As a new nation, and the reincarnation of an old nation now expired, I'm having trouble generating interest in my RPs, or finding any interesting new ones to participate in. Hoping to find others of similar sentiment, I'm looking to create a small-tight-knit RP community by seeking nations to border my own. Through so doing, I'm hoping to kick off an initial series of RPs involving power plays on this paticular little continent. Diplomacy, espionage, and military conflict would likely be the result as alliances were forged and enemies made.

In short, I'm looking for between 6 to 10 people to volunteer to share a continent with my nation. If interested, post here along with a very brief description of your nation. Eventually, if this generates enough interest, I'll make a map of the continent.

The Pyekan-Kuogu might just be interested. See my introductory thread, linked in my sig, for an idea of just how messed-up Pyeki is, if you care to know.

I'd want some say in Pyeki's geography, but mainly to confirm that the place is a big jungle with highlands scattered throughout, with ocean access limited to a single, vast river delta, and natural resources somewhat limited beyond what the jungle provides.

I might provisionally be interested. Would there be some NPC for us to argue over/invade/exterminate? Cheers:-D

Since there's obviously some interest in this idea, I think it'd be good to use this thread not only as the signup area for new participants, but as a database of RPs by each person on the continent. I'll create a list and you can post links to your RPs with details about the threads, whether or not they're open, etc. This should help at least with the interest-generating aspect of our problem. Furthermore, I think I'll hold a continent-wide conference soon, to get interaction between new neighbors started and kickstart the process of making friends and, better yet, mortal enemies.

I've also begun work on a map of the continent. If everyone would provide a description of their nation's geography, it would be very helpful.

The Totalitarian State of Red Tide is a totalitarian police state whose civilian population is kept in line by a government that pervades into every aspect of their life. Some citizens manage to escape the oppression by joining the Red Tide Mafia, which has a major influence in the Southern Mountains. The TSRT is ruled absolutely by a General-Secretary, he has the final say in any government decision.

Central and the majority of Southern Red Tideis are large, fertile plains with numerous rivers and cities, ocassionally broken by large forests. The vast majority of people live in this region.

Part of Southern Red Tide is mountains, from which the majority of the nations resources come from. It is sparsely populated and contains numerous Gulag-style work camps. Government control is restricted to these camps, the various mines, and the railways into and out of the area. The rest of the provinces are used as hiding places and smuggling spots for the Red Tide Mafia, including the infamous 'Black Market Mountain', where numerous weapons from all over the world are sold.

Northern Red Tide is mostly forests and hills and is moderately populated. There is nothing really special about this region of the country.

Sorry for the spate of inactivity. Had to tend to some obligations. Anyway, the map's done and I'll post it shortly. Still looking for a couple other nations as full time residents, but as of now, I'll accept people's colonies.

I'm liking that map, though Stoklomolvi is a bit larger, has a longer coastline, and has tropical colonies, as stated in my factbook. On another note, we need a scale for that map.

I will join because I can still carry on my war with red tide but only if you terafrom the continent to include what my country looks like. The map is on my wiki page to which there is a link in my signature.

Perhaps giving the southwest arm to the so-far unclaimed territory and maybe extending North Calaveras' coastline partly across that bay would suffice.

Edit: We seem to have already a lot of faux-communist dictatorships, eh? And Red Tide2 already has had dealings with the Pyekan-Kuogu, helping to build docks at our sole port. Looking forward to starting relations.

I'm also thinking of beginning a continent-wide conference shortly after I make the edits to the map. Would people be interested? I think it would kickstart the process of making allies and enemies and thus speed up intercontinental roleplay.

So here's the new draft of the continent. To The Beatus and Fordock, while I couldn't directly copy your maps into mine (I fear I'm not that talented),
I did what I could to keep as close to your borders as possible while adding you. Remember that this particular map's purpose is to show where people are in relation to each other, so it's completely fair to keep your originals as political/geographic maps and let the continental map show your location to your neighbors.

Everyone else: I hope the edits are acceptable. If not, I'll make additional changes. Stoklomolvi, I enlarged your nation and extended your coastline as you can see. Pyeki, I shrank your coastline.

Weccanfield, state your claim here and I'll put it on the map if it's reasonable, otherwise I'll come as close to it as I can while still being fair to continental residents.

Stok: since I'm planning a long conference, maybe for the time being we should just exchange posts in the embassy thread, then work out further details later.

EDIT: Unless, Stok, you do want to forge a triple alliance with the Beatus, in which case a three way meeting would be good.

EDIT: Oh and by the way, could you edit the map a bit so that my place is jutting out into the ocean more? That's how it looks in the actual map (too bad it's based on the world map) so could you, would you, edit it so that it looks more like a large peninsula that faces northwards and looks like eastern Russia? I would be interested in joining, if you would be interested in new people who have not done this type of rp before? I am experienced with other types of rp and would love to join. I don't have much specific information for my nation yet due to being new to this and not having fleshed out many ideas. So far I just have a the geography and government type/opinions. If you would be willing to accept a beginner though I would be more than willing to provide and needed information as soon as possible.

Well, I'm not bothered where I go really, just so long as I have an island or two off the coast of it, if that's not a problem. And a coast as well, come to think of it :p.

It is a decent copy. Besides as you said I'll mainly use it for border references. Hey NC want an embassy? Also this will be good for my war with Red Tide.
