Well a good place to start is NSWiki there's all kinds of made up religions there. Well if you want suggestions you can telegram me directly. I would be more than happy to help

Regarding the subject of this thread, Statute, there are countless religions around the world from which you can draw inspiration. I would suggest doing a little information hunting, look up some of the less well-known faiths and do your work based upon those. Even the major globe spanning faiths like Catholicism, Islam and Christianity have numerous sub-groups with various differences of doctrine and ideology.

When I created a religion, I based it around a real religion (Wicca) and modified it. I haven't fully posted everything about Fegosism, but it mainly involves a worship of nature.
You could try a more classic religion in which you have either one or many gods.
It could even be a branch from the development of the Abrahamic fiaths: after all, Sikhism, Judaism, Islam and Christiantiy all come from the same root?
