Atlas is the legendary titan who according to greek and roman myth, held the world upon his shoulders as punishment by Zues or defying his will; the CJ-19 is capable of carrying one of the largest payloads of any aircraft out there, 24,000 pounds heavier than the C-130! With 500 cubic meters of available storage space the CJ-19 in its passenger configuration can carry 100 passengers, 70 airborne troops, or 80 men on litters with up to 3 medical staff.
Capabilities
The Altas is designed to be modular and can be converted with minimal effort for various roles including: cargo transport, gunship, flying radar/monitering station, passenger plane, troop transport, refeuling plane, and more.
Defense/Durability
The Atlas was designed for survivability since obviously this aircraft is too large, slow, and bulky to avoid most attacks made on it. Several systems have been included onboard the Atlas to improve its chances should it fall under attack. Firstly we began with the most obvious route and added a full missile countermeasures system including auto deploying chaff and ECM. Secondly, the more vulnerable parts of the aircraft have been reinforced with additional armor, increasing the aircraft's overall toughness. Each engine has it's own independant fuel supply provided by self-resealing tanks inside each wing and can be turned on or off seperatly to decrease fuel useage rates, fuel is even able to be re-routed from one tank to another. The Altas can run on only two engines provided it is not carrying its maximum payload and three while fully loaded (albiet at slower than normal speeds). Finally, the cabin and the cargo area are seperatly pressureized meaning that damage to the main body will pose a much lesser threat to the crew. We also equipped the CJ-19 with 2 back-up flight systems.
Aeronautics
The CJ-19 Atlas primarily uses a hydraulic flight system with a backup hydraulic system and a tirtiary mechanical system if things get really hairy.
The CJ-19 is used in: 10 nations including: SaintB, Calizorinstan, The World Soviet Party, Spectare, Greal, Oblivion2, A Man Named Paul, OK-La-Homa, Faxanavia, and Fson
