"The Stocks are falling Sir! There are more people then there is food, we may have to decrease rations"
"Bandits have attempted another raid on Jerdaj Panko, 67 people have been injured, and 3 dead, what should we do?"
"Hospitals are running out of supplies, Schools are loosing essentials, the smuggling business is running amok"
These were just a few of many problems bothering Emperor Iyast Ussuei. The supplies were running out, and the ministry had been questioning his decision to expand the military, instead of the essentials, but he had a plan.
Burkina Faso is a smaller country next the former Niger, Now just about empty. The fertile fields and resources, just may be enough to increase the food supply for another 8 months, just enough time he hoped to establish trade relations, and secure more crop and food. How ever there were bandits. Lots of bandits, and he just could not take the risk of using some of the CD soldiers, for he needed them to protect the colonies in Niger. Today the forces were ready, it was time.
"Gentlemen, as you all know there is a great shortage problem, with food, in our growing movement"
He got a choir of mumbled yes's and a multitude of nodding heads
"However, there may be one small chance, just one"
This got their interest. Iyast walked to a white board salvaged from a demolished school and put his hand on it
"Gentlemen" This is Burkina Faso"
With one movement, he had turned the board round, showing the small country, former locations of major cities, and nearby boarders, including Uaegoslavia
"This is a small country, however The stores have so far in a few major cities have been untouched, this combined with the fields may just, just Be enough to stretch the stocks for another 8 months, I then hope this will be ample time to establish trade relations with nearby survivors"
There were some raised eyebrows but he continued
"The only country near by right now is The United Arab States, once we have control over Burkina, we must try to establish trade contacts, any questions"
Silence, but the empty hall was broken by one voice
"When will we start?"
Iyast had not thought of this yet, but he had an idea of when to start
"Next month Minister, next month"
