In light of shared concerns over nuclear proliferation, aggression wars and terrorism, President Reagan formally announces the proposal for a new alliance, Team America.

The goals of Team America will 3 fold.
1. We will use all means necessary to combat terrorism around the world.
2. We will oppose nuclear proliferation via political and economic pressure. If the nation acquiring nuclear weapons is involved in attacking another nation, we will discuss the use of force to defend the defending nation against nuclear attack.
3. The alliance will defend new nations from being unjustly attacked by bigger nations.

OOC: Iwould love to join, but I have tens of thousands of Peacekeepers and other nuclear weapons.

Kulikovia will oppose Team America wherever they rear their head. It is a gross capitalistic front and we will check against Team America wherever they decide to operate!

The nation Isate and its vassals, Isata and Ifmaka, will oppose all attempts of Team America to make us abandon our future plans of nuclear proliferation, and refuse to accept your hegemony.

The Ryous declares "Team America" a Terrorist Group and will form it's own team to stop Team America.

Around the office we are also placing bets as to whether you intend to knock down the Eiffel Tower, and we were wondering what your stance on this important issue is.

As an already declared nuclear power, you can keep your nukes. The goal is to oppose proliferation, not to disarm nations that already have nukes.

It is simply and imperialistic and stupid front designed to scope out colonies and exploit it. We Condemn this alliance and anyone who joins it and in protest cut off what little trade we have with the USA.

The United States government is exercising its power of eminent domain and seizing control of the name "Team America" from the private firm Paramount Pictures, in the name of national security.
We have no intention of knocking down the Eiffel Tower, the Europeans are important trade partners.
We view combat operations as a last resort.

The United States has no desire for colonies. We only seek to help nations defend themselves against terrorits. American forces will not deploy to foreign lands in counter terror operations unless the nation targeted by the terrorists specifically requests it.

We regret that Fordock has chosen to close trade relations and prefer that they would have taken a more constructive approach.

All nations who are members have an equal voice. The alliance will not act unless there is unanimous consent from all member states. The United States is not and has never been the world's policeman. The United States does, however, have the right to defend its interests and those of its allies.
One of the major goals of Team America is to protect smaller nations from being unjustly attacked by larger nations. If a member of Team America unjustly attacks a smaller nation, whether it be the US or any other member, the alliance would not help them but would kick them out of the alliance whereby severing ties with them. The United States is as subject to these rules as anyother member state.

The National Sozialist Reich of Lyncanthropia opposes to the creation of this alliance. Here I only see a man hungry for power and trying to lure other nations to his federalism, for future gains. With all due respect but I see you as a terrorist that tries to fight terrorist, and prive other nations to have Nuclear weapons when yours has.

The United States is not closed as to the naming of the alliance. Any name for the alliance would have to recieve at least a simple majority support. The point of the proposal is to open up dialogue with nations who share our concerns. The name Team America is not set in stone.

Official Statement from TSRT
"While the Totalitarian State has taken no stance on any of the international issues of the United States, we have decided to take a stance on the United States itself.

We suggest they watch their back, for we may decide, at some future point, to 'acquire' some of their more econmically rich areas.

Just a fair warning for them not to get too big for their britches."
