Name: Taros

Race: Human, mostly undead, with a large part being daemons and supernatural beings summoned by Lokken and his necromancers.

Government:

Taros is ruled, although its more liked dominated, by the Mage King/High Necromancer Lokken, who wields absolute power in Taros. Whenever Lokken gives a command, it is obeyed or the violator is turned into another one of his endless undead soldiers. However, because even he, as an immortal Mage King, has more important things to do and he cannot be caught dealing with all the small problems faced by Taros. Therefore, he appoints a leader from each of the major houses to rule over their house's portion of land. A clear command structure is in place; the Great Houses of Taros can scheme, plot and politik all they like, but they cannot go to war or disobey Lokken, not if they wish to retain their post and not became some expendable zombie slave.

Population:

3 million undead and daemons/supernatural beings
.5 million humans

The Land of Taros

The Land of Taros, also known as the Ashlands, are home to the vast legions of undead and daemons summoned there to guard the lands of the High Necromancer, as well as continually harass the nearby lands around them, to bring evermore undead into his realm, as well as show that Taros is still a power to be reckoned with. The Ashlands are broad stretches of land, with hard, rocky ground that either is incapable of supporting crops or is able to grow few, stunted vegetables that have become the diet of the humans that descended from the families of the necromancers Lokken lured to his side and the slaves captured for the purpose of breeding and creating the houses to help run his kingdom. The harshness of his kingdom keeps bandits, thieves and spies out of his lands, as well as the hordes of undead and daemons.

Economy of Taros:

Albeit bare and sparse, there is an overland economy to Taros. Trade routes, if anyone dares to venture to Taros, are opened and viciously guarded by the Knights of the Damned, the elite all human force of Tarosian knights, recruited from the cream of the four houses, they serve as Lokken's personal bodyguard, elite strike force, as well as a patrolling force for the trade routes of Taros. They send out vital metals which the Ashlands are full of, and bring in essential food and water, as well as luxury items such as wines and other things. There are few water holes and rivers in Taros and they are not as tasty as imported water.

Armies of Taros

The armies of Taros, or as they are more infamously known, hordes, are made up of masses of undead, which are supported by large armies of summond daemons, and well-trained, well-armed human infantry which have no scruples, no rules and absolute, fear-driven faith and devotion in Lokken and their dark deity, Belial.

Average Noble House Army: 500,000 undead, 80,000 humans

Army of the Mage King: 1,000,000 undead, and 180,000 humans

Religion:

The denizens of Taros worship a dark and powerful deity known as Belial. The Lord of Darkness, the Spawn of Evil, the Eye of Despair, the God of Taros has many names, and his power is felt through the land of Taros. At times, during battle and when his favored disciples, the Dark Priests, are present, a Spawn of Belial will appear, bringing despair and destruction to enemy forces. Belial is known as a God of fire and darkness, and renowned for his great destructive capabilities.

They worship at the Black Temples of Belial, where human sacrifices, mostly captured slaves, are offered up to satiate Belials eternal hunger. They are giant structures made out of blackstone, a rock that is abundant in Taros that is as hard as steel. They are located all over Taros, and as such, the presence of Belial in the Ashlands is saturated into the rock, making it a dark and scary place.

The Noble Houses of Taros:

House of Ontinor

This house is the least violent of the four Noble Houses, and as such, it's lands have been spared much of the destruction caused by the fighting. It got a piece of geographical good luck by being located on the island north of Taros, which not only separates it from most of the fighting, but makes it the trading center of Taros, with its ports not that far away from those of Veruna's. Out all of the houses, it has the best relations with the outside world.

House of Ventar

This house is in a state of perpetual conflict with the House of Balistan, through any medium, be it politics, battle, etc. It has fought with Balistan for years, first for rights to the commercial places in the capital of Taros, Elam, and then for various other feuds and problems between the two. Occupying the worst part of Taros, the northern wastes, they have never been able to build up their political power to become a force in Tarosian politics. They try to ally with anyone against Balistan, with little odds of success. However, most of their battles are put down by Lokken, so they rarely get a chance to fight, if even.

House of Leimar

This house is the oldest house in Taros, having been made by the first Necromancer to swear fealty to Lokken. As such, this house is favored by Lokken above the others, resulting in fierce power struggles before Lokken puts them down. This house has spawned the current military commander under Lokken and one of the evilest men ever born: Baron Leimar, who pacified Zakum several years ago, as it tried to resist the conscription of its people. It did not fare well against the Baron.

House of Balistan

This is the house that is the eternal enemy of Ventar, and has come out on top of most of their scuffles. Renowned for the legendary bloodlust, they provide most of the warriors, and undead, of the Tarosian forces. They are also the most religious and most of the Black Temples of Belial are located in their realm, as well as the capital city of Elam.

Of the High Necromancer, Lokken, Mage King of Taros

Lokken is the ruler of Taros, both as the High Necromancer, the avatar of Belial in worldly affairs, as well as the Mage King of Taros. He is effectively immortal and has immense powers, especially over necromancy and flame due to the magical object known as Angvir's Flame, which is a sulfur-colored stone mounted on a scepter. This gives Lokken a wide range of magical abilities and makes him one of the strongest mages still living. He can revive entire battalions of troops into undead in one sweep, cause a plague that kills the living and turns them undead, and even summon all kinds of daemons and supernatural creatures to aid in his battle and destroy his enemies. He tried to kill Prince Remien IV and was banished to the Ashlands. Embittered by this, he has unleashed war against Cyrodial, Yokuda, Aramon, Veruna and many other nations and he continues to raid into other countries, killing, raping and bringing back fresh “recruits” for the legions of undead in his nation. Lokken rules Taros with an iron fist and he holds absolute power. No one crosses him and they all obey his every wish, or they are sent to Belial's arms quicker than they imagined.

OOC: A little bare bones, but I will fix it later, here is my factbook.
