Official Message from the Minister of Diplomatic Affairs

Nations of the World,
Today, the Akronian government is pleased to annouce that we have established our first ever colony. As we began to grow as a nation, we realized that we would need more space for people, agriculture, cities and homes. And so we began settlement of a small island chain to our west, even smaller than Akronis. It was previously uninhabited, full of lush forests and fertile soil. We also believe that there is oil off the coast. We named the colony "the Matthias Islands" after our Prince, with the first settlement and capital of the colony "New Banmala" after our princess.
Rest assured that there was no military action, and nor are we taking land from any person or people. We simply realized that a growing nation needs to take advantage of opportunities and we did so.
