The Duke of Böre Regiment has established a forward base in the North-West of Narrven, and awaits the arrival of the Ibënladst Fusiliers for support before they begin their campaign (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=540781) southward. The Fusiliers are expected to arrive inside of two days, and the 1sta Jägeren Alpin have been reported to already be nearing their starting objective.

Largest Pole-Caught Fish Angled Ashore in Wurstburg, says SDNR

Representatives of the Schroeder Department of Natural Resources arrived in Herr Gustav Heinz's town, Wurstburg, and observed the fish. Dimensions were taken to make a replica to put in the natural history museum and many pictures were snapped, as well as a feast ceremony where Herr Heinz was awarded a placard and a Monetary Certificate of NM100 (One Hundred Normarks). "I couldn't believe my eyes!" said an exstatic Gustav Heinz. "I was sitting on the back of my friend's boat, trolling the straights near Wurstburg with a Kromm Blinding Bay Eel Spinner on the line when I felt a massive hit! Three and a half hours later, we landed the beast and brought it into town." After the said fishing tackle was revealed to be the one used to catch the monster, Kromm reported a ten percent rise in sales of the tackle. Wurstburg declared the day a local holiday.

Herr Franz Adolphus-Karlshorst's Speech to the Public, Griswall

Today, we have been confronted with the issue of refugees coming in from the West. They are cold, miserable, and scared. Being a civilized, prosperous nation, we cannot allow these people to simply die in the cold and be killed off by raiders, which leads me to my current decision on the matter. We will allow the refugees into the country. I am well aware of the complaints and worries of the people in Griswall and Anhalt-Gurschewitz, and your objections have been taken into account. We will be establishing two refugee camps, one outside of Grubenwall, and one outside of Ramstall (The two northern large towns in Anhalt-Gurschewitz). The refugees will be forced to learn Nordeutsch and take a career placement test before becoming a citizen as well. I have also taken it upon myself to ensure that the influx of new workers is fairly equal among professions in order to prevent loss of jobs of skilled workers who have stood their posts for generations. The only profession in which a large influx will be is the mining industry in the East since it is small as it is and requires more workers.

As for the military, a Foreign Guard unit is being created with 16,000 refugees who will be trained by the Ground Force and put into service in large refugee-populated areas to start with, but will eventually be placed in regular assignment areas. They will be equipped with older model Ludz SIR-M98 Rifles (The SIR-M2 without a straight-pull bolt and a slightly longer barrel and overall length). I must ask the people to accept our new friends, neighbors and brothers into our lands and show them kindness, for after a short period of time, the overall economy and standard of living will increase due to their presence. The Company will deal with this situation in a progressive and fair manner, as per our usual policy towards the treatment of our people in a civilized way. Thank you.

Shakal City

The Empress met with the warlords that approached her. She decided to try and reach a compromise. Instead of a solid deal in either direction the choice was made to offer the weapons in exchange for the right of Shakal expansion north and south along the coastal regions. If accepted the barbarians would recieve the weapons.

Herr Adolphus-Karlshorst Sends envoy to meet with Pirates, Officials Report

A messenger boat set sail for Ralaneheim Isle earlier today with an envoy representing the Schroeder Northic Trade Co. They are scheduled to meet with the pirate group known as The Seahound Clan of Pirates in an attempt to make a deal of some sort with them, though the exact details are largely unreported.

"We are coming to a new age," said The President (Hr. Adalphus-Karlshorst), "An age in which The Pirate Clans and The Company must coexist to create a more powerful entity, one which will have the power to bend international trading to our will and earn more money for the economy. Should they accept our terms, both of us will prosper, though if they decline, the [Pirate Clans] will fall at the hands of the SCSF."

Three days into the campaign:

Leaving a garrison of one battalion from each regiment in the far north, positioned at Lasden, approximately 250 kilometres west and a little north of Böre, the rest of the regiments begin to move south. Here it was suggested that the Narrvish military should let the 1sta Jägeren hound the warlords northward, and let them escape into Solekopno, but was dismissed for a number of reasons: primarily because the regiments had already been committed, but also because the commanding officer, Övarde 1. gr Baörn Gräsven, formerly of the 12te/10nde Infantry (the Duke of Böre's Own) but promoted for this operation, did not relish the concept of explaining to the Solekopnans why they had essentially sent them a gift of marauders.

Dear Officials of the Dolina Valley Taming Operation

It has been a number of months since I ordered that the Dolina valley be utilised by Solekopno, and I am assured the operation is going as planned, with no locals causing major problems.

However, the recent news of a discovery of gold in the valley is both good and bad news. On one hand, the gold will bring much needed funds for my future plans. On the other, a possible gold rush, while bringing new workers to us, will cause plenty of problems. Also, the local warlords still need to be silenced, and while the complete annihilation of them is one of my aims, Solekopno still needs to feed it's populace - I have learnt that certain dissidents have been gaining popularity in recent months. I shall need to consult my finest and best on how to solve this problem, but for the time being, I will pursue the carrot rather than the stick.

I am hereby ordering three forts to be built in the Dolina-Reka Valleys. Two will guard the train bridges, and the third will be built at where the rivers fork - this will be the main abode for any gold hunters. If not, we will simply exploit it ourselves.

A reminder that this letter is for your own eyes only - I am considering setting up a group to deal with threats such as terrorists. The group will be kept out of the public eye. Also, I think we may want to coordinate military movements with our southern neighbour to eliminate one of the principle raiders of this continent. Get back soon.

Official Letter from the Grand Tsar

Dear Officials of the Dolina Valley Taming Operation

It displeases me to hear that a good number of my soldiers deserted. It also displeases me that damned rebels have started their usual damned raiding. May I remind all officers that the penalty for desertion is death, and the same goes for raiders.

I will not let them destroy this operation. Those men will be replaced. Regular air patrols will take place, and each pilot will be armed with a number of grenades, a pistol, and a notebook. These will take notes on any suspicious activity, perhaps even use their grenades to bombard the enemy.

The recent gold rush, although causing many deaths, has revealed to us an interesting situation - that of increased taxes from the recently rich. Therefore, with this new money I have invested in not only managing this new event to prevent problems, but also increase threefold the budget into research on aeroplanes - mainly in the hope of developing aircraft able to use wireless telegraphs (OOC: Early Radio), but I have also have to notion of mounting machine guns on them, among other things. How one will go about doing such things is beyond me, but I do not doubt the use of this.

So men, stay sharp. New soldiers are there if you need them. If you catch any raiders, feel free to do what you will with them. And remember - deserters should be shot.

There is no doubt in my mind that certain threats need to be dealt with that can not be done by the army. Therefore, I am ordering the creation of the Solekopnian Međusaveznički Sigurnost Agencija, or SMSA for short. This will have Two Thousand members, who will look out for major political dissidents and attempt to prevent desertion...

Six days into the campaign:

Öv. Gräsven has called upon the Fraikåren (groups of free-roaming soldiers who had served the Narrvish Confederacy of 1415–1468 and the various successor states thereafter, and were generally supportive of re-uniting the Narrvish states under the Second Narrvish Empire's nationalist banner) in the West to work with the Narrvish Army to 'bring peace and stability at last to this troubled region'. While an effective force in a professional sense, the Army was not trained as well as they perhaps should have been in guerilla warfare, and the insufficiency was showing.

EITC (East India Trade Co.) has builded two universities in the city of Port Edward.

a company named "Le-Vellar Exploration Co." has decided to embark on a journey to find new lands. the ships "Corsior" and "Nimes" will be sent north, each is carrying four hundred soldiers and sailors.

The Schroeder Northic Trade Co. Announces the Creation of the Maritime Privateer Service

Upon hearing the response from the pirates on Ralenheim, The President has ordered the creation of the Maritime Privateer Service which will take the place of what the pirates were set to do. Their missions are classified as of yet, though it is known that it will be made up of retired Naval Infantry and willing Naval Officers and Mariners who are ready to take the chance of a lifetime and enact "extra-legal measures," as put by the Director of the Seas. Their first order of action is to eliminate enemy pirate activity in the immediate area and see if they can convince the swabs if they want to change their mind or not in regards to their previous decision.
