TERROR ATTACK HITS COLSTREAM CAPITAL ASHLAND

Time: 9:38am

Earlier today at 9:34am Colstream Time, a hijacked Colstream Airlines 777 crashed into a 130 storey government building causing severe damage to the building and trapping many civilians above the 96th floor. This is in a government owned complex which handles the electrical power and administration of the government sector. Firefighters have responded to the scene and have started to climb the stairs toward the impact site. This is a deliberate attack against the capital, Ashland and urgent assistance is needed to rescue civilians.

Rapid Terrorist Response Squadron

Within 5 minutes of the news of the terrorist attack, 4 supersonic transport jets lifted off the runway of Liberty Airport.

Once out to sea, they hit the afterburners, screeching to mach 2.5. They would soon arrive at the Colstream antion, where they would be set iinto action quickly to rescue any survivors and prevent any more attacks.

The Rastupin Red Army denies accusations saying, "Any terrorist of our would crash lower in the building."

5 Large Transport jets took from Angaor Two filled with Four National Securty Guards and 3 Filled with the National Fire and Medical Service. Several Angaorian Naval Ships filled with fire and Medical equipment deploy from the Angaorian territory of Palona headed towards Colstream

The captain did not think twice before pressing the red button next to his desk. Alarms sounded through out the ship, "Red Alert. Battle stations, Battle stations this is not a drill!" Then the captain grabbed a microphone and announced, "Emergency Reposes teams report to the heliport." The captain burst out of his office and ran to the heliport. When he arrive he found his teams ready and geared up and the helicopter running. "Men," he shouted over the roar of the helicopter engines, "There has been a terrorist attack on the city of Ashland. There is no time to call headquarters and wait for them to reach a decision. I'm the only one who can be court marshaled for this, not you, but if your still worried, you don't have to go, you can leave right now," he paused and waited for someone to move, no one did. "Good, not I will be contacting the Ashland military command and informing them of your mission. I want you to fly into the city, use the ropes to repel down to the roofs of the affected buildings. When you arrive in the buildings, contact me with your situations and we will go from there."
"Aye, sir," shouted the men as the boarded the helicopter. Seconds later the helicopter lifted off the deck.
The captain rushed to the communications room and contacted the Ashland military command.

A second plane has been shot down by Colstream Air Force fighters as it approached it's target which was the Colstream Parliament building about 6 blocks from the incident at the government complex.

"Wait a minute" her fellow news anchor suddenly exclaims. "There has been developments at the government complex at Valour Square. What has happened Greg?" "Building 2 has collapsed!!!" " What????" she exclaims " What part??" " All of it, the whole building has collapsed!!! There is nothing left of what i can see." It was damaged by the primary explosion. " Oh my god....." The male anchor cuts in. " All those firefighters and emergency personnel, gone........" the Female anchor recovers and suddenly says to the reporter, " What else is happening??" "Well.." came the reply. " There are people running away from the scene and more firefighters and ambulance crews entering the site. I have just heard an evacuation order through the radios to get the rescue workers and remaining civilians out. They want no further loss of life to any civilians and rescue workers below the impact zone." " Thanks Greg", The female anchor replys. " Viewers, we will give more information on this event as it comes in."

The helicopter form the BNS Stórborg hovered over building one, as one of the rescue teamed repelled down the ropes. When they had safely landed on the roof they shot the lock of the roof access door, put they gas masks on and entered the smoke filled building. "Sir, building two has clasped. Are in building one, lots of smoke," reported the team leader to the captain. They descended a few levels when they meet a group of people heading up. They were surprised when they encounter the soldiers. "Who are you," asked one of them. "We're here to help," replied the team leader, "Where are you going?" he asked. "We can't go down so we're going up," replied another person. "O.K., are there more people down there?" asked the team leader. "Yes," replied the first man. "Go to the roof, when you get there the people will help you onto the helicopter," the team leader told them. He radioed the helicopter to prepare to take civilians. Then the team continued down.

When the group of people reach the roof the second team was there to take them up two at a time using the harness. When the final civilian was on board the solders returned to the helicopter.

The rescue team was now nearing the part of the building that was actually burning.

2 of the planes screeched downwards onto the tarmac of the nearest airport, while the other came in low over the city. As it came in range, 18 workers with equipment parachuted downwards towards the wreckage of one of the buildings. They had to stabilise the other structure quickly.

There is a black cloud rushing down Government Street and Valour Street. There has been a total lockdown of the area. The streets had been cleared completely only minutes before this collapse." " Thanks Greg." Jane replies. " News just in. Other Foreign nations have sent rescue services and will probally help look for survivors. We will keep you informed as news comes in."

The captain sat in the communications room listening to the rescue team make period reports.
The team leaders voice crackled over the radio, "Sir, we are now on floor 101, we have found 50 people alive here. We are going to head back up to the roof and hope...," then all there was was static. Two seconds later ",Whoa, the buildings going down the buildings going down," came the voice of the helicopters pilot, over the radio. The captain, clasped on the floor, clutching his heart, the shock of what he had just heard had caused a massive heart attack. The communications officer called a medic, but by the time he arrived it was to late.

The Executive office took command of the ship and recorded the captains death in the ships logs.

"Sir," said the communications officer. "We are picking up a heavily encrypted message. We are recording it and think we may be able to decode it."
"Good work," said the Executive officer. "I want a report on it ASAP."

The men parachuting in landed, cut thier parachutes and ran across the roof of the remaining tower into the interior. They fitted thier ventilators, then pulled out their CO2 fire extinguishers to begin cooling off the fire raging though the building.

They also, as they moved, looked for survivorsk, and fitted emergancy braces to keep the building intact, until the massive external supports being flown in by freighter could be set up.

The helicopter landed in the middle of the road near the ruins of tower one. Two of the men helped the civilians of the helicopter and looked around. The place was empty. While the rest of the team in full rescue gear be gain tearing through the wreckage of the tower, thinking of nothing other than finding they're missing friends.

The Colstream Secret Service and the Colstream Federal Bureau have arrested 3 known terrorists that they have been tracking for around 2 months.They have links to an Anti-Government organisation and have been arrested because they may have information on the people responsible for the terrorist attack. Also we have found survivors near the ruins of Building 1 we don't know who they are but they say they are not civilians or Colstream Personnel.

The men in the wreckage quickly set their personal locators, if they could, and breathed in deeply through the purified air. There were 6 survivors, of who only one could move around. He slowly moved under the weight of the rubble, and saw a crack of light. He desperately struggled, and soon reached the surface. What greeted him was a wasteland of debris.

"This is an emergancy broadcast to Alfegos landed: forget the braces. Bring as much emergancy rescue equipment as you can. Both towers have collapsed. They did not hold."

The Republic Of Colstream has entered a troubled time. Ever since our 2 civil wars we have tried to cope with political dissent in our country. We thought we were succeeding before the attack. We are in chaos. Hospitals are full, the relief effort has stalled due to lack of equipment, patients are dying due to lack of medicine and the rebuilding is hampered because of unstable wreckage. Also the security situation is one of concern. We have divisions on foreign duties which has left us 100 out of 150 divisions availiable. We have 3 out of 5 Colstream Navy Fleets out on tours of duty and we have 8 Fighter Fleets out of 15 away on either tours of duty or exersise and 2 out of 5 Bomber Fleets away on tours of duty. The only units that are mainly here are 2 out of 3 Colstream Spetsnaz Regiments and 2 out of 3 Colstream Marine Commandos Divisions. Also all of our security services are guarding our main Military Headquarters,Installations, Navy Bases, Airbases and civilian structures such as Airports, Ports and Railway Stations. The Colstream Border Guard is also stretched with all of its personnel constantly on duty. Can you help us?

The small Beechcraft C-45 Expeditor touched down at the ASHLAND international airport. Bishop Tom Hellens stepped out of the plane, his two aids, Brothers Jim Hilbrich and Kelly Hanson followed him. A black 1974 Toyota Landcruiser with diplomatic plates was waiting for him. Him and his party got in and rushed off to the incident site.

Good to hear from you. We would like the Divisions you have in Hetuarie to be sent to Ashland. That would be OK as its safe there. Also is it possible to have some cargo helicopters to shuttle equipment to and from Ashland Port to the Disaster Zone at Valour Square? Also we would hope to get some structure supports to hold up Builings 3 and 4 of the complex which are damaged but can be repaired. Can you think of anything else we might need?

The US Congress has approved the aid package with some minor changes. Instead of the original $20 billion the President has requested, they have approved $50 billion. The funds should be available to you to draw upon in the next 5 roleplay days.

The HMPS Grace slipped gracefully into the coastal waters of Colstream. The Captain shouted orders and the operations sprang into action.

Operation Pelican was underway. Two big helicopters went into action.

The Beatusian rescue team was digging through the rubble searching for survivors when one of them pull a dead person from the wreckage. He recognized him as the other rescue team's team leader. Soon after they found the rest of the rescue team, all 15 of them dead.

The man simply knew he had to get these cuffs off. They were making his hands sore.

He found a hair clip in the avenue. He could only guess it had fallen from a side window or someone had dropped it on the way through. He placed it between his teeth and with a few twisting movements, the lock came loose.


Back on the agent's screen, the red dot moved down an alley and turned left. It then carried on and went around in near-complete circle and headed east. The man was quite pleased with himself.

Mr Jones knew he was never going to get out and that these people wouldn't believe a word he said.

The rescue teams were in the lead as they arrived to help other rescue teams. These teams were from the Antigran army divisions still stationed in Hetaurie. The result of being in the army meant extra experience of different scenarios, as well as all the fitness benifits and such.

The debris had nearly been cleared. Can you help clear debris on top of the undamaged buildings as you have specialist equipment?

The PKA CRVs rolled into action, some pulling away rubble, coordinating with the rest to remove all the debris and some ferrying injured survivors to the neares hospital. The PKA had also set up a field hospital with a counselling service.

For the civilain emergency vehicles; ramps, bridges and supports had been laid down to allow them to move esily in and out. Although it was till quite awkward even with this structure.

Some vehicles started up again and drove off to all nearby buildings to help clear the rubble before it hit someone without a hat on.

For the lower buildings, R989A heavy multipurpose crane systems moved into action, with special teams directing their efforts.

For higher buildings, heavy-lift helicopters would have to be used.

McIntyre was standing back, watching the vehicles going about everywhere.

The fightback had begun. The War that had started in Thive had revealed that the people that was suspected to be behind the attack, was hiding there. Also back at the site of the incident at Valour Square, the engineers at the site had started to rebuild the shattered 130 storey towers to its original plans. The foundations were unaffected by the collapse of both buildings sio construction couldbegin immediately. A memorial was also being constructed to remember the people who had been killed, both the Colstream Citizens, rescue personnel and the medical teams. Also on the memorial was to be the Foreign rescue teams who had also been killed trying to save people above the impact zone in Building 1.
