Patricia Sin-Claire smiled into the camera as the teleprompter flashed it's green lettering at her. She nodded at the camera man, and the film began to roll.
"Patricia Sin-Claire of FCNN here in Vallingard, historic capital of our great country of Faxanavia. It seems that after seven hours of deliberating in the central voting offices, the people of Faxanavia have finally chosen our next prime minister. The incumbent, Invansky Bochick, strong and opinioned leader of the Liberal party, lost out to Homer Caesus of the Corporate Progressive party. In his acceptance speech before Parliament, Caesus declared that he would use his power to lead Faxanavia out of it's economic and political bounds, and into a better tomorrow. Mr. Caesus will take office in January, and is expected to declare his advisors within the next two weeks. In a suprise move, Mr. Caesus declared that the incumbent would remain on board in his cabinet, though he has not made it clear what job he shall take."
Homer Caesus popped the cork off of a champaigne bottle, to a loud cheer from his fellow party members. Smiling and nodding at his fellows, he moved with grace to a nearby table, where he greeted his wife with a kiss on the head. Things were finally looking up...
