Stoklomolvi has announced that today, October 10, 2007, it will begin mass production of hydrogen warheads. For many years, Stoklomolvi has been a nuclear power, but an efficient method of producing hydrogen-based warheads has been discovered. As reported by the Stoklomolvi Weaponry Research Institute, "The warhead was to be placed in the tip of the basic Stoklomolvi SIWS-23 casing, with a simplified V8 rocket launch system. There are multiple segments in the missile, and every section when disconnected can unleash a force of 365 kilotons of trinitrotoluene (TNT). As such, even destroying the missile with an missile interception system will unleash fragments into the air. The casing itself is quite explosive, and a casing with a 1 metre diameter will cause an explosion equivalent to detonating 20 kilogrammes of dynamite."
This information is included in the Stoklomolvi Factbook. All warheads will be deactivated until the time comes, and at that point the missile will rise out of the silo and prepare for launch. The SIWS Peacekeeper-23 may also be launched from nuclear submarines as well as land-based missile silos. Stoklomolvi does not consider launching any of these warheads at any time, and nor will it be authorised for production from corporate arms manufacturers. All factories manufacturing the SIWS Peacekeeper-23 will be under constant government monitoring. However, the Stoklomolvi government will not release the number of missiles manufactured.

Alfegos wonders whether 1 Megaton devices or MIRVs have been considered as nuclear weapons: they would be much more effective.
We ourselves hold in reserve many nuclear missiles, including some experimental 300 Megaton weapons, which are now deemed inpractical.

OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE
Oily Prata congratulates Stoklomolvi on its successful development of the SIWS Peacekeeper-23 missile. We too have a fledgeling programme aiming to develop indegenous Nuclear weapons. We feel it could be beneficial to both our governments if you could assist us in our programme.

[OOC: Yes, yes, but my country is an MT nation; 2007, and the 2007 RL US of A doesn't have mass-produced hydrogen warheads...]
To all supporting nations:
Stoklomolvi thanks you for your support in the development of a practical hydrogen ICBM. Nikolaus Tezla, Foreign Minister to the Free Republic of Oily prata, we thank you and your country for your idea. Stoklomolvi believes that this will be beneficial for both countries, and as such we will aid Oily prata in the development of practical nuclear weaponry. Once again, Stoklomolvi gives its thanks.

Open Declaration of the Dictorial Republic of Sumer
The Dictorial Republic of Sumer would like to offer congradulations to your nation for achieving it's present defence capabilities. Thermoniclear weapons are indeed an effective way of keeping oneself soviergn.
However, we would like to point out the problem with your missile casing as described. Namely that on boost-stage interception, your missile will scatter toxic radioactive dust all over your own lands as it is currently designed to do. You may instead wish to harden your missiles against attack from lasers and such, and provide air defence around launch facilities so that their interception is less likely in the initial stages.

Official Communique:
The National Sozialist Reich of Lyncanthropia would like to congratulate Stoklomovil on the development of SIWS Peacekeeper-23. We also aim on the production of Nuclear and Bio-Chemical weaponry.
On another note, the Führer Damyo Kruder, would like to ask for permission to assist a future test of this great piece of weaponry.

[OOC: TWSP, I got the seal off "Says-it" as well, and isa my country is only a fraction the size of yours, and being a late-MT nation, it does not have mass produced gigaton weaponry.]
To all supporting nations:
Stoklomolvi thanks you for your support in the development of a practical hydrogen ICBM. We also thank you for your concerns, specifically Dostanuot Loj. Missiles do not spread toxic radioactive dust, and are in fact non-"nuclear"; they are hydrogen warheads, not uranium. Almost all elements have isotopes, and even though this sounds nuclear it is not. If a missile attacks a city un-intercepted, then the attack radius will be just as large if compared to the missile was destroyed while over the city. However, the blast power will be much less if the missile is destroyed.

OOC: Well then you missile makes no sense. Either it's A) a hydrogen boosted nuclear weapon, or B) a bomb which uses hydrogen as it's primary explosive. Option B is incredibly ineffecient to the point of being utterly laughable, so naturally I assumed option A. Unless there is some other magical way to force hydrogen to undergo fusion without the massive ammounts of energy required by a nuclear device.

To Palil Panchito Dumumianacaonak Dumuaguanikeyuk Doradak Nameshda, Commanding Officer of External Affairs of The Dictatorial Republic of Dostanuot Loj
The SIWS Peacekeeper-23 relies on a nuclear fission system to aid in the process of hydrogen fusion. Further consultation with the Stoklomolvi Weaponry Research Institute, however, reveals that the SIWS Peacekeeper-23 does indeed release nuclear radiation, and in quite massive amounts at that. Release of the nuclear weapon does not occur over Stoklomolvi itself and will only activate when far away enough from Stoklomolvi so that it will not affect the country. However, if the opposition destroys missiles over Stoklomolvi then the fragments will still explode, though the nuclear weapon will be deactivated and only depleted uranium and hydrogen will be destroyed. The Commissar has issued a formal apology to Dostanuot Loj.

[OOC: Remember that NS is an alternate reality, and that practical lasers have been invented in some countries as weapons; shouldn't practical thermonuclear warheads that do not emit radiation exist?]

now what would the purpose of a hydrogen based missle? i find no real practical difference than a regular ICBM... and you claim that if the missle was destroyed over the city that it would be the same if it landed uninterupted... that my friend, under any law of physics cannot be true... anytime you have a explosion, the blast radius differs greatly with the surrounding area... so unless your new and improved POS missle is more like a chemical weapon that spreads through the air instead, and even then it would still be the same problem, the radious differs greatly on how the missle/weaopn goes off......i think you need a new homeland defence department.... :sniper:;)
