+++The marauding gangs in the west, formed mostly from disillusioned soldiers after the end of the last Narrvish Kingdom, were a gigantic thorn in the side of Narrven in general, and King Äzel II had frankly had quite enough of their chicanery on his turf. He was rather tired of the Mansåvapar's inability to wipe them out and successfully protect the farmers and ranchers past Böre, and he had drafted a final solution to their menace.
+++Royal Directive No. 32, initiated by the King and ratified by the Käkomöte, called for the transfer of two Regiments—the Ibënladst Fusiliers and the 1sta Jägeren Alpin—to Böre to bolster the existing 12te/10nde Infantry Regiment (The Duke of Böre's Own) there. It furthermore directed the three regiments to 'by any means deemed necessary and appropriate', 'eradicate or otherwise subjugate the rabble forever'.
+++The raiders were particularly active in the warmer months (especially around fall and spring), and would retreat into the Malnebardskedjen for the winter. The general plan was to secure the North-West from any incursions from Solekopnan vagabonds, then work southward toward the mountains. The 1sta Jägeren Alpin, specially suited for mountain warfare, would play the anvil by circling around their flank, eventually pinning them to the mountains, and the Ibënladst Fusiliers and 12te/10nde would play the hammer.
