Some thing creep up on you, but others seem to arrive quicker than you thought. So had happened the departure of Emperor Atoxon on his world tour. It seem like only a couple days earlier a request had been sent out to tour wonders other nations of the world beheld. Several had responded, and a couple were quiet notable ones. A total of eleven nations to visit, which would most certainly take him out of his own country for nearly three weeks, perhaps even a month. He left the nation's affairs in the able hands of the parliment, though he would have rather they be in his. Daily reports would be sent to his plane through the vast communications gear, but it wasn't the same thing as being on his own land. Such was a compromise to bringing Orzio to the world stage, gaining it friends and, just maybe, a few new allies. One could never be without too many allies in this dangerous world.
Harold Logit would be accompanying the Emperor, the Second Minister of Foreign Affairs. Logit was an able man, and he was here to offer advise should the need arise concerning trade, defense, or something of that nature. Atoxon was able himself when it came to diplomacy, but it was always good to have a second opinion, the better to make sure something wasn't overlooked.
It was to great fanfare that Atoxon and his entourage boarded his plane, a converted Boeing 777. It held a great deal more luxeries than most VIP planes of smaller size, such as the G-IV. There were sleeping quarters that rivaled the ones in the Royal Palace, albeit those didn't have turbulance. Most of those that accompanied the Emperor had some place to sleep, though usually they had to take turns in order to get an open bed. There was a bar to serve drinks. For the journalists there was a computer area with internet access and the latest computers so they could file their reports. In the front was the communications area, with the usual tech geeks. Just aft of them was the security section where the soldiers could relax, read, play cards, or snooze, as well as store and clean their weapons. They carried their pistols on them at all times, but the plane held their rifles and some various other weapons and supplies. There was another section at the rear of the plane exactly alike. In the middle was a conference area, with an oak table surrounded with leather chairs. In the middle of the table was an outline of the Orzi flag, made with gold leaf.
The first nation on the list was Skamania and Duloc, and the 777 lifted off the runway of Orzadia International Airport, gently banked west, and climbed to its cruising altitude of 33,000 ft. They would be in the air for several hours, but it wasn't bad. There were even movies available to watch on plasma screens in HD, which some did. Atoxon read up a little on King Louis II, his S&D counterpart. Sounded like a good monarch, one whom Atoxon would do his best to make a friend. The tour laid out for him also sounded wonderful and full of learning, which was what he wanted. So many thing he didn't yet know about the world. There was more to the world than just war, diplomacy and trade. Each nation had a history, something that made it different from the next. There were artifacts, monuments, food, paintings, books and more to be learned about. Atoxon was sure he'd have more than enough things to keep his learning busy for the next few months, perhaps a year.

While Queen Henriette was busy trying to find herself a good dress to wear when greeting Emperor Atoxon, King Louis II had been simply waiting in the "lobby" of the Royal Palace with his nation's Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Maximillien Thenardier, who was well dressed for the occasion at hand. The King's six children were scattered around the nation but only one, the thirteen year old Princess Mirabelle was able to be there that day and she was excited to be able to see the Emperor of Orzio, she was prepared to greet him in French, thinking it would be a good custom to practice.
When the Emperor's plane finally landed in the airport, the Emperor and his entourage were greeted by calm and expressionless soldiers, members of the "King's Entourage" and a multitude of curious citizens who had been told during the evening news that an "imperial visitor" would be visiting their beloved nation. In that group of members of the "King's Entourage", there was Cécile Carbonneau, a lovely young woman whose delicate pixie like features could charm many men.
Giving a courtsey to the Emperor she was appointed to greet, she introduced herself in a diluted but still understandable French accent:
"Welcome, Your Majesty, to the (United) Kingdom of Skamania and Duloc. My name is Cécile Carbonneau and I am pleased to be your tour guide, though only for a short moment, and to be the person who takes you to His Majesty, King Louis the Second. Please follow me."
Walking calmly with some guards and the other members of the Entourage behind her, Cécile follows the Emperor into the limosuine which has all the amnenites befitting a limosuine that is used to transport monarchs. As the Emperor looked out the window to see the city of Bourbonville, Cécile would occassionally talk to him, her French accent still heard.
"It is nice to be here with you, Your Majesty...what I mean is that I never expected to be chosen for this job." Cécile confessed this to her royal guest before looking out the window for a moment. The Emperor was soon alerted by Cécile that they were at the Palace.
=======================
"He's here." Maximillien said while adjusting the collar of the tuxedo that he was wearing that day. Standing next to King Louis the Second, the voluptuous Queen Henriette and the young but charming Princess Mirabelle, Maximillien would be the first to greet the Emperor of Orzio as he stepped into the lobby of the Royal Palace ("King Louis I's Palace"), which was adorned with all sorts of sculptures, paintings and murals.
Maximillien, upon his eyes getting their first sight of the Emperor, bowed and then shook the Emperor's hand in a handshake. "Maximillien Thenardier, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. It is an honor to meet you." Maximillien's hand soon moved to point at the members of his group.
King Louis II came forward and gave Atoxon a firm handshake. Dressed in his one of many uniforms that showed he was a monarch of power and influence, Louis studied his guest before speaking: "I am King Louis the Second, I have been told much about you and it is nice to finally be seeing you in person."
Louis led Atoxon to the two ladies he was with, they both curtseyed when they laid their eyes upon Atoxon: "These two ladies are my wife, Queen Henriette and one of my children, Princess Mirabelle."
"Bonjour, Votre Majesté." Mirabelle said with a smile to Atoxon.
"It is a pleasurable honor to be meeting you." Queen Henriette said to her imperial acquaintance.
While Maximillien was talking with Harold Logit, the King of Skamania and Duloc and his two ladies were all talking to Atoxon, questioning him about how his flight went and so forth. He had also been given a itinerary by Cécile, who could be contacted if there was ever a need to do so.
"What would you like to see first?" Queen Henriette asked Emperor Atoxon while they all stood in the palace lobby together, waiting to begin the Emperor's tour of Skamania and Duloc.
Ah, a man fit to be called a king, Atoxon thought when he first saw Louis II. Native Orzians considered Atoxon to be impossing most of the time, but that was because they usually only saw him on television during speeches or special events. In person, he could be quiet charming and warm, especially when he wanted to make friends and have adventures. As for King Louis II, Atoxon noticed the lavish clothes and the pomp that came with royalty, and he wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
"It is an honor to meet you as well King, as well your lovely wife and daughter. I can tell they make you most happy, which is what any man wants in life." Atoxon's eyes quickly swept the room. Only four of his guards had accompanied him from the plane, of which three were for him and one for Harold Logit. The guards were slowly casing the room, more to just look impossing and hopefully stop someone in their thoughts about an attack, but to also show off a little. They were in their dress uniforms, with cerimonial swords hanging from their sides as their only weapons if needed. Atoxon continued his quick look. He noted that Harold was off and talking as career diplomats do. They always seemed to make acquaintances fast, but who knew if they would become friends. Atoxon hoped that he and Louis would, but time would tell. First though, was to look around and tour the land of Skamania and Duloc.
"I am quiet impressed with your palace! I am not one who knows much about decorating, but your's is very nice. If it is allowable, I am interested to see the art of your palace. I have heard that some people keep paintings of important people in such places, and am curious if you have any. And after that, I believe it would be in the best interest if we begin with a tour of your lovely city." He motioned for Harold to join him. "And if you like, I believe Mr. Logit and Mr. Thenardier can talk like diplmats do, about exchanging embassies?"
As much as Atoxon found his tourguide, Cécile Carbonneau, charming and beautiful, he still had half his mind with him that the palace still interested him. The city, and her, could wait a little while longer. First, time to view luxary.

"A good hearted man." Queen Henrietta thought of her imperial acquaintance when she first saw him. Like her husband, she thought that Emperor Atoxon was a good man who simply wanted to learn about the nations of the world like those before him had wanted to do for centuries. As they talked for a while, Princess Mirabelle studied Atoxon a bit closely but then simply listened to him talk to her parents.
"It is an honor to meet you, Emperor. My wife has, I must say, given me more than one child, but all of them like my daughter here make me happy and so does she." King Louis said before getting a glimpse of his flattered wife. The conversation progressed without any problems and this was pleasing to King Louis, who had wanted Atoxon's tour of Skamania and Duloc to be free of problems.
"This is one of our palaces but it is our home. It has been constantly decorated since the time of King Louis the First and many monarchs and so forth have designed the palace in their own way, giving it a mosical layout. We do have plenty of paintings of important people as you say and I do believe Mr. Logit and Mr. Thenardier can discuss foreign relations while we go on our tour." King Louis said this before they began to walk towards the door leading to the gallery, one of many galleries actually. "By the way, Emperor, there is a guest room for you here." Queen Henrietta said. Before they got into the gallery, the Emperor was stopped in his tracks by Cécile Carbonneau. "Your list of activities, Your Majesty." Cécile said before departing from the group: She really was quite charming to look at.
Entering the gallery, Atoxon could see portraits of many figures of the history of France, the European nation with arguably the most influence upon Skamania and Duloc. King Louis II, be it known, descended from French royalty. "Voltaire...the Bourbon Kings...Charlemagne...all of these icons of history accomplished many things." King Louis said calmly as the group stopped to look at a sculpture of Charlemagne.
"I must admit, it has been some time since I last read any Voltaire, or philosophy in general. The area of study that most fascinated me while younger was mostly history, so I am fairly familiar with Charlemagne. He was very strong, and did much to produce a French empire. Some say he was harsh, but everyone has their critics. Personally, I say he was brilliant. He had to be, in order to stay in power so long and acomplish all the things he did. Ah, but that was long ago, perhaps in a simpler time." Atoxon didn't know what more to say on the subject, since he didn't remember much more that what he had already said.
He slowly walked among the busts of important figures and paintings, commemorating many things, but it was easy to tell the majority pertained to France and various French triumphs. It was expected, since that was the heritage here. Orzi culture and heritage was a mixture of several things, but not very indepth to any of them, due mainly to the many wars over the years for their independence.
Atoxon brought his thoughts back to the present, and to the list of things to do on the list. Several sounded excellent to him, and nearly all of them looked like he would be able to spend time with Cécile. A beautiful woman, she was, and Atoxon felt the desire to spend some time with her, even though he had barely met her. Strange what a woman's charms and beauty can do to a man; no matter how bravado or toughness they showed, put a beautiful woman in front of them and they become children, eager to do anything to please the beauty.
Atoxon turned to address Louis II: "I believe this is one of the finest galleries I have seen! It is an impressive collection. However, I wish to see the city now, if that is agreeable. I can only stand galleries so long, no matter how wonderful they are. I how this does not bother you. And being the leader of this nation, I do not wish to impose on you, and take up my tour with Cécile. See you again for the grand dinner?"

"You seem to know about Charlemagne, he is one of the people this gallery honors. Mind you that we still are proud of our Skamanian and Dulocan heritage alongside the French. I would show you that heritage, but I do not wish to separate you from your tour of the city. My friend, have a good time in the city." King Louis II said this to his guest before he and his two ladies said goodbye to him while Cécile, that woman who possessed the typical French charm and beauty, escorted the Emperor to the limosuine which he would use for transport while touring the city.
Cécile spent the next couple of hours pointing out the various museums, landmarks and buildings that could be found in the city of Hadrianople, explaining their significance with such calmness that Atoxon thought she could be quite the good tour guide one day. As the tour continued, Cécile confessed: "I never expected to be your escort, but I am honored to have been chosen."
The tour was quite long, lasting for several hours. As the day progressed into night, Atoxon was in his guest room when he was greeted by a butler, saying that the Grand Dinner was about to begin. As luck would have it, he took his seat next to Cécile, who was wearing a dress that he thought would have been worn by one of King Louis II's daughters or female relatives. Atoxon soon found himself being given all sorts of fine foods and good drinks and as everyone discarded silence in favor of opening conversation, he found the chance to talk to Cécile.
Simply stunning is how Atoxon would describe the dress Cécile was wearing. He took the chance to compliment her on it.
"If that is what you wear, there will be nothing left for the royalty! You look absolutely amazing. I see that being a tour guide has also given you a fine taste in fashion." He saw that she was trying to hide her blushing some. Yes, he said to himself, I am like a little twitterpatted schoolboy! He decided to direct the conversation about her some, since then he would have an excuss to stare into her eyes.
"Please, tell me about yourself some. I feel that I am being examined some by your King, and while I expected that, it is somewhat I get tired of. And, as my tour guide, I wish to know more the lovely lade who dashed me about!" He had a huge grin on his face, eager to learn more about Cécile.

"Thank you, Your Majesty, for your compliments about my dress. I was lucky enough to have obtained it for tonight's dinner." Cécile said with a smile before she found her conversation with the Emperor of Orzio continuing. To be honest, he was quite handsome and charming. After he asked her to tell him about herself, she tried to tell Atoxon some things about her instead of one long story:
"My mother taught me how to ride horses: she was proud of me when she saw me win several trophies and awards in horse riding competitions. My father always had his friends come for dinners and I was lucky enough to have seen them. We may be wealthy enough to have lived in a manor house but we are not a noble blood." Cécile said. Would not having noble blood circulating through her veins be a problem for the Emperor of Orzio?
He could sense that she was a little hesitant about that admission, as usually it would be something that would alter the nature of a relation. But to Atoxon, he thought about it a moment, and decided it really didn't matter that much to him. She came from a wealthy family, which also obviously had at least some influence with this royal government, and that meant something.
"My dear, you have nothing to be worried about with me. I have no problem with your heritage...unless your family is all a bunch of killers attempting world domination!" He thought the attempt at humor would help her move on, and got a little chuckle.
"Let me tell you a little story. My country hasn't always been, well, the most hospitible place to many people, even its native people. We were slaves in our own land actually. It was a dark time in our history. Eventually, we got tired of being slaves, and wanted to be our own masters. The typical long struggle ensued, and there was much destruction. But we survived. And the strangest thing happened: we then turned on each other. After many more years of killing and destruction, one man got tired of it and vowed to do something about it. In a nutshell, he stopped the fighting and got everyone together to make the modern Orzio. He wasn't noble; he had been a factory worker, his father a farmer, and his father before him was a miner. In Orzio, it not who your parents were - though it is regretfully starting to head that way - it is what you do about your surroundings, what you make out of your life. You can make yourself noble." He paused for a moment. "This isn't the usual thing I tell beautiful girls I've recently met, but I hope that it will help you understand where I come from."

Cecile had gotten her imperial acquaintance’s joke and gave a light laugh which ended before Atoxon gave a story about how his nation became what it was and how its founder was, like her, did not have the blood of nobility in his veins. She found it to be quite touching actually and after Atoxon finished his story, she smiled and thought of something to say in response. “That was a touching story, Your Majesty, about how that one man, a commoner (whatever name you prefer to use) led his people to victory over their enemies.” Cecile smiled again and then looked at her guest. “Thank you for the compliment.” Soon, dinner was finished and everyone went to do their own routines. Cecile decided to stay with Atoxon. “Have you seen your guest room, Your Majesty? If you would like to, I can take you there.” It was not bedtime yet but Cecile thought she could make sure the Emperor of Orzio knew where he would be sleeping.
ooc: I haven't thought up a good name for the founder yet, so I try to limit my references to him, but I'll let you know when he gets a name.
ic:
"No, I have not seen it yet. If you would be so kind..." He gestured towards the door to have her lead him to his room. "The palace here is quiet large, as any palace should be, but they can sometimes be confusing to those that aren't usually in them. It would be nice if there were some sort of generic configuration to them." The jokes, while sometimes pretty lame, seemed to just come out. He didn't expect Cecile to laugh at all of them, but it was nice when she did and when it seemed genuine.
"So, what will you be doing tonight? Preparing what to talk about for the tour's tomorrow?"
Skamania and Duloc

OOC: That is alright with me. Thank you.
"Palaces can be confusing to people who do not live in them."
Cecile laughed a little at his joke as they walked to the guest room. When they arrived, she showed Atoxon a bedroom that was made specifically for royalty and pointed out the nearest bathroom in case he needed to use one during the night. "Tonight I shall be just relaxing in my own guest room, tomorrow I shall take you to see the city." Cecile said to Atoxon before continuing: "If you have any questions, you may ask me. Good night, Your Majesty." Cecile soon gave a curtsey and left the room so she could prepare for tomorrow's exploration of the city and let Atoxon get adjusted to his guest room.
He watched her walk away, her dress flowing as she walked down the corridor, unable to think of something to make her stay. Not quiet what you thought you'd see on your tour, was it?, he thought to himself. And while it had been a productive day, he was a little tired. Looking at art sometimes did that too him, though he'd never admit it to anyone. So, he took off his royal clothes and got ready for bed, taking longer than usual looking in the mirror. Not actually looking at himself really, more gazing, into what he now hoped could be a future for him. His thoughts wandered about, going from his childhood, of all things, to reviewing his day with Cecile. It was at that moment that he realized that he was a little lonely. Sure, he could have any woman he wanted back home, and he did have friends and people that kept him company, but they were only superficial, not really people he could confide in and fully trust with, well, anything.
Old boy, you've really done it now. You've grown old, but without anyone to share it with. Is that my problem; I want someone to be close to? He was sure of the feelings he felt for Cecile, that they were genuine in his interest in her. She was incredibly beautiful, but beauty by itself wouldn't keep his interest. She was elegant, in the full meaning of the word. She had class, despite the economic sense of it, and had grace. She knew when she was needed, and was there when needed, yet somehow she left Atoxon wanting more of her, more time with her. I bet women really know the hold they have on us men. Acting all innocent, shy...Ha!! Its a trick, a gender conspiracy! He was mostly joking, but he thought there might still be something to the women knowing thing. But it was time to rest before tomorrow. Sleep came slowly at first, since his mind wouldn't stop reminding him how much it wanted to think of Cecile, but it eventually dimmed enough for him to sleep.
In the morning, he was showered and dressed, munching on some fruit from the bowl in his room, waiting for her to return to begin the day.

As the moon gave its place in the sky to the sun, Cecile, dressed as if she were a secretary, came to Atoxon's room in the morning as he waited for her to arrive. "Your Majesty, I have our schedule right here." Cecile said, showing her guest the numerous activities they would be doing that day such as attending an opera performance during the night and visiting a museum during the day. Cecile, who never thought much of being appointed to be Atoxon's tour guide, hoped he would be satisfied with what he would be seeing today.
As they got into the limosuine, Cecile explained that they would be first going to the National History Museum, filled with artifacts and items from all parts of the history of Skamania and Duloc. She had been there when she was younger and told Atoxon how she had been there before and how he might like to see the history of his host nation. "The museum is quite large and has plenty of exhibits, Your Majesty." Cecile said as the limosuine got to the National History Museum around eleven. Entering the museum, Cecile first took Atoxon to the Medieval Exhibit:
"The Medieval Exhibit has manuscripts, artifacts, and all sorts of items from when our nation was in the Medieval Era. Feel free to look at all this exhibit has to offer." Cecile said as she followed Atoxon closely, pointing out items such as a medieval map or text, followed by a brief explanation of its significance. Cecile hoped she would be able to show most of the exhibits to Atoxon and hoped that at the end of the day, he would be satisfied with her performance.
Moving through the exhibits, Atoxon found he wasn't paying them as much attention as he probably should, focusing more on Cecile's voice and her movements. Her voice was like a gentle river, running on and on yet still soothing to hear. He was fascinated by what she had to say, and even with history being one of his loves of education, it was more difficult to remember everything she was showing him. But it was all still exciting to see.
"You have a nice number of exhibits on this era. I am sad to say that nearly all relics and artifacts from this time period did not survive from our history, though I would imagine it probably was similar to what you have already shown me. Our wars have been...quiet destructive in the past, unfortunately. Your expansions on the exhibits has been most informative as well. The museum does a good job at explaining things, but you can never fit everything on a small plaque, no matter how good a job you do. I am extremely pleased to have you as my own guide!" He smiled at her as he said the last sentence.
Moving on through the museum, he stopped at many exhibits, upon which Cecile continued her task of informing him of its significance upon the Skamanian (ooc: is that okay to reference your nation, or do you prefer something else?) nation. It was all quiet fascinating, and clearly French influences stood out the most. The museum even looked French, oddly enough. Atoxon smirked some at that thought, then continued on as Cecile walked him through more of the museum.

"It is nice to hear your compliments for the museum, I think it has done a good job preserving our nation's medieval history. It is sad that your nation's historic artifacts, etc have not survived as ours have but I am sure there are some items or texts that your nation has from the Medieval Era. I am also thankful for your compliment of me and I am pleased to be your tour guide." Cecile said as they left the Medieval Exhibit and entered into the next exhibit, which was named the "Renaissance Exhibit", it would be followed by exhibits going through the 17th to 19th centuries. Cecile made sure she told Atoxon about the significance of the items that they saw in the exhibits and after a while, they walked out of the last exhibit of the museum and back to the limosuine.
"Next on our agenda, Your Majesty, is a tour of Nouveau Versailles, a former palace which is now a museum and which was named for and built in the style of the famous palace of France. I will guide you through the palace when we arrive." Cecile said to Atoxon before her eyes turned away from Atoxon to study the schedule she had in her hand. Not only was she smart and beautiful but also hard working. The limosuine drove casually through the cleared streets, driving to Nouveau Versailles.
Her hands. For some strange reason, he didn't want to look away from them. While delicate looking, Atoxon was sure that they were not fragile. He wanted to find an excuse to take hold of one. It seemed Cecile was, for the moment, more focused on the tour itself, but Atoxon was sure there were some thoughts running around her mind about him. He could sense it. Now, if only he knew exactly what she was thinking. Hmmm.
Atoxon could tell from the gardens around Nouveau Versailles that it was vast and extremely magnificant. He had seen pictures of the Versailles in France, but this could even rival it. There was nothing like this in Orzio, something so beautifully maintained and grand. Well, he knew now that upon returning home he'd be busy designing and building things.
When the limo stopped, the driver came around and opened the door from the outside. Most of the people Atoxon could see were either security or maintenance people, gardners and such. Atoxon got out of the limo first, then offered his hand to Cecile as she came out of the limo.
"Shall we?"

Cecile smiled and took Atoxon's hand, thanking him as she got out of the limosuine. As they entered the palace, Cecile began the tour by telling Atoxon how this palace was no longer used by royalty but was made into a museum but nonetheless was made to look like it was still in the years when it was built, with all its portraits and sculptures still where they were since Nouveau Versailles' birth. Cecile took Atoxon to the "Music Room", where composers would play their compositions during galas instead of the buildings in the cities designated for that purpose. An old piano from those days was in the room, enjoying quiet solitude at the price of never being played by another composer. Around it were instruments probably played by an orchestra.
After the Music Room, Cecile took Atoxon throughout the entirety of Nouveau Versailles, going through every corridor and going inside every room, Cecile wanted Atoxon to see everything he could. Finally, after just seeing what looked like the private study of a wealthy member of the nobility, they stood in the lobby of Nouveau Versailles and Cecile smiled at Atoxon. "I hope you enjoyed the tour, Your Majesty. Next on our schedule is a visit to a statue of a famous French leader. Also, if I may ask: What do you think of opera?"
"There are some good and some bad, and I always hope to avoid the bad! But seriously, I do enjoy it some. Our playwrights back home are just learning the form, and while they do try their best, it is still a work in progress. I take it from your question though, that you have somethig specific already in mind?" Atoxon grinned at her.

"I am going to be taking you to one of the city's opera houses tonight. There will be a program given to you so you know what is going on and do not worry about being able to see: We have excellent seating arrangements. Perhaps one day people will see what Orzio's playwrights' operatic compositions are like." Cecile said as they got into the limosuine that was outside together.
The limosuine drove for a while along the city streets before stopping at a large statue of a man on a horse that looked like the portrait of Napoleon at Austerlitz...in fact it was Napoleon Bonaparte. Cecile gave some information before they went back into the limosuine and spent the day touring more of the city before heading back to the Palace. "Your Majesty, in a couple of days you will be leaving the city to see more of our nation." Cecile said before going to get ready for the opera.
Later that night, Atoxon was called down to the lobby of the Palace where his eyes fixed themselves onto Cecile who came down in a very exquisite and beautiful dress that showed off her curves and slender frame, she was one of those girls with an hourglass shape but was not snobbish or anything about that. Cecile smiled at Atoxon as she looked at him before they went to the opera house which was filled with many people that night. "Tonight's opera is La Bohème, which is one of the operas imported from Europe." Cecile said as they got their programs before taking their seats in one of the "boxes" that gave them a good view of the stage. Before it started, Cecile said: "Refer to the program when needed."
As much as the opera was a good one - though Atoxon frequently was checking his program to figure out what was going on - his mind wasn't on the stage as much as it was to the woman sitting next to him. The dress she choose to wore only made her stand out more to him, showing off her curves very well.
The play lasted a couple hours, which didn't seem that long to Atoxon. His mind had kept him busy, even if it had been to wonder what was under the dress as much as it had been to admire her actually in it. Perhaps tonight was a good night to invite her to stay with him?
As they rode back to the palace in the limo, Atoxon tried not to stare at her, but sometimes it couldn't be helped. He at least held her in his peripheral vision, though that wasn't as good. There were a couple times he was sure she saw him eyeing her, but if she didn't she didn't give it away. Maybe she wasn't as fond of him as he was of her, but if she was she was able to hide it well.
Back at the palace, they walked together from the limo to Atoxon's room. Cecile looked about to leave, but Atoxon knew this was his chance. "Would....are you able to stay for a little more? I wish to talk with you more, informally. I enjoy talking to you, and I regret that so far it has been more business than pleasure. Perhaps we can change this?" He motioned for her to come in, and hoped that she would stay longer than just a little bit.

After the final scene of the opera ended, Cecile and Atoxon contributed to the spontaneous applause of much of the people who had spent their night watching it. "I hope you enjoyed the opera tonight." Cecile said as they walked outside towards the limosuine that was waiting for them. "You can keep the program, Your Majesty. Think of it as a souvenir from your tour of my nation." Cecile said while they were in the limosuine as it drove towards the Palace.
When they got to the palace, they walked together to Atoxon's room. When Cecile listened to what Atoxon had to say, she was a bit amazed that he would propose her coming into his room and staying for a bit but Atoxon soon heard her say: "I would not mind staying. Sure." The lovely Cecile, still dressed in the clothes she wore to the opera, entered Atoxon's guest room and they began to talk for a while. "You know, Your Majesty, I never expected to be chosen to be your tour guide but since I was chosen, I can tell you that it has been a pleasurable honor." Cecile said proudly followed by a smile before they continued to talk again.
"I do not know why you consider yourself lucky to be my guide. So far, you have proven to be nothing less than outstanding in the quality of service you have provided. And besides, you are very beautiful, and that must count for something." Atoxon looked directly into her eyes, hoping to find a connection there to the emotion he was looking for. Cecile, still as beautiful as ever in her gown, was somewhat bashful and, it seemed, not quite as confident in his presence as she should be. The more time they spent together though would probably change that, which is why Atoxon wanted her to spend the night. Aside from his impulses, he really did enjoy just being in her company, and whether or not they acted on his impulses, just sleeping in the same room in close proximity would help Atoxon sleep better he knew. But he was getting ahead of himself.
"I hope that I have not made you uncomfortable, asking you in. In truth, I am hopeful that you will stay. I find you most attractive, and you have a warm and engaging personality, something that I have not found until I met you. Of course, I will not do anything that will make you uncomfortable, and I hope that me being this blunt has not done so. I usually am not like this, but...." He thought it wise to shut up now, considering he was starting to ramble on. Words were not coming to him at the moment, and he wasn't really sure what the next step would be. As powerful as he was, at this moment he didn't feel like a ruler, only someone transfixed by the beauty of a woman, caught in her glory.

"Thank you for your compliments, Your Majesty. It was just unexpected that I became your guide, that I was chosen as your guide but ever since I have begun, I can say that it has been a good experience." Cecile said to Atoxon before she found him looking into her eyes for a moment, she kept her calmness and did not flinch but simply stood there while silence briefly reigned before Atoxon began to continue the conversation but the words that he used to continue made Cecile amazed. Did this monarch have a romantic interest in her? To be honest she did like him, he had good looks and personality.
"Your Majesty...all of what you have said about me is nice to hear from you, a monarch who has good looks and personality, something which I have believed you have since the first days of your visit to our nation. Your being blunt has not offended me or anything but if I may ask....are you romantically inclined towards me? I am just curious if you are or not. Also, but what?" Cecile said in response to what Atoxon had said. If he was in love with her, then her parents would be surprised at the prospect of their daughter in a romantic relationship with the Emperor of Orzio, amazed if he would go so far as to propose marriage, something Cecile would be very amazed about. As soon as Cecile finished talking, there was a moment of silence.
He felt that he had been to foward with her just now, and that it was time to back off some. It wouldn't be good to scare her away or make her feel as if she was being scrutanized by him. The moment of silence felt like it was unending, but Atoxon finally broke it.
"To answer your question, yes I am attracted to you. You have an endearing personality to go with your stunning beauty, and I have found in you someone I can talk to beyond the formalities that predominate what I do. But I'm afraid I have never been very....diplomatic when it comes to this type of situation. In the past it has been a few cunning and devious women that try to entrap me in the hopes of jumping up in their social status or wealth. I have felt betrayed before, something I am not interested in feeling again."
He paused for a moment, to collect his thoughts mostly. He felt that that had to be said. Perhaps it helped the moment. Finally, he said, "You may go, if you wish. I do not want to impose on you. I should have just let alone and see where this went."

"I never thought that an emperor would be attracted to me but I do not mind it and I also thank you for the compliments you gave me. It should be told that I think you are handsome and have a vibrant personality. Also, do not think I am one of those "cunning and devious" women for I would betray you simply to get a better place on the social status ladder, for I am not one of those women. Your Majesty, I never expected that you would be attracted to me, such a thought never came to my mind." Cecile said after Atoxon had finished talking. She was surprised to hear that Atoxon was attracted to her and suddenly a vision of her possible future came into her mind but its duration was short.
Cecile had some feelings for Atoxon, after all he was a good man with personality and looks and was nice to her, giving her compliment after compliment. "Your Majesty, is that all you wanted to talk about? I do not mind staying longer." Cecile asked as her eyes were focused on Atoxon, as if she was a pirate and he was the hidden treasure just recently found.
"Actually, after all that, I'm not sure what I can say that will keep going," he joked. Corny jokes came easy to him. Sometimes they fit, other times they died quickly. "You can stay, if you wish. I guess we can talk about what's coming up, the plans you have for me." He gave her a devious grin, more playful than anything. He was trying to be sweet, emperor or not. Sometimes a stigma came with the word, like he had to be some physically imposing person who got a kick out of being cruel, having whims galore and bring hell down upon those that didn't follow his instructions to the letter, dotting every i and crossing every t. His personality was not like that, but not overly so much that he was a wimp. He was very fit, but fitness was a trait of all Orzi, as physical education started very early in life. Strong too. His brown hair went to the bottom of his ears, but was not shaggy or fluffy, more just straight but not with any ugly comb-back. In a nutshell, it could be said he had moviestar looks, but people's perceptions of good looks was too varied.
His mind turned back to Cecile, then to the future. Not quite the near future, but skipping around some. He could picture asking her to marry him - she saying yes, of course - and moving to Orzio. They could do so many things, and perhaps he could fulfill any dream she had, being the emperor. Walking on the beaches, perhaps visiting one of the outer islands for a weekend, other things skimmed through his mind. Maybe even having children, but all that was too far ahead. He hadn't even asked her yet, though he was starting to come up with ideas for how to do it.
"So, what is left for me to do here in Skamania and Duloc?"
Skamania and Duloc
03-11-2007, 19:34
"Skamania and Duloc has much history for you to see." Cecile said as she showed Atoxon her schedule, sitting right next to him on the bed. "First, we will see Fort Bourbon, one of our nation's oldest military forts. The fort will be first on our list, followed by a visit to an agricultural community. There is plenty to do in our nation but I will show you what I can." Cecile said to Atoxon before giving him a small smile. "We will be going out of the city tomorrow so I think you should get some sleep."
After breakfast, Atoxon and Cecile got into the limosuine that drove towards Fort Bourbon which was in the city of Belleville. When the limosuine finally entered Belleville, Atoxon could see that it was a seafaring city as the harbors were very developed. Cecile smiled as she pointed out the massive fort that was near the harbors. "That is Fort Bourbon, built by King Louis the First." Cecile said as the limosuine stopped near the fort. They got out of the vehicle and entered the fort, soon finding themselves at one of the walls overlooking the sea. "This is such a good view." Cecile said as she looked at the ships traveling in the sea. "Atoxon, feel free to look with me."
Cecile and Atoxon toured the entire fort and ended the tour with a look at one of the fort's cannons. Cecile smiled at Atoxon, hoping he enjoyed the tour of the fort. "Would you like a tour of Belleville, Your Majesty?" Cecile asked. "This place has more than just developed harbors and a massive fort. I believe that there are some landmarks you might like here."
(OOC: Sorry for the lateness of my reply)
"You have some impressive ships, and the fort must have done a good job at defending your nation to be preserved so well. My military back home is clamoring for upgrades and new programs, so I am searching for things to give them that won't ruin the bank, and this has given me some ideas. I thank you for that. But now, I'd actually like to just walk down the marketplace here, look in a few shops, get an idea of the things your fellow citizens sell. I hope that this could lead to a trade agreement between our two nations as well." He was looking through the windows at some men's garments on the manequins, wondering if the shirt he was looking at would look good on him. There was no way to know for sure out here, so Atoxon walked inside and found a shirt that he thought would be his size, and asked for a dressing room. Once inside, he found the shirt to his liking, and decided to purchase it. Walking up to the counter, he realized that he didn't have any money on him. "Uh, I seem to have forgotten my money in my other outfit. Perhaps you can open a tab, and I will pay you again? You can put it under the name Atoxon, Emperor of Orzio." He was a bit surprised that the cashier wouldn't do so, no matter who he was. In response, he had one of his security aides run back to the palace and grab some money that had been exchanged the first day after their arrival. Upon returning, Atoxon was finally able to buy the shirt he wanted.
He was sure Cecile was amused at the exchange, no doubt itching to offer to buy it herself, but Atoxon couldn't have her spend her money buying him things from her own country. He had plenty of money. Besides, he wanted to buy her something special later. As the moved down the street, they happened upon a jewerly store, and Atoxon asked Cecile to stay outside politely. He didn't want her to know what he was buying, so he gave her the excuse that after the last store he didn't want more people to behave any way different than usual, and that included him announcing his royalty, too.
Once back outside, with the small box safely tucked away into one of his coat pockets, he rejoined Cecile. "So, how about the landmarks now? Once we're through with that, I'd like to see one of your best beaches. Even though I've got several back home, I always love being on them, and I wish to be on one of yours."

"The fort did a good job defending our nation centuries ago but now it stands as a landmark that shows people our history and you are welcome, Your Majesty. As for the trade agreement, you will have to ask our government for that." Cecile said before she let him go to the marketplace to visit the stores and purchase some items if he desired. Cecile did wait outside while Atoxon visited the jewelry store and when Atoxon came back outside, she answered his questions:
"First, I think I will show you the agricultural community, Your Majesty. Afterwards I can take you to one of my nation's beaches. I am hopeful that the weather will be pleasant while we are at the beach together."
They got into their limosuine and it drove off towards the agricultural community (similar to the real life Grange groups) that Cecile had told Atoxon about. Entering the community, Atoxon could see that it was a plainly agrarian community with farmers composing its population.
"The community is part of an organization that encourages rural families to band together. This community is not as old as some of the other communities in Skamania and Duloc but the philosophy they follow is as old as the organization itself."
After touring the community, Cecile and Atoxon stood near a market vendor's booth as they ate some food that they bought from the vendor and it was delicious. "Would you like to purchase any clothing for the beach, Your Majesty?" Cecile asked as they got into the vehicle before it drove away from the agricultural community until it was unable to be seen.
"This food is wonderful. Very tasty, you can really get a sense of its flavor." After wiping his mouth and hands, Atoxon replied, "No, I don't need to do any more buying for the moment. All I want to do is stroll along the beach, to feel the sand on my feet. I do not have any intention of going in the water, if that is what you mean. But please, lead the way. I am eager to see the beach."

Cecile and Atoxon went back to their vehicle before it sped off towards the beach. It did not take much time to get there but when they did Atoxon was able to see one of Skamania and Duloc's beaches. Not that many people were there that day, so Cecile and Atoxon were able to claim a part of the beach for themselves.
"Feel free to explore and feel the sand on your feet, Your Majesty."
The view was very nice, Atoxon thought. Maybe even a little better than the beaches at home. He'd have to do something about that once he got home. All the wars and fighting in Orzi past had destroyed or damaged many things, and much had yet to recover or be repaired, and some beaches were on that list. But here with Cecile, that thought took a back seat as they walked slowly along, the sand pushing its way up through his toes. He didn't speak for a few moments, looking around for a comfortable place to sit in some shade, and trying to figure out exactly what words to use. In the distance, he found a place to his liking, and directed Cecile towards it. The walk was short, and once there they both sat down, facing the ocean as it steadily beat against the shore. After a couple minutes of this, he slowly slipped his left hand into his pocket, and pulled the ring out of its box while in his pocket. Well, there's no time like now. Probably not going to get such a beautiful place better than this, he thought. He looked at Cecile. "I think I sat on an anthill." He made a quick show like he was looking, which got her to look around too.
While she was distracted doing that, he quickly brought the ring out, got down on one knee, and said, "Cecile, I know that we have not known each other very long, and that this might be too soon, but I want you to know that I have come to enjoy your company so much. You are one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. You are smart, organized, cheerful, and much more. And as I've been her with you, I've realized that I have a void in my life, one in which I feel that you fill. So now.....Cecile, will you marry me?"
Skamania and Duloc

Cecile was amazed when she heard Atoxon ask her to marry him and thoughts swirled in her head for a moment as she tried to think of what to say to the Emperor of Orzio. Placing the ring in her hands she looked at it as it was in its box and smiled but did not really know what to say. Finally, after some contemplation, an answer formed in her mind and she gave it to Atoxon:
"I never expected you would want to marry me, Your Majesty. It is something that amazes me, I mean it is too soon and we have not known each other long....I am just so amazed. I need to think about it all for a moment."
A little sad, Atoxon understood what Cecile was talking about. They had basically just met a few days ago, and only spent time together on the tours. But he couldn't deny that the feelings he had for her were real, were intense, and that he wanted to be with her. He didn't want to scare her or force her into something she didn't want, though.
"I......of course, take as much time as you need. Of course I would like you to say yes, but I do not want to force you on as big a decision as this is. I hope that this will not impair our tours left."

(OOC: Perhaps at the end of the tour Cecile can make her decision)
"This will not impair the remaining tours, Your Majesty. I will require more time to think about your proposal." Cecile said before she and Atoxon left the beach and spent the rest of the day touring Belleville. Soon it was night and Cecile and Atoxon went back to the national capital where Atoxon's guest room was located. They talked for a while before everyone went to sleep for the night. As Cecile slept, the marriage proposal was the focus of her dreams. Would she accept or reject?
When the sun rose to its place in the sky, Cecile knocked on Atoxon's door and he opened it to see the lady he loved dressed for what he knew was a visit to another landmark or place in Skamania and Duloc. "Your Majesty, have you ever seen a street festival?" Cecile asked him with a smile. "If not, there is a festival that I would like to show you today."
"No, I have not. I'm not even sure what would be involved with a street festival. There's probably nothing related to it in Orzio. Sadly, we haven't had much to celebrate with festivals in our recent history. Maybe in the distant past, if our historians went looking, but I don't know. So, what's one like?"
Skamania and Duloc

"A street festival is an event in which people may see street performances, have good food, and enjoy themselves. I think you would like going to a festival, Your Majesty."
When they got to the street festival, Cecile and Atoxon watched some performances by street performers, ate some food together, visited the various booths and just enjoyed themselves for the day as Cecile showed Atoxon what it was like to take part in a street festival. "This brings me back to my childhood." Cecile said when they took a seat at one of a nearby (informal) restaurant's tables, watching the people going from place to place.
"How do you like the festival, Your Majesty?"
"It has been nice. I'm quite impressed with the performers. I've never seen anything like it. Maybe when I get home I can start something like this up. It would be good to have something as festive as this. It would get people's spirits up." Atoxon kept looking around, muching on his food periodically. He would look at Cecile some, but tried very hard now not to look at her too much. "As a child, did you come to these much?"

"It is good to hear that you have had a good time here at the street festival. When I was a child I came to street festivals sometimes and I enjoyed going to them." Cecile said with a smile as she remembered a childhood memory. After they finished their food and their visit to the street festival, Cecile and Atoxon went back to the King's Palace. When they arrived, the Emperor and Cecile were greeted by a familiar acquaintance.
"Your Majesty, welcome back from the street festival." King Louis said as he came forward with his wife. "We just came back from our daughter's private school." The Queen said happily. As they went inside, the King was talking to Atoxon about how he had left the city to see how his daughter was doing at her school.
"I hope you have had a good time in Skamania and Duloc." King Louis said before he left the room with the Queen. When they left, Cecile looked at Atoxon and smiled.
"Your Majesty, have you ever rode a horse before?" Cecile asked Atoxon.
"You know, I can't say I have. It hasn't been something I've had time to try before, but if that's next on the list, then lead the way."
Skamania and Duloc

Cecile and Atoxon went to the stable that the King's Palace had and as they chose their horses, Cecile explained that this activity was really not on the list but that it would be nice to just ride horses together in the fields. When they mounted their horses, they slowly rode out into the fields and began to ride together for a while.
"How has the horse riding been for you, Your Majesty?" Cecile asked after the horses stopped moving for a moment.
"You know, I've thoroughly enjoyed this. I don't have time to ride horses back home, but now I know what I've been missing." He smiled at her, a soft gentle smile. She seemed to be enjoying herself, which is what he most cared about at the moment. He wanted her to feel comfortable around him, not pressed to do anything she didn't want to. He turned to gaze at the countryside, taking in all the greens of the rolling hills, the trees in all their glory. At home he wasn't always able to get outside the city, and though he always liked being in it, there was something about the country that made him relax. It was probably the lack of people, the ability to actually hear the background noise, but whatever it was, he sometimes missed it. He turned back to Cecile. "It has been so wonderful, my time here in your country. It has many good things about it, some of wish I had back home. I will surely try to make some changes at home, as I have some ideas for making my nation more culturally diverse, and you have given me those ideas. Sadly though, I must be moving on. I know that you have not given me an answer yet, but if you feel you need more time, you have as much as you need. However, there are other places I wish to go. The time I've spent her I feel was well worth it."

"Does that mean you will be leaving, Your Majesty?"
Cecile had listened to what Atoxon had said and she escorted him back to the Palace where he could get his posessions and prepare to visit the next nation on his agenda. He had been told that he could go on his plane tomorrow so Atoxon was given a special feast during dinner and best wishes from the King and his family (Cecile gave her best wishes). During the night, Cecile was thinking about Atoxon and decided that she would tell him what her decision was. Cecile knocked on Atoxon's door and when he let her inside, Cecile looked at him calmly and began to speak:
"Your Majesty, I have always thought you were a goodhearted person filled with a charming personality and dressed in handsome looks. It has been a pleasurable honor being your tour guide and know that privately I have thought about you. When you first proposed to me, I was amazed that you did because I never expect you asking me to marry you, that was not a thought when they first told me I was your tour guide. However, after some contemplation, I have made my decision. Your Majesty, you may place the ring on my hand, for I will marry you."
Cecile smiled at Atoxon and pictured him giving her an embrace or just being happily joyful with the fact that the lady he loved had given consent to marrying him.
A huge smile can across Atoxon's face. He had never been so happy over one thing before. He placed the ring gently on Cecile's finger, glad that he had got the right size on the first try, then hugged her. It was nice to finally be able to do so, as her skin was so smooth to his touch, and there was a warmth to it. With being his tour guide, he had thought about it but wasn't ever able to touch her, and now that he could he felt wonderful, and it was worth the wait.
"Even though I have thought about you saying yes many times, hearing it for real is so good. So, what's the tradition here when someone important gets engaged? Should we run down the halls and wake everyone up, or wait till morning?"
Skamania and Duloc

"We should wait till morning to tell everyone about our marriage, Your Majesty. Your Majesty, if we are to be married, may I call you by your first name?" Cecile said before she walked towards the door. "I think I should let you rest now, I will be here tomorrow to see you."
The next day, Cecile walked to Atoxon's room and knocked on the door, Cecile was ready to tell everyone that she was marrying the Emperor of Orzio and that she would be the Empress. She knocked again and waited for Atoxon to come outside so they could announce the marriage together and while she waited for Atoxon to open the door, she thought about the wedding (she was picturing a wedding in Orzio) and life as the Empress of Orzio, a life that she never expected she would have.
Atoxon laughed a little when she asked him about his first name. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you this before: it is tradition in Orzio that when someone becomes Emperor, they take only one name, which is usually a previous ruler or the traditional family name. My last name was Atoxon originally, though at one time I was also known as Xani (ooc: pronounced Zani). In the past, some Emperor's have let family and close friends address them with their previous name, though not all have. I will let you decide how you wish to address me, whether it be Xani or Atoxon, or something else more suitable to our new status." He smiled a warm smile at her.
When she came back the next morning, he was dressed and ready to give the good news. He opened the door and kissed his fiance. "I think that, given where we are staying, we should let your king and queen hear the news first. I'm sure that they will be most happy to know about this. It will also give us time on the walk to find them to discuss some things, such as where will the ceremony take place. I feel that, since I met you here and we got engaged here, that the ceremony should take place here as well, with it broadcast live to my country of course. If you wish to have the ceremony elsewhere, please let me know."

"I think I will call you Atoxon. I think it is a nice name for you. Also, I believe the King and Queen will be amazed that we will be married." Cecile said while they walked through the corridors of the palace. While they walked, a thought of that kiss came into Cecile's mind but she began to think that she would kiss Atoxon before they went on their honeymoon. While they walked together, Cecile began to talk about the ceremony with her royal fiancee.
"I think the ceremony, Atoxon, should take place in Orzio and that it should be broadcasted live in Skamania and Duloc. I look forward to seeing Orzio, Atoxon." Cecile said with a smile. An hour passed before they were able to see the King and Queen of Skamania and Duloc. Cecile looked at Atoxon and smiled before whispering: "You can tell them, Atoxon."
Cecile was silent while she waited for Atoxon to tell the King and Queen (who were silently waiting to hear what Atoxon had to say) about the marriage. While she waited, she thought about what the King and Queen's reaction could be. She also thought about the ceremony and thought about Orzio: the nation she would be living in as a monarch which was something she never expected.
Atoxon bowed slightly when Cecile and he were led before the King and Queen, to show them the respect they deserved. "Your majesties, I have enjoyed my time here more than I can ever say in words. The nation you have built and run is majestic, vast, and holds many beauties, of which I can only hope that my country can one day have as well. And it is a testiment to your character that you have given me the services of a fine tour guide in Cecile. In fact, she was the finest woman I have ever met, and that is why I am excited to tell you that I have asked for her hand in marriage, and she has agreed. I am of course elated, and hope that you are as well. You are truely wonderful hosts, and I can never repay you for your hospitality while in your country. I hope that this is good news for you as well, and that you will bless this event. Our nations are now on the threshold of a glorious age of cooperation and prosperity."
Atoxon bowed again once he was done with his mini-speech, hoping that he had said all the right words to the King and Queen.

After King Louis gave his speech to Atoxon, Cecile looked at Atoxon and began to speak. "When will we have our wedding?" Cecile asked curiously.
"I had thought that it would be good to do after I've finished touring, when we can both return to Orzio. That will probably be in a few weeks, so that will give time for everyone to prepare and things to be ready. Is there anything you wish to have arrainged, or specifically in the ceremony?"

"We will use these weeks to get ready and prepare for the ceremony. There is nothing special, at the moment, Atoxon, that we would like but if we do have something: we will tell you about it."
Cecile looked at Atoxon with a smile as they walked back to his guest room. "Atoxon, when will you be leaving?"
"My plan is to leave in the morning and head to Greal, though they may have to wait since I've heard they are having some troubled times. But this should not be a sad time, merely a time to collect what you need in order to continue your life in Orzio as the Empress. Of course, it is also the time you should take to tell your friends and those that you would want to be with you in Orzio when we get married. Tell whom ever you like, they will all be invited, even if it means I personally have to send my plane to transport them.
Tonight though, let us keep each other's company and have a feast here in the palace. That is of course, if the King is agreeable with this idea."

"While you are gone, Atoxon, I shall collect what I need to continue my life in Orzio and tell my family and friends about the wedding. We should keep each other's company tonight. If I may ask, Atoxon, will you pick me up and take me to Orzio....when you have finished touring other nations?" Cecile looked at Atoxon with a smile before walking away to begin collecting her personal items.
"I would not mind you being with Cecile tonight, my friend. I see no problems with that." King Louis said before everyone went to their rooms to prepare for the night's feast. When the moon took the sun's place in the sky, a feast made for royalty began with all sorts of delicious food and drink and all sorts of good wishes for Cecile and Atoxon being made. Cecile, dressed in the best dress she could find, sat next to Atoxon and enjoyed herself at the feast.
When it all ended, Cecile and Atoxon walked together to his guest room and she gave him a smile. "You were at first a visitor and now you are my fiancee. May our marriage be a good marriage." Cecile walked away and went to her guest room. In the morning, Atoxon would be given time to prepare for his departure.
The night was quick and long, if it can be understood that way. Atoxon was restless but didn't feel tired. He supposed it was nerves somehow, adreline keeping him antsy as morning came and the sun rose through his windows. His things had been packed the night before by his entourage, and it was finally time to go.
His shoes clacked on the hallway floor as he and his group walked towards the palace enterance where they would take transport to the airport. He hoped that Cecile would meet him at the door to say goodbye. It would probably be a few weeks before he would see her in person again, though he would call and even video conference with her as much as he could, to decide wedding details that always crop up. When he reached the door, he saw her standing there, looking as beautiful as ever. He didn't speak a word when he walked up to her, instead staring into her eyes and then giving her a quick soft kiss on her lips. "That is for you to remember until we see each other again." And with that, he hugged her, then got in the car which started moving as soon as he was in the vehicle. It was not a long drive to the airport, and the jet was already spooled up. He had another nation to visit, and though he was looking foward to it, he was sad to leave Skamania and Duloc, the nation that had given him his wife.
