The Eastern Powers (ATTN Tigerlan, Maldorians, TPF, Nova Europa)

Deep in the halls of Imperial Palace, in the Wanderjarian Capital city of Warsaw, through the vast corridors and down endless staircases, lay a hidden meeting room which, until now, had not been used. This room had been merely designed so that if any political meeting between national leaders was necessary, it could be executed in exquisite privacy. Kaiser Baker of the First Reich had finally decided that this room’s function was necessary.

He had called together the national leaders from across eastern Europa, his Tigerlanian friends, his close allies in TPF, as well as the leaders from the Maldorian state. And here they were, assembled comfortably in the chairs before him, arrayed with a vast assortment of drinks and other pleasantries with which to occupy themselves. He nodded to each and every one of them, and as his advisors left, he began to speak.

“Gentlemen, I am quite pleased that you all have arrived. Now then, let us discuss the business at hand.” He paused to look each of them in the eye. He briefly brushed off his right black and red shoulder epaulette which designated him as having been a Colonel in the Wanderjarian Marine Corps. “The continent of Nova Europa is changing. We, the Eastern Powers, are scorned and most importantly, feared, by the West. They see us as a horde, an assortment of war mongering peoples whose only aim is domination of the continent. I realize that you, my Tigerlanian and TPFian friends, have desires to annex the state of Czechalrus in order to gain better access over the sea lanes in the Black Sea, and thus entry into the Nova Mediterranean. I understand this. However I must say that for the present, we must be careful about our ambitions. Should you all pursue this, you know that I shall support you, however we must make a pact of agreement, and further more an ultimate strategy for how to conduct this if and when it blows into a full continental war.” He looked the Maldorian Turk in the eyes and said, “and you my friend, I am sure have ambitions to expand into the Balkan region, yes? I will support you in this as well should it come to this. But again, coordination is everything. The Nova Europa Alliance is already designing plans on how to counter us, and how to ultimately make war against us. This is why I propose that we create a counter alliance. This is why I propose we create the Eastern Powers alliance,” He allowed them a moment to let this proposition to sink in. “This would be an alliance to act as a counter balance to the NEA, to show them that if they choose to alienate us, then we shall organize against them. Divided we cannot destroy the NEA. Together we can annihilate them. Now then, before we continue, are there any questions thus far?” and with that he allowed his guests the opportunity to speak.

The Maldorian delegate was only pleased to speak. "Brilliant idea. Our nation wished to join the Nova Europan Alliance, yet the scums of them denied us, apperently for having low civil rights and political freedoms! Nonsense! We will control the Black Sea, and the the only entrance. Hopefully, our great nations can work something out. The Eastern Powers...great!"

OOC: I suppose I'm out of this for working with the NEA although I'm pushing along with Dartia to let Mandalore and Tigerlan (who are already allies and OOC people I know)

OOC:

@SaintB/Sirusia: Not at all bud! Once this goes public (Answering Sirusia's question ;)) you can absolutely apply for entrance, and I'll certainly have no problem allowing you in, though debate amongst myself, Tigerlan, Maldorians, and TPF will occur. But I'm certain that there wouldn't be a problem. :)

OOC: I think Siriusa was wondering whether to prepare for war or not, but that's neither here nor there. Nice seeing you again, Wanderjar. :)

Führer Dreiden Listehoffe sat contently until it was his turn to speak, his mind racing on what it was he was going to say, then he stood and spoke in a Furor of a man with no thought but of his people.

"A writer within my country has summed up the impressions made on him by this time in a book which he entitled 'The Decline of the World.' Is it then really to be the end of our history and of our peoples? No! We cannot believe it. This age must be called, not the decline of the World, but the resurrection of the peoples of this World of ours! Only that which was old, decayed and evil perishes; and let it die! But, new life will spring up. Faith can be found, if the will is there. Our Alliance has the will, and its faith is with the people!

So we have come together on this day to prove symbolically that we are more than a collection of individuals striving one against another, that none of us is too proud, none of us too high, none is too rich, and none too poor, to stand together before the face of the West and of the world in this indissoluble, sworn community. This united Alliance, we have need of it. When was an alliance at any time faced with a heavier task than our Eastern Alliance? Consider, my comrades, what our Alliance is, and compare it with other Alliances . What have we? Nothing. Only heavy burdens, sacrifices, taxation, and low wages. What have we, compared with the wealth of other States, the wealth of other Alliances, the wealth of other peoples, with the possibilities of living that they possess? What have we? One thing only; we have our people. Either it is everything or it is nothing. On it alone can we count. On it alone can we build. Everything that we have created up to the present we owe solely to its goodness of heart, its capacity, its loyalty, its decency, its industry, its sense of order. And, if I weigh all this in the balance, it seems to me to be more than all that the rest of the world can offer us. So this, I believe, can be our message to the other peoples on this Day: 'You need have no fear that we want anything of you. We are proud enough to confess that we ourselves own that treasure, which you certainly could not give us - our people.' I could, as a leader amongst this alliance, think of no more glorious, no prouder task in this world than to serve this people. One might give me continents, but I would rather be the poorest citizen among this people. And with this people we must and shall succeed in achieving also the tasks that are still to come.

What we want lies clear before us: not war and not strife. Just as we have established peace within our own people, so will we want nothing else than peace with the world. For we all know that our great work can succeed only in a time of peace. But just as the leadership of the Alliance has never sacrificed its honor in its relations with its own people, so it can never surrender the honor of its own people in its dealings with the world.

We know what we owe to the world. May the world come to understand what she can never deny to a proud people, and above all may she comprehend one thing: the East of today is not the East of yesterday - just as little as the East of yesterday was the East of today. The Eastern people of the present time is not the Eastern people of the day before yesterday, but the Eastern people of the two thousand years of Eastern history which lie behind us."

Listehoffe stopped for a moment and glared into each and every eye within the room, and did something he had not done in his entire career. He removed his Cap and placed it on the table, the cap symbolizing being Above those around him, and it being removed, symbolized that none here were above the others, that they stood together, a few against the many, as Equals.

"On this day we come together, as one Alliance, One people, and together say to the world: 'No More! No More Shall We be Hindered by the Likes of You! We Stand Together as One! We are the Eastern Powers!'"

The Holy Reich of The Peoples Freedom will join this alliance. The threat from the NEA is too strong to ignore.

Baker knew he could hardly follow after Mr. Listhoffe's amazing speech, and chose to simply nod in awe of it. After acknowledging the TPFian delegate's statement, Baker nodded again.

They continued to sit quietly for another moment, and then the Kaiser broke the silence. "Excellent. And so begins the reign of the Eastern Powers." He chuckled slightly, and found the situation rather amusing. The man, Kaiser Christoph Baker, who had built the Nova Europa Alliance's military, had created bases all across the continent to ensure the total defense of the continent and protect it, was now creating an alliance which many thought would be a driving force in destroying it.

Thinking to himself, he said, "Its so funny how things work out, it really is."
