It had been a number of years since the rebellion of the Norse First Party had been resolved by the meeting of the Emperor Olaf IV and the leaders of the rebellion where the leaders had all been granted blanket amnesty in exchange for their withdrawal of politics and swearing allegiance to the Emperor. Now after those many years had come the rise of the powerful Prince Olaf V whom had strong sympathies for the goals of Norse First and sought achieve goals of a very similar to those that the revolution had sought to attain.
As well he had strong support amongst the Valgardian nobility, the intellectuals of the nation, the conservatives, veterans, the other elites, and through the Scandinvan Imperial Armed Forces. To satisfy this elements, and his own beleifs as well, he would begin the persuction of the first group that would start a long era of persuction, the first to go would be the the immigrants to the Empire who had long been subject to hate and injustice.
