daughter, of course.
Anyway, his arrival will probably not before about 2-3 weeks, due to the necessity to manage personal and official affairs.

Firstly, my apologies that I have taken so long.

My nation's setting is Modern Tech, going slowly towards Post-Modern Tech. Eventually, my intention is to have Roseberg be a fairly futuristic nation with high but still fairly realistic tech levels.

My nation's Army is small, just a few combat brigades and so forth divied up into a few divisions, and the Marine Corps has even less personnel.

Law is enforced by the National Police Department, a single, nationwide office linked to the Justice Department.
