OOC: To join please PM me with the nation you would like to RP as and maybe credentials. Experience is not needed nor even suggested, I just don't want a dog-pile here. Also, please bear in mind that this is a theoretical earth; if you want to play as your own nation use discretion. The outcome of this thread has no bearing on II events, only the history of my nation. Warning: Don't get pissy about the ending..

IC:
The creation of the universe was no great event. No explosion of color and sound. No great voice creating something out of nothing. No, the universe was born out of nothing more than time. As small particles continued to float in the nothingness they began to expand. Collecting more and more of their brethren. This took millennia, many millennia. Soon vast bodies floated in ‘space’ the larger ones collapsing and forming stars.

The creation of life was no great event either. It was unforeseen and unwanted. It skewed many plans and set into motion disastrous events. The few entities that witnessed it forgot it, the many entities that tried to shape it failed. Life shaped itself in its own image, and this image was wholly violent. No great surprise was it then that Life was nearly removed from its origin planet in one Great War.

The division of boarders was considered uncouth by The Entities, very barbaric to claim ownership to something that did not belong to you. And the wars fought over these imaginary lines were just as barbaric. Men and women (currently the chief Caste in Life’s system) died for little more than false ideologies and useless materials. Their souls remained with their bodies as true release had yet to be realized.

Barbaric as Life may be it still moved many among The Entities, the disputes among them dramatized in a way only timeless nothings could dramatize. Those that still refused to care were ignored, and nothings ignored disappeared into forgetfulness. So soon the ranks of The Entities thinned as Life became more barbaric as it ‘advanced’ and ‘evolved’; and more stopped caring.

Two Entities remained at the dawn of a period in Life’s history known as the Oil Sorties, both had chosen earth names: Erus and Animus. Both had decided upon opposite sides of the conflict. Neither knew of the true power they would gain on Earth, but soon they would learn and soon earth would know true gods.

The year: 2007. The place: Prairie du Sac, WI.

Erus looked out across the parking lot. The few cars left looked desolate, alone. The slight breeze chilling to the bone, fall was coming with a furry. In a lone cone of light stood Animus, the street lamp above him giving his usually caring face a hard edge. His features Blurring and then become more distinguished as he walked forward.

“This weather’s a bitch Erus, why couldn’t we have picked someplace warmer?”

Erus glared at the asphalt at his feet, his forehead wrinkling with thought. “Soon, Animus, we will be free of this land and be able to travel abroad. For now though, we must abide by the laws of this country” He spat the last words with contempt.

17 years ago, when they had taken Earthly bodes as their own, they continued with their enchanted thoughts of Life. Soon though, they became disenchanted. The violence and hatred they experienced had been diluted by their once lofty positions above and out of it all. Now though, they hated this world, this life. The argument they had planned to settle was worked out well before they became self aware again. (Babies are such parasitic creatures) Now their lives meant nothing, but they would change that.

First, they departed from each other’s company and went to separate parts of the country. They were to gain powerful positions. When the time was right they were to strike with an awesome furry at the legs of the capitalist nation and take control. Then other nations would fall to their regime. They would reunite all Life on Earth.

As the years wore on Erus and Animus grew distant, their separate views on how the plan should be carried out led only to bickering. Erus had taken a position in the business world and was slowly creating a vast monopoly. His company expanded into arms manufacturing and then into Black Ops. Under his direction it slowly became a city state in its own rite. The land it occupied continued to grow. A black splotch of capitalism in the heart of the US.

Animus had taken to politics, gaining prestige and power amongst the bureaucratic system. His foray into the Executive Branch was successful and a new Secretary of Defense was crowned. It was a simple step up to president. Under his gentle guidance the nation prospered and maintained a peaceful relationship with other nations.

Inside it was a different story, the black spot that was Eros Int. continued to eat up representatives and senators. Both houses were merely corrupt puppets. To offset this a strong anti-Capitalist stance was taken. Many attempts at stopping or limiting Eros failed out right, some went back and forth and then dropped dead, none succeeded.

With great frustration Animus staged a terrorist attack on a government building and established marshal law. With a few quick moves the legislative branch was trimmed and the Judicial was juiced up with a military force of its own. His next step was to sway the nation towards his side and prepare for an assault on Eros Int.

Inside Eros Int.’s borders their own defenses and forces were primed and ready. Already a counter attack was planed. Already battle lines were drawn.

Farms dotted the outskirts of the Omega Complex. The huge, ominous gates into the City/Factory were a blur of activity in the night. The vehicle lights never going off or disappearing, always there. Tower emplacements were craftily worked into the architecture, none of it looking out of place.

The team’s SUV rolled smoothly up to the booth. The security guard look like any other rent a cop except for his automatic side arm. The black body armor shining in the street lamp. A flash of a clearance card and they were in. Even at 10 at night the parking lot was packed. No one went home till a job was done.

Down, into the belly of the complex, they parked. 5 men exited the car, suited up and one hit a switch. EMP. Electro-magnetic-pulse, a huge dispersal of energy used to knock out the power. Which it did. Sirens went off right away… or at least they should have. Without a generator though it’s kind of hard to do anything mechanical.

A few guards with flashlights, corpses now, had tried to fix the problem. A quick change of clothes and the team fit right in. 2 flights to the lobby, then onto the service elevator, the silence a defining roar that broke all but the most untrained resolve.

“You aren’t supposed to be up he…!” silenced gunfire interrupted him. It wasn’t loud enough to cover up his voice; it’s just that it is a bit hard to talk without a fully functioning brain.

“Should a guard room have been this easy to take?”

“Well, they weren’t really expecting an attack were they? So I guess this is to be expected.”

“Yeah, your right. Hey does anyone else smell that?”

“I do. I guess you do soil yourself when you die.”

The banter between the men was that of confidence that stage one had been completed. All they had to do now was dispose of a few bodies and take the positions they had just opened and wait. Simple, clean, effective. That is what good Spec-Ops squad should be.

Nerve toxins are not nice things. They get inside you and fuck you up big time. Destroying a key system to your continued function as a human. This one liked to send you into a violent spasm, causing you to snap your own spinal cord. Then the blood starts to flow from the opening in your body. Not enough blood to kill you, just enough to make you pass out. Getting back up is going to be a problem for anyone paralyzed, but especially for someone without working nerves.

This nerve toxin likes to creep into guard rooms currently occupied by Spec-Ops teams.

EROS ATTACKED
"Grave news has just reached this reporters ears that Eros Int.'s Omega Complex was assaulted yesterday by a terrorist cell. The government has yet to make a statement but we now go live to Omega Complex for a press conference."

A tall, brown haired man stands behind a podium. His long hair falling down in front of his eyes. With a quick twitch he cleared his vision and began speaking.

"Many innocent people died today. Many families must morn losses. Many hearts shall grieve forevermore. But, we will move on. And if the incompetent government does not capture the masterminds behind this assault we will.

I am pleased to announce that Eros Int.'s Omni Complex has began the training of elite 'detectives' to hunt down and find the culprits."

"we'll be right back after a short commercial break"
The screen fades to black and then back onto the Eros Int. logo: the earth being hoisted up by a hand. In the palm of the hand is a lidless eye. Next several scenes of happiness and acceptance and progress are shown as a voice talks over it. "Eros International, Protecting and Providing for a better future."

OOC: That's fine. A third side could move most of the fighting away from the complexes. Post away, also if you know of anyone else that might be interested feel free to invite them. I figure an intro RP should have more people than this..
