Bellom

A sword, a sword is sharpened
And also polished!
10 Sharpened to make a dreadful slaughter,
Polished to flash like lightning!
Should we then make mirth?
It despises the scepter of My son,
As it does all wood.
11 And He has given it to be polished,
That it may be handled;
This sword is sharpened, and it is polished
To be given into the hand of the slayer.
-Ezekiel 21:9-11

As the sun slowly broke the tops of the mountains, I was already awake and at the alter of Kreigos. The preist sacrificed three lambs for me today, yet it did not sooth the seething in my soul. As I looked on, an undesirable was brought to me. I spit in his face, for not only was this man an undesirable, but he was also crippled. This man was not worth the title of slave. I ordered him out of my sight, and relaxed in the fact that he was not my problem.

Later in the day, I began to think about my encouter earlier. It was my problem. As ruler of Bellom, it was my job to keep the undesirables under our feet. We were the House of Elitos, and we ruled the cities. There were houses under us, and beneath us all were the undesirables. Niggers, Spics, and the plagued made up the majority of these. Those of Asian descent had once been deemed undesirable, but their quest for knowledge and later attainment of it had freed them of this title. However, in recent years, the undesirables had increased in number. While basic trade principles with a valuable ally had rid us of some, there are still to many. Far to many.

It was then that I decided that it was time. Time to introduce Bellom onto the international stage, to show our true strength. I brought in my Highest General, who commanded the second strongest branch of the army. I ordered Elezear James to round up a number of the undesirables, perhaps 500. Not only would this serve as a message to the external world, but I had shaped this into an internal message. Just as in the time of my father, the undesirables were attempting to revolt. I told James to nab many of their key members, as a warning.

By the end of the week, the undesirables were gathered. I carefuly documented the throwing of them into a large bunker with a video camera. My slave filmed the whole event. I turned to him and had him zoom in on the middle of the bunker. There, amidst the bodies, was a large bomb. Not just any bomb, this one was nuclear. The first of its kind in Bellom. As the slave zoomed out, I stepped in front and began to speak.

"Long have these undesirables plagued our lands. Today, those unfit for labor or restless revolters have been gathered to show Bellom's commitment to keeping the Elitos in command. No longer shall these men rise up against us. As leader of Bellom, I, King Sanford, will not stand for this. Behind me you see them. They suffer greatly, and the gods are pleased. Observe as we send their souls to Gastor, to the very depths of Osatom."

In the protected area, I pressed the button to detonate the bomb. Though contained within the bunker, a small mushroom cloud formed. The undesirables were no more. I had the slave return to filming me. "Let no man question our commitment."

I then had my subordinates distribute the recording to the major media stations in the world, and uploaded it to a free video website. Within minutes, millions would know the power of Bellom. I could feel it swelling up within me. But al the glory was not for me alone. I bowed my head and sent up a few words to Kreigos, our protector, and Himmelas, the guardian of the skies. Then, clear cut, a voice from heaven spoke to me. If any shall hate your message, it said, cut through them like a knife does butter. Show no mercy. Remember, I am with you. It only made my mind clearer and my focus more determined.

Well, it is essentially a propoganda tool. The soldiers actually do believe in these gods, but they fight harder and have stronger morale due to their knowledge that the gods are behind them. Who are these Freeks you speak of?

I laughed when I saw the sole reply that I had recieved from this video. It was not even a condemnation, which made it all the more hilarious. Perhaps it had not drawn the attention of the international audience, or perhaps they knew the true might of Bellom and her gods. I sat down to write a message in response to the government of RedTide, which had been so nice as to warn me about a nation or group of people known as the Freeks. Freeks be damned, none can stand to the power of my rule. I put pen to paper, and the words reflected my mood.

Official Reply from the King

These men, no, they were not men, they were less than that, were fated to be undesirables from birth. We may not have realised it at the time, but they were less than us, beneath the House of Elitos, beneath even our own slaves. These things were the weak, both in mind, spirit, and physicality, and as such Gastor removed them of their lives. As for these Freeks you speak of, who are they to come against me and my kingdom? If they dared come against Bellom, their soldiers would break like water on a dam, and Bellom would repel them with ease. Kriegos is my guard, my shield, and Himmelas my sword. While they favor me, I shall not falter.

As I sent back my response, I smiled well pleased at the work I had accomplished that day. I saw my wife entering, and smiled. It had been too long since I had last opened myself to her.

"My Lord, have you seen this?" a servant asked
"What is it my friend?" The emperor answered with a calm voice
"I belive it is a message from a nation called Bellom. They have chosen to reveal themselves to the world adfter a long time of isolation."
"Very well, let´s see what they have to say"

The Emperor turned to watch the film. The Prisoners. The Bunker. The Blast.
"Very Well...contact The Herald of the Empire. I want him to travel to Bellom and to in person deliver my answer."

A Few hours later, the Herald was en route to Bellom. The message he was carrying was simple. It was a strong condemnation, written by the emperor himself.

OOC: AutoMagFreek(or just AMF) is one of the best roleplayers here, he is also a highly militarised nation whose name generally gets around. I dont really know if he actually would attack you(he(ICly) might consider your nation small fry), but he is fervently anti-slavery.

I wont make an IC post as I dont have alot of IC material too reply to(at least, not one thats IC for my nation).

Greetings
My druids looked on with concern at the technology that you use to sacrifice to your gods, I do ask that you forgive them, they can be quite traditionalist some of them just cannot cope with progress, they say if you're not going to use a sickle or a strangling cord whats the point.
My general was distressed as well, another nation grown fat and cowardly he said, I admonished him in your name.
Now a gift
Its a simple thing really. A short sword, nicely balanced, good honest steel, not very decorative, a killing blade.
When you find your courage again perhaps you will use it to kill a warrior, face to face like a man. Till that time, should it ever arrive, let it hang upon your wall as a constant reminder of the victories you acrue killing those unable to fight back.

May the Goddess watch over you

My day today started off very interesting. I was awoken by my servant who informed me of a messenger from a foreign land. An unimportant one at that. I was angered, and it was all I could to not to strangle the man wth my own hands. Had this uncivilised nation never heard of email? I read the message delivered unto my hands, and laughed it off. These men were fools. I told the man to return to his home, and to never wake me at such an ungodly hour again. I returned to bed for a few more hours before it was time for my day to actually begin.

It was nearly noon when I recieved this package. The nerve of these men! To so insult my honor my nation's dignity, our honor. This you can not do. I crafted my response to their nation, and summoned my Generals. I ordered them to form up the armys, and I sent off my message.

Official Reply from the King

I must admit that I find that your package cuts me to the core. However, this does not bode well for you. You have incurred my wrath, and for this you will not stand. My armys will ravage your lands, and my planes will crush you in your weakness. Kreigos is my guard, Himmelas my sword. With them i shall smite you without thinking twice. When your head rests severed in the hands of your limp corpse, let it be a reminder to the world that no one insults our honor.

Queen Morrigan read the king of Bellom's missive it warmed her.

She called a scribe and dictated a reply

Majesty
You are willing to go to war over honour, I am impressed, there is little enough of the commodity in this world.
On behalf of my people and my Goddess I greet and thank you. It has been many centuries since the blood of an invader has bathed my countries soil.
My warriors stand ready.
Morrigu yearns for the slaughter, Mighty Lug patron of war has long waited for new glories to amuse him.
but before such things occur, I ask a boon. invite me to your country so that as one homourable leader to another we can meet. Once battle commences i doubt our advisors will allow us too near the field of battle for us to meet there. I would like to meet the man who plans to stand over my corpse.
I await your response

I laughed as I read the Queens response. Perhaps she was only foolish, but then again, perhaps not. At that moment, an idea came to my mind.
Official Reply from the King

If you so desire, this can be arranged, however, I have a better idea. You shall send your greatest warrior and I shall bring mine. They shall meet in a battle to the death, and shall not be armed with anything besides a sword. The losers nation shall be the subjects of the winners nation. What say you to this proposal? Wither way, Kreigos will protect Bellom, but this way your lands will not be scourged by the blazing inferno that escapes from the mouth of Gastor. Himmelas will stand guard to ensure the protection of you while you are visiting, and I shall provide a servant for you in the likeness of Diligos to fulfill your desires. What say you?

Sanford
King of the City-State Confederation of Bellom

As I sent off the message, I prayed that she would not accept. If only to devestate her nation by the hand of Kreigos. But, I knew she would accept. Despite this, I was not worried, for none can stand against our hero.

Interesting letter, she re read it liking it.

Majesty

I accept, like a contest of old we shall pit champion against champion.

I accept your hospitality.

Morrigan

The Grand Druid was not a happy man. "Queen Morrigan is this wise, you have no champion the loss in life trying to choose one has always been too high, who..." Then in dawned on him. "Majesty no I forbid it"
"You forbid it, You forget your place Cathbad, I am queen, I am warchief of the Sessair. You would rather the Goddess be ravaged by foreign godlings, I am Her chosen. I have the blood of Scathach in my veins, I am the Spearrach Carden, the Living Sword of Aifa, you would shame me?
'But majesty their gods are nothing, their weapons nothing, upon these sacred lands we are supreme, The very land will fight for us, our warped warriors..The Red Branch, they stand ready, majesty please your people want this war"
"It is for those reasons we will accept this challenge, there is no honour in defeating a lesser foe. A duel on this kings land would be fair, now no more talk Cathbad, you worry like a maiden on her wedding night, have the royal sky blade made ready, our finest crew men to man her. Choose a suitable gift for their king, Dragon skulls perhaps, after all everyone likes diamonds.
"Will you require a body guard, your usual four will want to attend you?"
"Hmm i forgot about them, no! Drug them with the juice of poppy seed, then chain them up, keep them doped till I return. If those four get away from you then Lug knows what mayhem they will cause, now begone"

The reception of the Herald had been shockingly rude.
A foregin diplomat could atleast expect some sort of etiquette forced treatment.
And the judging of Vestern States as an uncilivized nation?
The Heral had been furious over it. A natio, witch tests nuclear weapons on slaves, called Vestern States "uncivilized"

An that [i]If any shall hate your message, it said, cut through them like a knife does butter. Show no mercy. Remember, I am with you.[/y] nonesense talk...if interpreted litterly, it could very well be a declareation of war against any nation who opposed it´s ways.
Maybe this could be favoruble after all...

As the plane roared throuth the air back to Vestern States, the Herald turned to he´s aid.
"I want you to send a message to the Emperor. Tell him that the leader of Bellom outrigth refuses any sort of diplomatic talks about the horrible ways he´s people are treated. I will send my personal report as soon as it is complete"

The E-Mail was read by the Emperor a few minuits later.
"Call for the Council. We migth have a tyrant nation on our hands"
