IC: Admiral Guard shifted uncomfortably in his seat as he explained to his crew the orders.
'...We are to go into what is believed to be Balroggian space and attempt to re-establish contact. In these times of change, it is vital we know who are allies are'
'Sir, will any ships escort us? Or will the Viceroy be exposed to enermy attacks?' asked one the commanders nervously
'This is a diplomatic Mission. The Viceroy is more than secure enough form enermy attack and we don't want to appear hostile. Engage the hyperdrive without delay!'
'Yes Admiral!'
The MCD quickly swung about and headed at full speed towards Balroggian space, nd an uncertain future...

The Viceroy exited Hyperspace outside the Asfaltum System. The information they had received after many inquiries had led them to many deserted systems showing no activity. Eventually they were whispered a rumor the last place Balrogga was seen was during the invasion of the Asfaltum system. It was rumored they even assisted Ganoxa with the evacuation of their endangered citizens from the beleaguered system.
Right after a mysterious black nebula surrounded the entire system, the Balrogga Empire vanished. Rumor was spoken that they were still within the heart of the ebon nebula that crackled with crimson energy. It was also rumored that energy would strike any ships that tried to enter the nebula, destroying it utterly.
Being their last link to the mysteriously vanished allies, The Viceroy was sent to investigate. After the ship had returned to Real Space, they could see why nobody wanted to infiltrate the ominous nebula. It was truly as described, a huge beyond belief cloud of billowy shadow that was only lit by an uncountable number of crimson flashes as energies discharged across the face wherever they looked.
A piece of interstellar debris was observed as it approached the cloud. When it closed, a number of red arcs jumped from the storm and struck the deserted ship. The wrecked freighter almost seemed to be drawn into the grasp of the cloud as more ribbons of bloody energy caressed the surface, eating away at the Durasteel hull, disintegrating the flotsam in a brilliant arcing until nothing remained but an ionized cloud of particles.
The crew stared in disbelief at the display, wondering how anything could survive in there.

Admiral Guard looked away long enough to give some instructions
'Launch a spy probe into the storm. We must glean and information form this... storm as possible
The probe was launched and headed slowly, but surely towards the storm. However, the second it got too close, a lightening bolt shot out of the storm, vaporising the probe instantly.
'Just as the rumours predicted Sir. That bolt would almost take our sheilds, and a second would destroy us.'
'Monitor the storm for any changes. We have come to far to go back a failure'
'Aye, admial!'
Admiral Guard new that High Command would not tolerate such a failure. He must find a way through

The sensors of The Viceroy could pick out the mass signatures of several planets and the star.
The Force Storm was messing with the sensor readings; it almost looked like the system contained several thousand stars, according to the mass readings. The crew could only scratch their heads and wonder why they were not drawn in by the massive gravity all those stars would have emitted.
To further confuse the poor technicians, the sources of gravity seemed to be moving slowly, and not in an orbit that could be detected or pattern in the short time they observed the phenomena. This was certainly a strange place.

The Admiral pondered for a moment.
'Speculate, is it possible for a the centre of the storm to be calm, much like a hurricane?'
'Possible yes. unlikely, but possible.'
Admiral Guard contiunues on 'Therefore, could the Balroggians (OOC: Is the correct nationality name?) exist safely inside this storm, unaffected.'
'Its a long stretch of the imagination, but yes.'
'Open a channel'
'Sir?'
'I want to speak to them
'Yes sir' Replyed the commander, obviously unconvinced
'Attention Balroggians. This is Admiral Guard of the Mole Class Destroyer Viceroy. We come in peace. Do you read me, over?'

Several minutes went by without an answer. Just as the captain was about to resend the message, alarms sounded as the ships sensors detected a massive energy spike from all around them.
The sensor sweep seemed to come from every direction yet none at all, almost as if it came from The Viceroy itself. This lasted for several seconds as the sweep seemed to concentrate on the bridge, engines, power core, computers, and weapons. Whoever was scanning the ship seemed to know what they were doing.
As sudden as it started, the sensor sweep disappeared. The silence seemed to draw on forever, unchanging until a voice filled the bridge. It was not a singular voice but a cacophony of many, an echoing voice of several beings speaking at once, fading to and fro from one single voice to another much the same way an ocean sends wave after wave against a beach. The sensor technician looked confused because they did not register it’s presence although everyone on the bridge could hear them.
We are the Ta’Nar.
Who are you to disturb us?
State your business but do not enter the Storm.
It is dangerous.

One of the commanders looked Over at Admiral(OOC: ;) ) Guard. He nodded. Instantly, the Viceroy's sheilds become concentrated at the front.
'I repeat my messege. I am Admiral Guard of the Mole Class Destroyer Viceroy. We come in peace from our Government.

The Sensor Op’s eyes bulged out of his skull as he noticed three of the stellar masses change directions.
“Sir, um, some of those stars are heading toward us.”
Sure enough, if Admiral Guard looked at the display, he would see three blips approaching at high speed. He watched them as they neared the edge of the massive cloud and then with a massive display of crimson electricity, three ebon frigates emerged from the storm, their shields literally lit with discharging crimson electrical arcs as the energy discharged back into the storm.
The three black ships, nearly invisible with the storm behind them except where they blocked out the crimson flashes moved until they were mid way between the Storm and The Viceroy.
The voice returned, echoing through the bridge crew’s minds.
We have arrived.
You may speak

The Admiral smiled. Now he understood the Sensor readings.
'My Government grows concerned about the state of universe. Things are changing, and we do feel as safe as we once were. Many years ago, our two nations helped and supported each other. I have been sent to ask this - Is this still the case?'

The silence that followed was enough to make a seasoned warrior sweat bullets and reconsider the consequences of coming here. The Silence seemed to weigh upon their souls, making Atlas’ burden seem as if it were irrelevant, dandelion fluff borne upon a summer breeze. Then the Voices returned.
It is still so.

The voices answered Admiral Guard after another few seconds of silence.
There are many answers to that question.
They involve invasion and war.
Death and destruction.
Beginning and end.
Hope and despair.
Another pause left Admiral listening to the hum of the instrumentation on the bridge.
It is a long story.
One better told in person.
You will have enter the storm.
We protect you if you allow us to approach.
We will overlap our protective shields to cover your ship.
The voices ceased as they awaited an answer from the Admiral of The Viceroy.

The frigates approached The Viceroy and took position at key locations around the destroyer.
When we obtain out position we will extend our shields.
After they stopped and turned on their axis, a purple haze seemed to expand from each ship, merging with the others until a violet bubble completely enclosed all four ships. Tractor beams reached out and locked the frigates position in relative to the destroyer.
A pilot will arrive shortly to direct your progress into the system. Do not be alarmed.
After a few moments, a form appeared to fade into existence in the center of an unoccupied area of the bridge. The being seemed to be humanoid of about the same height as Admiral Guard. It was dressed in dark blue robes trimmed with grey. The individual turned to face his guests.
"Greetings, I am Tag’Nor. I will be giving you directions to the Fist. The frigates have Anchored themselves to your ship and will move freely with it, keeping The Viceroy safe within the Shields. Please change heading and move forward to these coordinates."
A set of numbers appeared in mid air, almost like a hologram although the source of the projection could not be seen.

As the Frigate's engaged there sheilds, the Viceroy lowered its sheilds to permit the operation to continue.
As the Pilot appeared on the bridge, the Admiral bowed his head and said, 'Welcome to the Viceroy.'
They followed the co-ordinates at maxium impulse speed and entered the storm.

The destroyer, escorted and protected by the trio of frigates moved slowly towards the Force Storm, to test the shields and make sure they were not expanded too far, thinning the protection beyond the point of helping. After the shields resisted the initial cascade of crimson obliteration, the ship continued into the storm. Once past the outer edge, it was easily determined the storm went all the way to the center of the system, according to the sensor distortions that constantly fluctuated as if the clouds were alive and filled with hatred. The crew could feel the Hatred of the storm trying to get at the ship as it pressed against the shields.
The bubbling and boiling of the clouds reminded Admiral Guard of small wormholes and he was not far from wrong. Emperor Palpatine on his deathbed had created the mightiest force storm ever and his enraged spirit kept the storm continuously active, even after his death. (Not my idea, Unified Sith’s.) The result was a chaos of Force and Gravity fluctuation laces with the malevolent energies of Force Lightening that attacked anyone that was not part of the GE.
The clouds of Force dimmed the light of the distant star as they moved intot he system, being assisted by the Frigates to make the passage faster. They passed several cold worlds before finally coming to the center of activity in the system, Asfaltum Prime and her sisted planet Ganoxa.
Hundreds of black ships could be seen waiting within the shadowy all encompassing cloud. Lined up in formation, the Fleets of the Ta’nar were waiting in formation or on patrol in the rest of the system. Their ebon forms were occasionally lit by flashes if bloody lightening, revealing hideous forms of spines and sharp angles that in the dim light seemed to be alive. There was a funny feeling in the air as they passed a particularly large vaguely coffin-shaped thing in orbit that was larger than The Viceroy, a tail of spines trailing off the rear of the thing.
“This is Asfaltum, the planet that was attacked in the battle which took place here. In orbit above her is The Heart of Darkness, the research station constructed out of the corpse of The Executor itself. That is not our destination, it is further.”
The Viceroy continued to move through the oppressive darkness headed towards the nearby planet with funny shaped ships in orbit. From the distance it appeared to be two arrowheads crossed but in the distortion it was hard to clearly tell. Admiral Guard’s attention was instead drawn to a massive station forming directly ahead.
The station was first noticed by the many lights that grew out of the darkness. At first he had thought they were stars peering through the gloom until he could make out the form that contained the beacons. It was as if a massive arm was reaching out of the darkness with a pyramid perched atop. The two arms stretching perpendicular then took form. As they closed, details took form and he noticed a massive barrel poking out of the structure that The Viceroy could dock inside of. The structure had to be at least 40 kilometers or more across from arm to arm. The thing was so massive, it made The Serendipity holding position nearby seem small by comparison.
“That is The Fist of Darkness, the home of Nhur-Galladu. Aside her is The Serendipity, his personal flagship. You have arrives at a most opportune time for he is at home. Take her in on the opposite side of the arm from the flagship.”
The Viceroy nervously moved into the position assigned to her. Once the ship passed a certain point, the force lightning no longer struck the protective shields, being within the massive shield bubble of The Fist itself.
“You are within the protection of the fortress. My job is done and I mist return to my ship. Thank you for following directions so precisely. Your crew’s skill is great and you should be proud of them. You will be contacted by the Fortress next and then you will be given instruction how to proceed. Thank you.”
After that, Tag’Nor began to fade away as he returned to his ship. After a minute or two the Comm officer received a message.
This is The Fist of Darkness. You are to dock with the docking arm at the following coordinates. You are allowed a reasonable escort but not one that is too large. An Honor Guard will be waiting for you outside the docking tube.

Admiral Guard was pondering what he had witnessed
How on Earth had these Balroggians survived in such a hostile Environment?
'Activate landing thrusters, take us into dock!'
'Aye sir!'
The Viceroy swung round to present it's docking port to The Fist. It then moved slowly into position
'Carefully... Careful... '
A metalic click was heard as the two docked. Perfection.
'Well done Commander. You have the bridge'
'Yes sir'
'Have 2 FUSE GVs meet me in the airlock.'
'Aye sir!'
---------------
The air lock door opened, revealing the Admiral and the two FUSE Guard Versions. There eyes lit up green, then orange then back to green. The colour switched several times, as if they were possessed, before it settled on Green. As the Admiral walked forward, he checked his walk so the FUSEs could keep up.

The interior of the station was as huge as the exterior, almost like it was made for creatures that measured 5 meters in height. The result was large hallways, rooms, and chambers that were ringed with platforms and catwalks. The hallway Admiral Guard and his two FUSEs was no exception to sight he would see in the next few minutes as he passed through the airlock.
Waiting inside was a single being much alike the pilot that came aboard the ship. He was wearing grey robes with gold trim. Beside him were two of the strangest beings Admiral Guard had ever seen. Their very appearance seemed to bring forth instinctual fears long thought instinct by his species. The form stood on four legs sprouting from an insect body. From the torso to the top of the eyeless head appeared to be reptilian with four arms ending in unusually long and dexterous too many jointed fingers. Spikes ran from the top of its head down its neck to the end of its abdomen. Rows of teeth filled the maw.
The curious thing was it appeared to be made from a single piece of black metal which seemed both liquid and solid at the same time. The thing actually appeared to be made out of living metal. The humanoid introduced himself.
“Greetings, I am Cal’Tahn. I am to escort you to your quarters so you can freshen up before meeting with His Most Excellence. The Kythons will not harm you, they are your Honor Guard and will accompany us.”
Cal’Tahn gestured the direction he was to head and began to walk. The two Kythons retracted their legs and hovered, bring up the read behind the FUSEs. Cal’Tahn continued talking while he and Guard walked.
“This Fortress was built several centuries ago at the Blackstone System in our Mega-Construction Yards. Three more were planned but they were never finished. This station served as the capital for the Waterhelper Cluster in the Draconus System for a couple centuries, until about twelve years ago when it was moved here. It currently acts as the center of our civilization, the only other station we have being The Heart. While that is used primarily for Research and Development, this is used as the center of power for the Ta’Nar, Childer, and Kythons of Balrogga.”
Cal’Tahn turned a corner and continued walking. He stopped to let a group of robed technicians in yellow and grey robes pass by before continuing.
“Your rooms are right around the corner in the Guest suites. When it is time for the meeting, the intercom near the door will give you a warning and shortly afterwards your escort will arrive to take you to the conference room where you will meet with Nhur-Galladu himself. Please be patient and good luck.”
Cal’Tahn stopped outside a door and it slid into the wall silently. Beyond the door was a luxurious suite of rooms looking very comfortable indeed.

The Admiral made himself comfortable. It would be a long wait.

After a suitable time for the guests to freshen up, help themselves to the replicator, or sit down and relax for a while, the panel next tot he door let out a subdued tone.

Cal’Tahn was waiting outside the door along with what appeared to be the same two Kythons. The Ta’Nar bowed respectfully to Guard and spoke to him.
“Nhur-Galladu is ready to receive your company. If they are needed, your Honorguard may accompany you but we ask they are to be on the best of behavior. Please follow me.”
When Admiral Guard indicated he was ready, Cal’Tahn escorted them through more of the station, showing more sights as they passed them. The group walked past what appeared to be a large window. As they stopped, Guard could see an immense hanger below containing dozens of ships, even what could only be a Carrier. Several objects could be seen to scurry to and fro on the hanger floor below. The chamber on the other side of the partition seemed to be best described as organized chaos.
Cal’Tahn continued onward still moving at what seemed to be a straight line through the station so it was obvious the sights they were seeing was not purposely included in the trip, but areas the route had to take them through. Eventually they ended up in a secure area, from the presence of guard points they had to pass through to get to it. A door was opened and inside was a comfortably decorated room that seemed to be designed for meetings instead of visiting a nation’s leader.
“Please enter and make yourself comfortable, he will be along in a minute or two.”

After a couple minutes of waiting, enough time for the Replicator built into the table to be discovered and whatever refreshment Guard wanted to appear, the door opened and in walked a single being. He appeared to be human and dressed in white robes with gold trim. He seemed to be middle-aged, probably about 40 years old. His physique was undeterminable under the flowing robes he wore. He turned toward his guests and spoke in a soft but easily understood voice that seemed to carry strength without trying.
“Greetings and welcome to our little corner of the Multiverse. I am Nhur-Galladu, the leader of the Ta’Nar, Childer, and the Kythons of Balrogga.”
Nhur-Galladu hesitated for a moment and then said with a smile:

'... Well it's not what has happened, it what isn't happening. Our old friends have gone silent. We are aware of potential threats in the Galaxy. 'My King will be most pleased to hear that.'

02-10-2007, 12:59
'Yes. They were chased out of the Galaxy, their ships destroyed, their armies killed, their planets captured. Of course, our good friend and ally, The Imperial Navy, assisted us.'
The Admiral gives off the impression that there was more to tell, but he continues. 'Anyway, lets move on to the reason I am here. My King shall be informed of what has been said today. In fact, I'm sure he woould be delighted to meet with you.'

02-10-2007, 13:20

Nhur-Galladu was staring at the screen as he spoke. The holo was pulling back from The Fist showing both The Viceroy and The Serendipity in the view, although an arm of the station took up most of the view and both ships were small in comparison.

“Please deliver this to his Highness. It is a transmitter that you can use to contact us here in The Fist. It will allow better communication between us so you do not become lost again. Also tell your King I am looking forward to meeting him and we will drink together to his predecessor.”
The Ta’Nar offered his hand in friendship to Admiral Guard.

Admiral Guard rose to his feet and took Ta’Nar's hand and also saluted him.
'It has been an honour to meet you. If someone could direct me back to my ship?'
The Admiral was led out, followed by his two Fuses. On the way back was much more able to take in the station. It looked even more impressive second time round!
They eventually reached the Viceroy. The 3 of then boarded the Mole Class Destroyer.
Admiral Guard returned to his bridge. The crew was clearly unnerved at being inside the Force storm.
'Welcome back a... a.. Admiral' The commander uttered.
'Thank you. We are to leave this storm and then contact High Command. Be careful when leaving.'
When the Viceroy's escort arrived, the docking clamps were released. As the Viceroy powered away, a poor decision led to a loud Metalic clang as one of the engines clipped the station, and the ship violently pitched to the side before regaining control.
'Commander!!!!!!!'
'Sorry, sir.'
The collision didn't appear to damage either party, so the Viceroy continued into the sheild bubble being provided by the escort
Passing back through the storm, the crew become and more and more anxious. Several times, they almost steered the Viceroy out of the safety bubble, and to certain distruction.
Eventually, the Viceroy made it safely out of the storm. The wave of relief throughout the ship was strong. Even the Viceroy seemed to relax.
The Viceroy sent a coded transmission back to Mole space. A few seconds a response came back. After several such exchanges, the Viceroy used the new transmitter to contact The fist

Space tore asunder as a black rend formed and ripped open. Energy readings spiked as a burst of Hawking Radiation flashed outward and the aperture stabilized. The hole in space-time was enormous, there was no possible way of hiding it from a blind man, it was just too big.
Ships began to emerge from the center of the swirling mass and entered the area in groups until a whole fleet numbering over a hundred ships was back in Real Space. They quickly moved and took position as if they were assembling for a parade. That was when the guest of honor arrived.
At over ten kilometers in length, the wedge shaped vessel began to emerge and seemed to take forever to exit the aperture. As the last of the spikes finally cleared the hole torn in space, the wormhole collapsed and the tare evaporated as if it was never there.
The Serendipity had arrived.
The Honorguard took their assigned positions as the fleet formed an escort formation, scanning for anything that might be a danger. Aboard the massive ship, The Serendipity, Nhur-Galladu watched the fleet as it formed up ranks in the empty system.
“Grand Admiral Rdz’Quix, where are we?”
“Sire, we have arrived at the assigned coordinates. There appears to be nothing here. We are scanning for anything the sensors might have missed.”
“Keep searching. Let me know if you find anything.”
“Should I send a message?”
“No, there isn’t any way we can hide our ships and they are expecting us. They will reveal themselves when they are ready.”

Seconds later, 3 Frigates exited hyperspace, a few kilometres from The Serendipity. They were Mole ships, yet they said nothing.
They advanced on The Serendipity, scanning the large fleet as they did. 3 kilometres. 2 kilometres. Then they stopped. Whatever they had been looking, they had
'This is Captain Maverick of the Modified Mole class Frigate Flagship to The Serendipity, we should have been here to meet you. We apologise for the dlay.'

A message was immediately returned to thefrigates.
This is The Serendipity. We have arrived for a meeting with an important member of your nation. Please pardon the Escort. It is tridition the Honorguard protects the Warlord at every moment.
What do you wish us to do now?

Before the Frigate could answer, there was a massive disturbance in Hyperspace
4 Gigantic Super Mole Destroyers exited hyperspace, followed 15 MCD, 30 Interdictors, 50 Frigates.
Then came the Super Cruiser, the King's own Flagship, the largest ship in the Mole Space Corps.
'This is Super Cruiser Mole to The Serendipity, we apologise for the delay. Welcome to Mole Space.'

Nhur-Galladu motioned to his Grand Admiral. Rdz'Quix issued a command and the escort began to move, creating a semicircle around The Serendipity extending backwards, leaving the area in front of the flagship empty as a show of trust.
It did not matter the massive dreadnaught was more powerful than the entire escort fleet, it was intentions that mattered most.
We are here to honor an invitation by our old friends Moleland. We mean you no harm nor have any dishonorable intentions behind this meetings. I, Nhur-Galladu, welcome you.

A singular message was replied back to the Moleland fleet. It was filled with confidence and was from the Warlord himself.
I will be right over. I don't believe I need any escort but out of custom, I will bring my advisor Overmind and two Kythons as my escort.
Nhur-galladu waited for his hosts to arrive and boarded the shuttle.
Moleland 2
03-10-2007, 22:54
They were greeted by an officer.
'Welcome aboard gentleman...' and then the Kythons 'and erm... erm... gentle creatures'
The officer hurried away leaving two troops. 'Please take your seats'
The shuttle left the docking port of The Serendipity and accelerated towards The Mole. As it flew, 3 squadrons of Hyper fighters escorted towards The Mole. A few minutes later, the shuttle was underneath the huge Super Cruiser. The ridiculous number of Turrets and Guns could be clearly seen.
The Shuttle came eventually under the huge ships Hanger bay. The tracter beam activate, pulling the shuttle in. In response, the shuttle liftted its wings into a landing position.
The shuttle entered the massive hanger. The passengers were invited to leave the shuttle down the boarding ramp. Several armed troops and a commander was waiting at the bottom.
He spoke 'Welcome to Super Cruiser Mole. I hope your journey was comfortable?'
Balrogga
03-10-2007, 23:15
"It was as comfortable as any shuttle ride can be. Your pilot is both courteous and skillful."
Nhur-Galladu gentured towards his crew. The two Kythons were their normal unsettling selves and Overmind was simply standing there emotionless. The one thing that was noticable was his appearance was simular to the Kythons in that he was composed out of the same liquid but solid black metal as they were. Otherwise he was a balb humanoid that resembled a human.
"This is Overmind. He is the Avatar of the Kythons. We are all gladened to finally meet you."

'Thank you. But there are many a Mole more senior than me, and that is why you came this distance. To meet them. I'm correct aren't I? Follow me.
The Commander led them across the Hanger bay. It was fairly empty, with the exception of fighters landing and taking off. After crossing the bay the Commander gestured towards what resembled a Monorail cart.
'We shall use this to reach the correct sector for the meeting. It will take must of the day otherwise.'
Once everyone was seated, the cart rapidly accelerated forward and up. A few minutes later, It came to a stop.
'We have arrived at our Destination. Sector Mu. If you would like to follow me?'
They left the cart. There were several corridors which all looked fairly similar, and one could imagine how frightening it would be lost in such a maze. The corridors, although not Dark, were not bright either. As the Commander led them along a winding course through the ship, all the control panels seemed really bright in the Gloom. They passed the occasional crew member, who paid little interest in them.
The corridors all had black floors with white walls and ceilings which were clean and polished. As they passed one of the many crossroads in the corridor, what appeared to be a cleaning droid was spotted; waiting for them to pass. Although the ship was indeed of an impressive size, despite the ceilings only being 6 1/2 feet high, everything seemed to have a function. Little detail had been paid to making it look artistic and beautiful.
However, as they continued past unmanned check points, some decoration did appear. The Moleland flag (http://www.nationstates.net/images/flags/uploads/moleland_2.jpg) with a Crown above it were seen, decorating the wall occasionally to give the feeling of some importance to this ship. However, even this lacked an artistic edge. It looked rather amateurish and from the mind of someone who wasn't quite clear on the effect he was after. One could have thought of a better idea for decoration.
After a journey of what seemed several miles, they reached their destination. The length of the Journey made Nhur-Galladu feeled relieved that the internal Monorail existed.
'Please enter here' Said the Commander, gestering towards what appeared a large room. 'You are expected'
As the party entered, a small dinosaur-like creature measuring just under 3 foot in height; ran straight at Nhur-Galladu bearing a mouth full of sharp teeth. A feet away from him, a noise of varying pitch was heard. Nhur-Galladu was left to conclude it was some sort of language. Whatever it was, the creature turned around and head towards the rear of the room.
In the centre of the room was a table. On one side 4 empty chairs, wehre Nhur-Galladu and his delegation were expected to sit. Opposite them were 3 other seats, 2 of them occupied. On the Left hand side sat what appeared to be a high ranking officer of some description. From what Nhur-Galladu knew about Mole aging, he appeared to be very old.
Seated in the Right hand seat, was another mole. He was not as old as the first, but he did not appear young. He also wore a well 'decorated' uniform, although it was cleary different from the first.
Standing behind his seat was the youngest Mole in the room. His clothing was the least spectacular of the three and he didn't appear to be the King until Nhur-Galladu noticed the Crown on his head. For a moment Nhur-Galladu was unsure how he had not noticed this straight away. The crown was clearly made of pure Gold, and had many precious stones in it. However something wasn't quite right about it. Just like the decoration in the corridor, it looked like someone who had no idea what a crown should look like had been responsible for its design.
Nhur-Galladu's gaze then fell upon the wearer of the crown. He was young, surprisingly young. He looked at least a third of the age of the other two moles in the room. Nhur-Galladu also noticed that he appeared to wear his crown with such distain, almost as though he wish he didn't have to.
When the King spoke, Nhur-Galladu reckonised it as the same voice who had made strange noise earlier 'Sorry about Steven's behaviour' apparantly referring to the strange creature 'He is only 16 months old and not fully trained yet. Anyway, welcome on board. I am the King of Moleland. Do sit down.'

As they were approaching the group and the creature ran out to meet them, Nhur-Galladu remained unfazed by the averted attack. Overmind kept control over the jumpy Kythons so they remained motionless.
They continued uneventfully to the meeting table. When they arrived, Nhur-Galladu took a seat but none of the others could. The structure of the Kythons prevented them from reclining in a chair, being basically 2 meter insects. Overmind was composed of solid Thur’Tahg and its weight would have splintered the chairs if it tried to use one. Overmind took a position behind the right shoulder of the Ta’Nar and stood silently and motionless. The two Kythons took flanking positions around Overmind and struck its same pose.
“Do not worry about him; he would not have hurt me. I am not composed of ordinary flesh and he would have found me inedible and rather not very tasty. No harm done.”
The Ta’Nar seemed to take a deep breath before beginning the introductions.
“I am Nhur-Galladu, the Warlord of the Ta’Nar, and the Emperor of Balrogga. This is my advisor Overmind and two Kythons. Please forgive their inability to sit. They will not interfere with the meeting.”
Moleland 2
04-10-2007, 15:26
'Do not worry.' He responded. As he was speaking he took something from a machine in the corner. A closer glance of the machine allowed it be indentified as similar replicator machines.
The King held the raw, bloody limb of some animal that Nhur-Galladu had never seen before. The King threw the limb in the direction of the small creature. The creature jumped up and 'attacked' the limb with a rapid volley of claws and bites. When it was 'dead' the creature tore the meat off the bone with frightening viciousness.
The King wiped his hand on a cloth and put to one side. He then took his Seat.
'To my left is General Crane. To my Right is Grand Admiral Hawking. I hope your Journey here wasn't to uncomfortable?'

“The trip was quite enjoyable, as is any aboard The Serendipity. She has treated me well over the centuries.”
Nhur-Galladu sampled the liquid refreshment at the table and nodded to his host.
“Quite refreshing. We had just left another meeting with an old friend and ally, Chronosia. The meeting went quite well and I believe my nation has made new contacts with others that may assist in future relations. IT was a productive visit indeed.”
The Ta’Nar set the glass back down and looked at the King.
“What would you have us discuss? It feels like you have many questions that yearn for answers.”
Moleland 2
04-10-2007, 19:07
'Chronosia? We know that nation. But, we are not here to discuss that. We are busy people, so I'll come straight to the point. What has happened in Balroggia?'
Balrogga
04-10-2007, 21:35
“What happened?”
The leader of the Ta’Nar hesitated a moment before continuing.
“Things have changed and we saw reality as it really is instead of through rose-colored glasses.”
Nhur-Galladu took another drink.
“When the GE made a push into the Milky Way, one of the places was the dual system of Asfaltum and Ganoxa, which was only ten light years away from our own Kala-Keihm system. We tried to assist them by setting aside differences with a couple members of the GFFA, namely the Abh and Coreworlds."
"The Admiral of the task force that first arrived on the scene, his name was Ba’El, even suggested a covert mission to land on the planet Asfaltum to see what Palpatine was after while at the same time we were evacuating Ganoxa to a far location. During the mission, Ba’El observed several atrocities and attempted to intervene to stop civilian causalities, namely the bombardment of the planet by long range shots from Coreworlds and Abh ships. For that noble deed he was forced to return to his quarters and locked in and put under guard.”
“When they got to the planet, he was allowed out and then placed in the covert party. During the mission he protected the members of the team and specifically saved Daniel, the Coredian leader from sniper activity. The infiltration of the underground ruins was made possible by Ba’El and his abilities. They encountered the Imperial forces in a chamber and Ba’El yet again saved everyone there from a situation that would have vaporized everyone down there without exception.”
“While he was unconscious, Daniel and the Abh Royal Prince named Doran left him behind, as well as Colonial forces sent by the Twelve Colonies in order to save their own skins. They left those colonial forces to be slain and Ba’El to be captured by Vader. They betrayed his trust and mine.”
“When Emperor Palpatine died and created an immense Force Storm around in and around the entire Asfaltum/Ganoxa system, it seemed as if the truth was revealed to me. The next day we went to the capital of the GE to retrieve Ba’El and Vader instead wished to have him to be his Apprentice. I approved and elevated Ba’El from Admiral to Advisor to allow him to have the time to accomplish his new duties.”
“So after betrayal by leaders of supposed friendly nations and great treatment by the enemy we had fought we determined the GE to be much more Honorable than the GFFA members. That is why we sided with the GE. We spent a dozen years cleansing the world of nuclear irradiation from the supposed defenders and allies of Asfaltum so it could be inhabited again. Emperor Vader asked this of us himself, showing he was concerned for any survivors left after the allies of Asfaltum did their dishonorable deed.”
Nhur-Galladu took another drink after speaking.
“That is what has happened in a nutshell.”
He placed the glass back on the table and looked at the King.
“I have found records of your involvement in the GE from long ago. If you are interested, I could put in a good word for you. Your return would be seen as a great event to the others in the Galactic Empire. There have been many changes and much lies from the propaganda machines of the rebels that we have experienced personally as a nation to be completely false.”
“For centuries we have plotted against the GE in preparation of our eventual meeting them in combat. We have devised many weapons designed to cripple their ships and to bring them to ruin, making no effort to hide those actions from them. When we showed up upon their doorstep, the Emperor not only overlooked our past works but took us in and forgave us. He took in my betrayed officer and placed him into a trusted position of being the third most powerful individual in the entire GE.”
“For such trust placed in an enemy, we cannot help but be humbled by their actions.”
“Forgive me, I digress again. I hope that has answered your question.”

OOC: No problem. That was enough.
IC: The General looked angry in response to the story, whereas the Grand Admiral looked unmoved.
The King responded, 'That is indeed sad news you bring us here. Our movements towards the Galactic Empire were made by predcessor, and although I do consider them hostile, I remain uncertain of them. ...' The King was about to contnue, but a loud cracking noise was heard in the corner. The strange creature had finished the meat, and was now noisily chumping on the bone.
The King shot it a disapproving Glance for a few seconds, before returning to Nhur-Galladu 'For you see, you mention wars raging on. The last thing I want to do is side with someone I'm uncertain of, in a War I know little about. We've done that before' The way 'we've' was said, was almost as though the King Meant I've
'Now, the force. My two 'Advisors' here will know little about, but I've done a little research on it. Although our knowledge of it is based on myth, rumour, legend, magic 8 balls you get the idea. It seems to me to almost be magical in its abilities, yet it is devided into 'dark' and 'light'. No mole has ever been proven to be in contact with the force, was has led many of our thinkers to say that the force doesn't exist, but I disagree. I...'
The King stopped. 'But I'm going off on a tangent. I've never heard of a 'force storm' before. What is it?'
Balrogga
05-10-2007, 12:30
“Balrogga has only a single force user, Ba’El. From reports he has made about the Force, the descriptions are also propaganda. It appears there are mainly two groups of users, called light and dark by the rebels and done so long enough that it has become accepted terminology. According to his reports the two sides are divided by emotional feeling and emotionless logic.”
“The ‘Darkside’ is guided by one’s emotions: love, hate, courage, fear. You literally put yourself into the ability and it is used by the Sith. The ‘Lightside’ is governed by cold uncaring emotionless logic. This is what the Jedi use. It also explains how the Coredians can be such emotionless monsters which can abandon a fellow compatriot during a mission, willingly long range bomb a planet they are trying to save, set off black hole bombs in a crowded capital city full of citizen refugees, and allow entire planets to pay for their own selfish decisions.”
“Perhaps my views are distorted but the actions of Daniel Masaki fit those descriptors exactly and those actions I have described are actual events which have happened in the recent past.”
Nhur-Galladu had a look flash across his face that only was there momentarily but the King could see the distaste he was feeling.
“Ba’El even witnessed a Coredian Jedi Master use their possession of a child to make the mother decide favorably for them in an extradition case. Hers was the deciding vote and he had to mention her daughter in a cryptic way to make her side with him. They have no Honor.”
The King could tell Nhur-Galladu really disliked these Coredians for their cowardly actions. The Ta’Nar calmed himself and put his political face back on.
“Sorry, I got off on a tangent. You asked about the Force Storm? Let me see if I can explain.”
The Ta’Nar took a breath and thought for a moment.
“Well, it seems there are two type of force storms and the could surrounding the system is a combination of both. The first is an actual storm laced with crimson lightning that strikes and concentrated on those not aligned with you. You can unleash it on your battlefield and the lightning will mainly leave your forces alone and decimate the enemy.”
“The other form would be a cloud of miniature wormholes. It can tear apart ships my mobbing different parts to different areas or if the user wishes move a ship or person caught in it to a single location like a teleport. Using sensors, the cloud appears to be composed of the masses of singularities or stars, literally hundreds to thousands of them. It messes with navigation unless you jump without your fail safes activated meaning you could hit a planet or real star somewhere between the start and finish of your voyage.”
“The combination of the two creates a cloud charged with and fueled by the rage of Palpatine’s dead spirit and it will remain there as long as he does. The energy surges are enough to disintegrate ships and if your shields are weakened then the wormholes will get your ship. The only way to be even remotely safe is to be aligned with the Galactic Empire, and even then it is best to have a good set of shields to protect yourself from the random surges.”
“Now, your turn. Tell me what has happened with your nation.”

The King looked a little surpirsed by Nhur-Galladu's outburst. But he moved on
'Of course. Where should I start?'

Nhur-Galladu smiled at his host.
"The beginning is usually a good place. It helps stave off confusion."
Moleland 2
05-10-2007, 13:20
The King smiled back
'A good suggestion. Very well. I know my Admiral told you about the Hyacombian Federation. They appeared from TIN space, and claimed that our Planets were rightfully theirs. Their first major 'success' was killing my predcessor. He was a good friend of mine...'' The King paused, apparantly too overcome with sorrow to continue. However, he quickly regained his composure
'TIN and us fought the Hyacombians, scoring countless victories and capturing planet, after planet. However, the hyacombians had made a super weapon. A giant.. organic planet eater. They had decided if they couldn't rule the Galaxy, nobody would. It was invincible! No attack we launched could stop it. Then, one of my Grand Admirals made a brave decission. He flew his MCD straight into the creatures mouth! Once inside, he sacrficed his ship and himself by detonating his ship. The Monster was killed, and Moleland was saved. That Grand Admiral went down as a hero. His name was...' The King glanced over at the strange creature, that by now had finished eating and was sleeping in the corner, '... Grand Admiral Stevens.'
'The Hyacombians did not threaten us again after that. Sephiroth had not re-appeared to threaten our boarders, so we started a policy of rebuilding and er... 'upgrading'. We dropped off the 'pedal' of the Galaxy to give us space, time and privacy to do this. When we returned, our old Allies did not answer our hails. So, we came looking for you.'
Balrogga
05-10-2007, 13:28
“I am saddened by your sorrows. Please accept my condolences.”
Nhur-Galladu bowed his head to the Mole Ruler in respect. When he heard of the tactic employed by Grand Admiral Stevens he chuckles slightly.
“I see, they made the beast invulnerable to everything but forgot to armor the inside. Good thinking on his part. Too bad he wasn’t able to do the deed remotely. It is good to honor the Great among your nation. It gives your people something to take pride in. So many rulers are caught up on personal issues that they seem to forget about the people that rely upon them for their every day existences and well being. You seem to be doing a good job.”
The Ta’Nar paused to take another drink and replaced the glass on the table.
“What would you require from Balrogga? How can we assist you?”
Moleland 2
05-10-2007, 13:39
The King's faced gained a Mischievous look as responded '[i]Perhaps the question should be, what can Moleland do for Balroggia? You gave us starfighter factories. Although we have used them to exhaustion, and they are little more than orbital container Platforms, we used them well. Secondly, you helped us when we fought Sephiroth in the Waste of Space system, and we never asked for help.'
'For these two acts of Friendship, you have asked for nothing in return. So I ask, what can Moleland do for you.'
Balrogga
05-10-2007, 14:04
Nhur-Galladu, expecting a request was taken aback by the offer to assist Balrogga. He could not think of anything they might need at the moment and he searched for something to say.
“Help us? I haven’t a clue. Those deeds were done in good friendship and we never expected anything in return. It is best to give and not to expect.”
Moleland 2
05-10-2007, 14:11
'Us Moles always remember those who help us. If we can not help you now, perhaps one day we will.'
The King handed Nhur-Galladu a datapad. 'If you add these details to your ships transmitters, when they are within range of our Comm satt network, will allow your ships to contact us rapidly. If you require assistance in space we can safely enter, I promise at leaset one ship will come to your aid.'
'Secondly, I partially open up Mole space to all your ships. Should accidently stray into it, or flee into it, my ships will not stop you. You shall be treated as friendly, and we shall offer what assitance we can.'
'I would like to visit your space sometime. You must let us know if and when that Storm clears.
Balrogga
05-10-2007, 14:44
“I appreciate your offer and will humbly accept it. As far as the Storm, it has lasted more than a dozen years and shows no sign of diminishing. I don’t know if you will ever see the day it clears because it is fueled by the passions of Palpatine and he is beyond physical means nor care other than protecting those of the GE as best he can.”
Nhur-Galladu bowed his head in respect.
“You can be safely ferried aboard one of our ships or even surrounded by the overlapped shields of several of mine like The Viceroy experienced.”
Moleland 2
05-10-2007, 14:47
'Perhaps I will, someday.' He paused, 'My Admiral already made it clear of what we wanted, so is there anything else you require?'
Balrogga
05-10-2007, 15:10
“Nothing at this moment, but perhaps just me asking that you at least reconsider joining the GE with us. We have been in it for more than a decade and are quite pleased. If you desire to even try it out you must ask us and I will personally vouch for you. That is the last I will ask for I do not wish to pester you.”
Nhur-Galladu finished the contents of his glass and placed it on the table.
“If you are ever in the area you have a standing invitation to visit. If I am in residence or soon to be you will be hosted as a true friend. If you need mutual protection you may seek us out.”
The Ta’Nar took the data pad and handed it to Overmind. The pad turned black and melted into Overmind’s hands, completely disappearing.
“It is done Grandfather.”
Nhur-Galladu turned back to the Mole King.
“Those adjustments you requested are incorporated. If you have a ship within range of us we can hear your call. Your pet seems content.”
Moleland 2
05-10-2007, 15:18
'Pet?' The King followed Nhur-Galladu's gaze to the creature on the floor.
'Oh, you mean him! It's called a fusebox. I've never understood why they were called that. Perhaps because of their tendency to 'blow a fuse' and go from docile from ripping your arm out of its socket in half a second. I'm training one, more as an extra pair of eyes and ears more than a pet. I always find fuseboxes more in touch with the environment than Bodyguards, and when they reach 2, they can be more effective than bodyguards... not to mention more loyal.'
Balrogga
05-10-2007, 16:20
“Well, it looks like it could be quite impressive of a hunter. I can recognize the instincts in its actions. The way it tracks its prey, the structure of its jaw, the talons, it could be formable indeed.”
Nhur-Galladu motioned towards one of the Kythons.
“We created our own Predator ourselves.”
Moleland 2
05-10-2007, 16:26
'I see... I thought it looked... different.' He replied, obviously not sure exactly how to describe it. 'Fuseboxes are lethal pack hunters. When they grow older they can use stored gases to spit out a flame and also spit lightening. We haven't been able to find out how they able to do the latter, as they seem quite experiment shy.'
Balrogga
05-10-2007, 16:34
The Ta’Nar thought for a moment before speaking.
“Probably bioelectric, like the Eels on Earth and several other creatures that use electricity as a weapon. The Kythons are basically in their own class and capable of removing a starship in a swarm formation. They could possibly destroy it in smaller groups but why waste units by under deploying. They are all linked together so they coordinate their positions as if using a single mind. This allows them to weave in and out of each others attacks without friendly fire.”
“There are more but Grand Admiral Ga’Ton was their chief designer thus their creator and father.”
At the mention of Ga’Ton’s name, Overmind looked up as if to see if he was near.
Moleland 2
05-10-2007, 16:59
'Quite possibly. These... Kythons are indeed most interesting. Is there anything else you wish to know?'
Balrogga
05-10-2007, 17:05
"Not that I can think of at this moment."
Overmind stopped looking around for Father and returned his attention to the two leaders.
Moleland 2
05-10-2007, 17:10
The king was slightly amused by Overminds behaviour, but made no comment.
'Then I shall detain you no longer.' He reached forward to shake Nhur-Galladu's hand. The other two moles also rose to shake their guests hands
'Fairwell my honoured friend. I hope we meet again in the future. Have a safe journey home'
Balrogga
05-10-2007, 17:18
Nhur-Galladu also reached for the hand of the Mole King, making sure his hand was solid but not too hard, feeling like flesh, the telekinetic fields slightly yielding and warmed to body temperature. It would be indistinguishable from normal meat and skin of a normal corporeal being.
“It has been a great honor meeting you finally after all these years. Remember my invitations and do not be afraid to accept any.”

'I will. You are always welcome at Mole Mountain, where I am based.'
The commander was waiting as they left. With in no time they were back in the hanger bay. 'Goodbye. Thanks for visitng!'
The boarding ramp rose back up into the shuttle. It's landing thrusters engaged, and the shuttle flew back towards where Nhur-Galladu's ship was waited. The shuttle docked wihout incident, allowing its distinquished passengers to disembark.

“Your skills are exemplatory. Please accept this gift.”
He handed the pilot a small trinket, a simple bauble but still a gift from another nation’s leader in thanks. After the Mole shuttle left, he sent orders to Grand Admiral Rdz’Quix to return to Asfaltum.
Within a few minutes, another wormhole tore through Real Space and the fleet entered it, leaving Mole Territory.
