The Lands of the Northic Peninsular Region were long under the control of a weak state known as the Kand. The Republic of Kand was ruled by a weak central government and had very high capitalistic views, but during a brief revolution, the most powerful corporate syndicate in the region, the Schroeder Northic Trade Co., established themselves as the ones in power and took the reigns of control over the region.
The Company raised the standard of living greatly, establishing a massive shipbuilding industry to assist the fishermen and in turn the merchants that benefit from the seas. Resources are in pretty good supply, though there have been talks over expansion lately in the higher up parts of the company.
The leader, Herr Franz Adolphus-Karlshorst is very well respected by the population due to his very fair policies and respect to smaller merchant companies that allow for competition in the nation.
The Military, the Schroeder Corporate Security Force, is somewhat small but well-trained. It has an average Ground Force, who are mainly there to act as a police force in the cities or on border duty, an above-average Sky Fleet, composed of small planes and Zepelins for anti-ship missions, and a superior Navy who's main mission is to fend off pirates from the merchant shipping, though the corporate heads have decided that a deal with the largest pirate clans may be a good idea.
The main industries are shipbuilding and arms production, with fishing being a major chunk of the economy at 70% of the GDP.
