((OOC: I dont want any comments such as this is impossible if you wish to say that please refer to UN resolution 50 also Im taking most of these ideas out of a book from the '70s))
The Firehelper Space agency has recently announced plans for a Manned Station on the moon. This project ,code named New Genesis, involves the use of a base located at the pole of the moon.

This base will involve the local production of food, water, and oxygen. The base with be situated at the poles. This location coupled with the use of robots will be able to use the local lunar rock to provide the materials nessecary for the food water and oxygen. This will be provided by a dome in which mirrors will focus sunlight onto ice and rock thereby making the rocks and ice give off H2O, CO2, and N2. This carbon dioxide and sunlight will be able to allow photosythesis and the growth of plants. Artificial lighting will allow for the continued growth of plants at night. These plants will give off oxygen which will be combined with the nitrogen to form a breathable atmosphere in the primary habitat.

Power can be provided by several means. In the day power can be produced by large solar arrays that will provide the energy necessary for the base. The power can also be produced by stream generated by the rock-ice conversion process. At night power can still be provided by nuclear generators. These three systems can power the station night and day with limited need for refueling except for the occasional shipment of fissionable material. Energy will be stored in several high capacity batteries
The habitation modules will be modular and similar to those on the International space station. These modules will also house several laboratories to conduct experiments which will benefit humanity. There will also be a large observatory based on the moon to aid in our understanding of the universe.

Construction will take place over two decades with the help of automated robots that will deploy the prefabricated modules after being delivered via rocket from the earth.

The overall goal for this mission will not only be the research and development of new technologies and things beneficial to humanity but also for future colonization and a station to act as a midway point from the earth to mars (Though i doubt this will ever happen). Any questions may be relayed to the FSA.

Skyetech Industries applaudes the Firehelper Space Agencies effort. As such, we would like to help in any way we can, and we would be willing to offer our space and technological capacities in any way we can. We would also like to take part in your colonization effort.

A a gesture of goodwill, we will make available the space-based infrastructure we are not using currently.

We hope that we may work together in the future.

Message to Skyetech Industries
From: Firehelper Space Agency
Your interest and proposed help in the lunar base is appreciated. However, this is not as of yet a colonisation program, rather it is the establishment of a scientific base on the moon. This may eventually become a lunar colony but such things are not being planned yet as they are too far in the future.
If you would like to participate in the scientific base you are welcome to send modules up to the base to add to it in the spirit of international cooperation.

We would also like to take up your offer of the use of space infrastructure. However, before using it we would like a list of avalible systems. The Firehelper government has invested much money in this project and is also willing to pay for the use of avalable facilities.

(OOC: Skyetech is low to middle PMT)

IC:

We presently have a wide array of space-borne craft, as well as launching platforms using Gauss-gun technology. All in all, we can place conceivably deliver 500 tons of material into space per week if we run at maximum capacity.

Our previous work in Space has been primarily contracting service for The Community, and we have a dozen small space stations that serve as outposts for the frequent upkeep required. These serve as mobile powering, refueling and resupply stations that permit us to extend our operating capacities beyond that of a normal mission.

We also employ a large number of personnel who have completed their compulsory military service in The Community's air force and air defense program and we cooperate with the University of Esmund College of Engineering. All in all, we would be willing to supply you with a team of 100 personnel whose academic backgrounds are in physical science, engineering and mathematics and have excelled in service in the nation's skies.

Because of the nature of these operations, we feel that issuing a cost estimate for the use of all of our facilities would be horribly inaccurate. Prices of our services will depend on the time of the operations, and how much of our resources you will need. At this point, we are willing to completely cover the cost of the personnel for 10 years, provided that the technology developed under them be considered proprietary technology for Skyetech Industries and not be used outside of the Space Program or any other project we authorize relating to this program.

Contact us with further details.

((Yes.... I think Ill be making this the first thread of Firehelper's PMT parallel... I hate logging into the seperate accounts I have for FT and PMT so ill start to use this for all of them))
Firehelper is greatful for your assistance. We will be happy to use the stations launched by your nation as we have not yet reached the capability of such technology.

Excellent. All operations on our end will be personally managed by the technical director of space operations, Dr. Dean Fallon. I, personally, feel it would be in order to arrange a meeting between our mutual project managers. We would be happy to host this meeting if you are interested.
