This is an rp i wanted to make after reading the book Earth Abides. It's about a man and a group of surivors that live after the earth gets hit by a deadly plague, man is all but wiped out. Your charecter will talk about surviving and such, searching through stores, driving down empty highways. I was wondering if anyone wanted in, i was going to RP by myself for awhile.

They were scared to lose their child to the government beacause of the one child policy they abandon him at a The Shaolin Martial Arts temple. where they begin training him in External and Internal and Shaolin Martial Arts. after finishing training and going to study other foreign martial arts. he begin to look for his parents and soon after the deadly plague hit everybody he know was gone in his life and found himself alone in the USA Except for a select few people

they mention some groups, mostly small groups of people, for one there was a mentioning of the people of god, a relgions fanatic group.

there more way to rebuild with out electrical, poeple all ways find way to rebuild after something likes this, hell there are tons of books and tv shows with this idea

yes but the sheer lack of people renders it almost useless. I READ THE BOOK it explains this.

He knows these supplies won't last forever, so he tries to teach the children science, math, and even literacy, but the children are uninterested because they've grown up in a world where such things are unnecessary.

Just as the Native American Ishi left the wilderness as the last carrier of his tribe's culture, by the end of Earth Abides, the reader understands that Ish is the last carrier of American civilization since Stewart refers to Ish as "the last American." At the end, Ish is an old man, the last remaining person who lived in the old times. The other members of his tribe have become efficient hunter-gatherers who treat him as something of a god; superstition has set in, despite Ish's efforts to teach against it. But Ish wonders if the new world is that much worse off than the old world, and finds himself hoping that the new world will not rebuild civilization and its mistakes. As he dies, Ish knows the others will commit his body to the Earth, but he also knows that in a way, people have always been committed to the Earth.

Gender: Male
Background: He was in a major port in LA when the plague hit. He was working with the Navy's Marine Mammal Program. He often feels more at home on the water than on land.
lives(what part of the USA do you live in?): Where ever the Navy stations him, but he identifies his home as Prichard's Island, South Carolina
looks: 6'2", short hair, stout build, hair is naturally brown but is almost bleached blonde from the sun and the sea, skin is very tan despite Caucasian decent for the same reasons.
clothing: Naval Officers' Uniform, several pairs of Levis and a variety of screened t's.
