Important News and Current Events within the Kingdom of Cascadia

Project Sunrise Begins
Aimed at expanding the realm to include neighbouring territories by negotiating with local leaders in order to bring unaligned areas under the protection of the Kingdom. Infrastructure experts, construction teams, raw resources, and great sums of money are offered in good faith in an effort to bring much needed civilization to those populations still struggling in the post-End world. Sustained Funding for Surviving Schools
The Crown and the Circle of Archons have approved solid and sustainable budgets for education at all levels throughout the realm, particularly for surviving post-secondary institutions such as Simon Fraser University, University of Oregon, University of California San Francisco, and Duke of Washington University (formerly Washington State University).
In addition, the Crown has established the Royal Military College of Cascadia (RMCC), a military university for the education and training of the finest officer corps Cascadia can produce. Admission, much like the Royal Cascadian Forces, is completely co-ed and may be open to foreign officer cadets in the future.
Queen Boosts Naval Budget
The Crown and Circle of Archons have approved increased spending for this next Three-Year in an effort to bolster the Royal Cascadian Navy and better secure the sovereign waters. The boost comes in the wake of the Defence Ministry's study of national contemporaries, whose vast military spending often averages above 30% of TYI.
With the approved budget, the RCN has announced its intent to get more workers on the job constructing an additional four Excelsior-class destroyers.
