Dear Mr Gudenov,

It is a pleasure to hear from our northern neighbours. We are undoubtedly honoured to receive and accept an application from your nation, and an embassy site is being prepared for you in our capital.

Regarding your proposal of a Mutual Defence Alliance, we would be pleased to accept. Our nation, glorious as it is, would not be able to stand up to much in the way of an assault, despite the training of our troops and inhospitable terrain.
