Caelapene Foreign Mission Establishment Programme

The Federation of Caelapes, no longer an isolationist fortification, has established the Foreign Missions Office in order to improve international relations and spur diplomacy and foreign trade. To that end, a section of the Caelapene cultural capital, Torine, has been reconstructed to serve as a hub of international peace and unity. Torine features an exhilarating view of the crystal clear waters of the Arey Bay to the south and cream-peaked cliffs of the beautiful and appropriately named Bijoux Mountains to the northwest. Street festivals are not uncommon and offer a close-at-hand look at Caelapene life and culture.

Privatised health insurance, although the Ministry of Human Wellbeing is starting to join the growing voice asking Parliament for social healthcare in Caelapes.

National Security
National security is of the utmost importance, and the Federation of Caelapes maintains sovereignty patrols throughout its archipelagic waters and airspace on a daily basis. The Ministry of Defense and National Security is charged with preventing attacks on Caelapene soil, be it conventional warfare or terrorism.

Economy
Primarily free market, with government-imposed sanctions on select nations and products, such as tobacco and marijuana.

Military Force
Caelapes maintains and responsibly directs its Aeronavy worldwide, engaging in primarily peacekeeping operations, such as the Freekish invasion of British Londinium, Akimonadi annexation of the Far Echo Islands, and the Londinian Fifth Civil War.

NBC Weaponry
Caelapes does not at this time own any nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons, nor is it stockpiling any such weaponry. NBC weapons use is among the most devastating and barbaric of all forms of warfare, and does not have the support of the Caelapene government.

Torture
All Caelapene citizens are protected from Police or Cri-Stop coercion. Torture is illegal across the Federation, but alternative interrogation methods, specially developed to prevent psychological, physical, mental, or other damage to suspects, are considered legal.

Imperialism
Caelapes does not support imperialism, as a supporter of national sovereignty. However, the Caelapene government also recognizes that military intervention for non-imperialist reasons is legitimate even if it is construed as an imperialist action by other nations.
