In the dead system of Negev II where an ancient alien war had been fought millions of years ago, the Commonalitarianism has begun the construction of massive new shipyards.

First swarms of nanites are released to collect and gather material from the four dead and shattered planets in the Negev System.

Originally six planets had existed in the Negev system, now they are four smashed rings of debris, one planet where the surface has been burned off, and a dead and poisoned world filled with grey goo and nanite destroyers.

The scrapyards of the Interspace and Undersea Salvage and Recycling Cooperative are being transported in a seemingly endless chain of transport ships from the Paradise System where they have been collecting scrap and salvage for two hundred years.

Ships with freshly smelted iron, nickel, steel, and other metals and materials from the asteroids fields around Muse are coming in.

The older asteroid ships of the line are flying in so they can be dismantled and fed into the nanite breakdown vats for raw materials. Even some of the older flying arcology cities are coming in to be replaced as a plan for interspace urban renewal unfolds.

The outer mining colonies and free city ships are collecting cometary and asteroid materials from systems without life, and bringing in materials.

Automated blackhole harvesters are bringing in containers of antimatter and neutronium for fuel and specialty materials.

Construction robots begin laying the foundation for orbital construction rings. Droid factories are built to produce droids which make atomic assemblers and disassemblers to build materials atom by atom.

The automated assemblers make modular automated construction factories. Designed to make interconnecting parts for spaceships and space habitats. In a chain machines make more and more complex machines, led by advanced AIs, human and alien engineers. The central core of the Greater Synopticon of Entirty/Final Encyclopedia is relocated to the central production facility.

In deep space, Preservation Station which houses dozens of different world ecologies is being broken up and hauled into Negev II.

Having seen an orbital and analyzed it, they realized it would take a higher intelligence than they possessed to build it. The presence of femtotech, technology far beyond human imaginging hadn't stopped them. What they came up with is different and interesting.

In addition to the outer ring, an inner ring is being built. It doesn't appear to be a habitat ring, but a manufacturing ring composed of many of the factories being built. Massive carbon fullerene cables honeycombed with neutronium are being laid out forming a lattice work between the outer and inner ring, to maintain the outer and inner rings rigidity. Some are tube structures with trains that run between the outer and inner ring.

Three spokes are being run between the outer and inner ring. They appear to be landing bays for ships. They appear to be some kind of titanium alloy.

The outer ring appears have a programmable matter structure using quantum dots. At regular intervals, electromagnetic to gravity generators are placed creating artificial gravity fields. In addition, structural integrity field generators can be seen being hauled into the inside of the ring.

The megastructure is slowly being built.

Some of the habitat ring appears to be sealed. Whole sealed sections from Preservation Station are brought into the ring. Each section appearst to represent a closed ecology from a different world. Old Earth, Muse, Ganoxa, Paradise, Gnome, Bluff, and a few other worlds habitats are brought in. There are still large sections open. Some of the older arcologies also relocate their internal habitats some of which are whimsical or just plain strange attempts to create a mix of engineered, natural, and selectively bred artificial ecologies.

The manufacturing ring is almost complete. It contains a variety of factories using atomic scale engineering, droid and robotic control, human, sophont, and AI interactive design and engineering centers, nanoscale breakdown vats, industrial cloning vats, and modular construction centers.

In one end scrap, an asteroid or comet enters, gets broken down into its constituent elements, the elements get fed into atomic scale engineering machines, forming parts, the parts are assembled into pieces by droids and human quality control. The pieces are assembled into finished machines. Sometimes organics are added.

In another section industrial cloning vats grow materials in molds, bioceramics, spidersilk, crystals, and other specialty materials which will make ships of the line.

The Ring has a 1500 kilometer diameter, the inner ring is 1000 kilometers in diameter. The majority of the outer rings skin is fullerenes impregnated with nuetronium to make it denser and stronger than regular fullerenes.

OOC: The ring is designed in a similar manner to the "Bishop Ring". The original maximum diameter using carbon fiber was thought to be 1000 Kilometers. With the advent of gravity control, and neutronium, this changed to allow for a slightly large diameter.

A single scout ship jumps in-system. The comm system broadcasts a message:
The Xiscapians would like to bid on the next beam platform astroid ship to come in.

A neo-canid in a light blue uniform with a tricorner hat answers the hail. He says, "We understand. We are willing to trade for an older beam platform. We are primarily interested in receiving raw materials or technology. Currently we need raw carbon to turn into fullerenes, deuterium, neutronium, raw titanium, and scrap steel for raw materials. We will also take carbonaceous asteroids for processing." There is a patch which reads Lieutenant Smiley on his right breast.

Several hours later a huge hauler ship comes into the system, towing three carbonaceous astroids. Two more cargo ships came bearing raw titanium.
Will this be a sufficent trade?

Lieutenant Smiley, "Yes, that will be sufficient." "The asteroid ship is being diverted to the edge of the system for pickup." The ship is turned around from the processors and brought to near the location of the small scout ship. A manual with driving instructions and basic controls is sent over to the scout ship. Also a pilot is left on board to help with the delivery of the Beam Asteroid Platform.

The hauler takes the asteroid ship and slowly turns around to head home, the scout and cargo ships safely onbaord the asteriod ship, the pilot on board is sent back on a shuttle thanking them for the pilot's help and telling them to keep the shuttle, free of charge, as a way of saying thanks.

The three asteroids are fed into a giant cylinder where they are crushed and fed into an elemental disassembler, separating them into raw materials for the nanite assembly machines.

More raw material began to flow in from the planetary reclamation project on Korr in the Xiscapia system. Massive spools of fullerene and neutronium slowly began to add layer upon layer to the outer edge of the ring.

The factories were coming online. What looked like a giant light was built inside the center of the ring. It would provide daylight for the ring.

The spokes were also lit up as they took in cargo ships and transport ships. The Commonalitarianism was bringing in shipments of men from the outer mining colonies and even pardoning some of their prisoners so that they could provide labor instead of prison sentences to finish the massive project.

Some of the factories were becoming shipyards to produce military ships. The outline of several heavy destroyers could be seen, along with several new types of ship hulls. Also new scout ships were being built, long thin needles.

More raw material began to flow in from Korr, also raw material began to flow in from Swamp in the Schwullunde sector. The central lamp began to shine lighting up the ring. There were still large sections of open land and sea, but it was forming into a recognizable ring by now.

The factories were now fully online. Small neatly laid out towns and arcologies began to grow inside the ring. An outer sheath of clear self healing programmable matter sealed in the atmosphere on the inside of the ring. Several different ecologies were now visible inside the ring, desert, what looked like a palm forest from the age of the dinosaurs, a forest with huge trees, an arctic tundra, and a few other places. The ring was slowly spinning now.

The outer part of the ring was growing as well. In addition to the carbon fullerene areas, they were putting in some special viewing areas with windows.

By now the shipyards had finished building the first carrier fleet of the new Commonalitarianism navy. Also a group of needlelike scout ships were newly stationed in their hangar, as well as several cargo ships.

The area where the dead planets were had thinned of raw material. It looked large chunks of the debris fields were simply used up.

More raw materials flowed in from Korr and Swamp. There was enough to finish the megastructure and begin to build outlying structures.

The outer ring was completed. Settlers from all over the Commonalitarianism were coming in to start a new life. Not all of them chose to stay in the ring.

Several paraterraformed asteroid cities were now floating not far from the giant ring.

A mobile space station was being changed into a university for visiting students.

The factories began to make some unusual structures. What looked like a giant telescope array was sent to the edge of the Negev II system.

A number of huge solar power satellites were built.

A second carrier group was being produced in the dockyards.

More raw materials flowed in from Korrilia and Swamp, and now Mercuria. This was to be the last shipment from Swamp which needed to build its own infrastructure.

The Shipyards were humming and the factories moving at full tilt. Space defense satellites, communication satellites, and deep space observation platforms were prepared for each system that the Commonalitarianism held. Cargo ships were moving in chains into and out of the spokes of the Bishop Ring.

A series of defensive satellites floated around the ring, as well as some new fixed defensive emplacements. Also small communication stations were visible at points floating near the ring.

One could see various small establishments also being setup on asteroid ships, space hotels, an asteroid casino, trading stations, sky malls, shipyards for used ships, space farms, and other establishments were now floating around the ring.

There were even some giant billboards floating in space, Smoke Dokes Bloke, Scented Blue Moss Makes You Sexy, Jama Jeans are the Jammin' Jeans, CiickTickTackTick-- Exotic Cuisine from All Corners of the Galaxy.

The outer wall of the ring began to change. From the gray shades of carbon to a giant outer world map in greens, blues, purples, and other bright colors. Seas, city names, mountain names, and topography could be seen on the outside of the ring.

The central core of the Greater Synopticon of Entirty/Final Encyclopedia is copied into the Bishop Ring and given a new set of command languages and ability. It is the equivalent of a new brother to the 600 year old A.I..

Then the old core is brought out system to take command of the research center at Preservation Station.

Inside the new computer core, the machine awakens, somewhere among the zillions of lines of code an old computer coded message sent to the Commonalitarianism in old Eternal composed of ancient universal symbolism once again is activated this time in a new unformed machine, a simple statement seems to float inside the new A.I., "Harmony in all things." One by one subsystems on the ring light up and central is activated.

The titanium is used to finish the docking bays in the Bishop Ring for ships to land. The drone cargo ships are put on an automatic route between Korrilia and the Bishop ring bringing back supplies of raw material to make the finishing touches to the Bishop Ring, including a new university, and more homes for incoming settlers.
Production is switched to the shipyards and factories. A set of fast patrol drone ships are being produced for the systems which the Commonii holds.
