Because every good thread needs one.

I am assuming this map is correct, as I'm basing my fleet moving into position off of it.

Just a heads-up, my nation is just to the south of the southern edge of that map. Otherwise, it's the most up-to-date map of Nova Europa available.

Oh, and kudos on the smart idea of making this OOC thread.

Aye, good idea on making the OOC thread BEFORE the trouble starts. I'm relieved to see that your fleet hasn't arrived yet, Nova. I guess the initial skirmish will be over by the time it gets anywhere near the continent.

TWSP, Wanderjar, TPF, do you guys have more detailed maps of your nations? Thanks.

I do. I've actually got four. The concepts behind them are still under construction, but I'll explain (albeit very briefly):

Each of the "sections" is a fiefdom ruled by a nobleman. More or less a mayor/governor. He is almost always an Officer in the military, at the Division, Corps, or even Army level, though almost none below Brigade command. Yes, my Government is a Socialistic Military Autocracy, imagine that....

To be completely honest I think the most interesting theater is going to be Naasha fighting Maldorians.....But if theres no Thermopylae reference or scenario I'm going to be sorely dissapointed. :p

WJ, so your cities, roads, etc. are essentially in the same places as RL Europe, just with the 3.1 size ratio?

Yep! :D

Dandy. TWSP, TPF, if it's the same for either of you, let me know, that could save a big hassle.

Actually I was going to put my fleet at 5 hours away from north of TFU but waited till I saw if it was correct map wise before putting that bit up, I'll propably end up arriving on the tail end of the initial engagement, depending on how our little kettle of political intruige goes on.

There's one in my signature.

Not very complete, but I made it during the rush of the Confederate invasion, so yeah, it's quite old =p

You don't have a map anymore then it seems, the image doesn't exist anymore :p

BTW could somebody redo that map with a colour key of who is which alliance, it helps to know whats going on with the internal politics.

Funny you should ask, Novacom:

Green represents the NEA
Red represents the Eastern Powers
Orange represents nations aligned with the EP although not officially part of it.
Grey represents nonaligned nations (presumed neutral)

Also, reminder to TWSP, Naasha and Siriusa, MacKenzie is expecting replies to his concerns in the teleconference...
Maldorians

Well, because Naasha is mobilizing, I must respond in kind. The nice thing is, if war breaks out, he will be fighting not Maldorians, yet rather, Colonial Soldiers of my vassal states...:O

OOC: Also, I'll be there, and probably pick a side, although I'm not saying which. There better be a bridge of ships across the Aegaen, a Marathon scenario, wall at Corinth, etc.

Of course, it has to start with an invasion of ancient Ionia by Naasha only to be reclaimed by Mal...

In short, read up on the Greco-Persian Wars (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greco-Persian_Wars).

Hmm, interesting a region pretty much split in 4, this does look like a very interesting little powder keg, as from the looks of things it's going to be everyone v everyone.

Is this thread MT only, or are PMT people allowed too? I see a few familiar names here, so I thought I'd ask.

More to the point, I've been wanting to take a more active stance against Doomingsland IC for a while now, and this seems a good time >_>
Trivalvia

I believe the bulk of the NEA is MT. I cannot speak for the Eastern Powers.

Novacom: try 3-way split. :) I doubt Spectare or Quadesh would take up arms against the EP. I only differentiate because their alliances are more informal/implied/de facto rather than official.

AN: I'm kinda late MT/early PMT, if that makes any difference. And if Novacom and Vontanas are joining in, I don't really see a reason as to why you wouldn't be able to, unless the MT/PMT thing causes trouble.

But then again, I don't speak for the whole of Nova Europa.

And FYI, guys, I'm not sure if Ezaltia is involved in this conflict at all... I haven't seen him either online or IRL recently, so I wouldn't be able to tell.

Was Actually referring to the split of alliances and then the neutral nations, it'll be very interesting seeing how this goes now actually, though Axis I think your gonna need a better excuse than I wanna have a go at Doom, otherwise uit'll throw a spanner in the nice tempo and balance thats developing.

I am PMT, however I am restraining myself greatly, and cutting out anything Orbital based bar intelligence satalites, and saving it for later to prevent arguments breaking out as story not tech should prevail in this.
