Strange Occurance in Kiravian Colony(Open, MT/PMT)

Forstforest, Xirya
Early yesterday morning, a meteoroid streaked acroos the sky in the Kiravian colony of Xirya, landing near the township of Frostforest. A local resident who cannot be identified, found a pale green metallic crystal at the site of the impact. Shortly after returning to the settlement, he is reported to have disentigrated and dissappeared in the middle of the street. 3 other Xiryans have approached the site, 2 of which have also mysteriously fractalized. The other Xiryan, who prefers to remain anonymous, says that shortly after touching the crystal, he found himself in a large city, and was able to glean that the inhabitants spoke a dialect of English. He claims to have been in the city for about 30 minutes, but according to his family, he returned to the township only 10 minutes later.

The Empire has closed off the site of the phenomenon to civillians, but is calling for forieng scientists to help analyze this supernatural occurance.

[[OOC: Basically, this crystal is a portal to a world that is exactly like RL Earth. I thought it would be fun to see what a bunch of people froom NS would do if they ended up being *ZAPPED* into the middle of El Paso or New York.]]
Official Message from the Ministry of Sciences

To whom it may concern,
Many Akronian scientists are experts in the field of geology, as rocks and minerals from a good part of our economy. As such, we have many experts and wish to send two of them to your nation. They are:
Dr. Chandra M. Farwell
Dr. Samuel Benson
They are our formost geologists and we hope that they can assist you in trying to find out more about this strange crystal.
Signed,
Elizabeth Daygamar,
Minister of Sciences
The Akronian scientists are welcomed to Xirya.
We also applaud the fact that you have a Ministry of Science. Few nations do. It is a sign that the field of empirical knowledge is fostered in your nation.
The Ministry of Sciences was founded only a few years ago. It was the belief of the Prince that as we grow and try to enter the international scene, we should try to do it intelligently. The main job of the MOS is to advance our technology and scientific knowledge.

"I can't believe we got our own jet!" Dr. Benson exclaimed excitedly. "You know how the Prince feels about scientists," replied Dr. Farwell. He looked out the window, seeing land below. "Looks like we're here," he said, as the plane began to descend. "Ya think?" They both laughed.
They stepped off the plane, labcoats fluttering in the breeze. "It's freezing here!" Said Dr. Benson, shivering. "No, it's only like 60." "60 degrees? My god, that's cold!" "It is when you've never left Akronis. Now come on, we have to go meet the Xiryans." The two walked on, not really knowing exactly where to go.
Two Imperial soldiers walked up to the Akronian scientists. Saluting, they said, "Sirs, we've been ordered to take you to Frostforest. Also,..", he paused, reaching into a nearby box and pulling out a pair of coats and cloaks, "We understand that you're from a tropical climate. Xirya is cool-temperate type in that respect, so here's to keep yourselves warm."
The scientists took the clothing, putting them on. Dr. Benson exclaimed "Thank God," and followed the Xiryans. Dr. Farwell smirked and chuckled at his colleague, then asked "So what exactly happened with this meteor?"
"Well," the soldier explained as they walked through the shrieking Autumn wind, "It sturk close to a township called Forstforest, and the people that have been in contact with the crystal have mysteriously disappeared into thin air. Save for one who had some strange hallucination, but survived. THere's a metal crystal in the impact site that's unindentifiable. As of yet, of course"
Clutching his coat close, Dr. Farwell nodded. "We've brought along some supplies that should be able to identify the crystal," he said, motioning at a box under his arm. Dr. Benson's jaw dropped "People dissapearing? Hallucinations? What have I gotten myself into?" "Why is your glass always half-empty, Sam?" The two laughed.
"Ha. Yes, I must say it's pretty creepy. But Xirya's the colony with the 2nd most creepy occurances after Enscirya, according to the Supernatural Affairs Bureau. So pretty much anyone who lives here knows to stay away from strange violet eggs in the forest."
Dr. Farwell, who had been looking at something purple hidden deep amongst the trees snapped his eyes away. "I'll... be sure to avoid them," he said. "You have a Supernatural Affairs Bureau?" Dr. Benson asked, curious.
Dr. Farwell, who had been looking at something purple hidden deep amongst the trees snapped his eyes away.
Much lolz.

"Yes. In fact, the Imperial government in Kirav has an office to handle nearly everything. Although, I'm not exactly sure what they do in the Supernatural Affairs Bureau. It probaly make smore sense than the Alternative Universe Colonial Evaluation Commission."
The other Xiryan supplemented,"Actually, I was involved with a woman who worked in that Bureau. She said that they mostly categorized and recorded unexplained phemoena, evaluated its threat to Imperial security, and regulated the Ghost Tourism industry."
"Verdmis, you sure have a strange taste in women."

OOC- Also many lolz.
"Ah... there is a myth in Akronis about the alleged 'Minisry of Espionage', Akronis's version of the secret-spy, highly classified information, CIA type thing, but... no one's ever proved it's existence. If you ask a government worker about it they'll just laugh and casually change the subject," Dr. Benson said with a smile. "Personally, I belive it's real." Dr. Farwell was about to retort when he noticed a large, steaming crater. "I take it that's where we're going."

"Yes sir. That's it."
There were several people in radiation suits clearing the "CAUTION! DO NOT CROSS" tape from the perimeter of the cater. In the bowel of the depression was a glowing, pale-green, metal crystal.

The Doctors approached the crater, Dr. Farwell pulled a tool for grabbing the crystal out of the box. Dr. Benson leaned in to get a better look, a hand on his colleague's shoulder. Dr. Farwell reached out with the tool and grabbed the crystal, and for a moment nothing happened. Dr. Benson was about to say "Good, nothing happened" when what looked like green lightning shot up the metal tool and onto Farwell's ungloved hand. In a flash of green light, the two Akronians were gone. Had he been able to, Dr. Farwell would have loudly shouted an expletive.

A C-130 landed at the local airport,as a team of Cazelian Marines, scientists and the Secretary left the aircraft, waiting for them to be greeted and escorted to the site
dogs don't carry weapons
OOC: Dogs?
"What the fuck?" yelled Irvin Coldforest, Viceprex of Xirya, who was on the scene.
The two soldiers that had escorted the Akronians, plus a nearby officer, ran for the site where the two Akronians had vanished.
"You reckon..?"
"The hell I reckon!"
Verdmis's steel-toed boot made contact with the grabbing-instrument. Streams of green energy coarsed through him, and from him to his partner, and thus to the officer. In a flash of smoke and green light, they fell into the interdimensional abyss.

A convoy of Xiryan jeeps transported the Cazelians to the site of the impact.
"Son of a bitch!" Dr. Farwell exclaimed, looking around. He was in a city, the forests and open air gone. Skyscrapers rose up as far as the eye could see, and the grass and soil of Xirya had been replaced by asphalt, concrete and cars. There were throngs of people all around, some raising an eyebrow at the Indian-looking people in coats. "Hey buddy! Shouldn't you be driving a cab?" Someone yelled out. The two looked around, amazed. Muttering to each other in Hindi, Dr. Benson said "Farwell, I don't think we're in Xirya anymore."
They walked down the sidewalk, completely lost. "Excuse me, but where are we?" Dr. Benson asked a passerby. "What are you, a retard? You're in New York, dumbass," he replied. Dr. Farwell's jaw dropped, and again in Hindi he exclaimed "New York? That's thousands of miles away! We should go find UN Headquarters."

OOC as in highly trained military Dogs and i'am using the old United States Cavalry team of Troops
Ingram was tired of waiting. He walked over to the site. Just as he was there, his foot his a rock, sending him tumbling into the crater, bringing him into contact with a crystal, sending him, the Marines and the scientists to Washington DC...
Much lolz, Akronis. Very well rp'ed.

The Xiryans rematerialized in front of a building built of light brown stone.
"What the....", he did not complete his sentance, for a group of rough-looking teenagers pointed at them, laughing, "¡Hey, Juan! ¡Mirar a estos idiotas! ¿Qué los individuos lo piensas eres? ¿Día de los muertos? ¡Salir de aquí! ¡Éste es el territorio del Conqistedores!"
"What?" asked the officer in Coscivian. The teenage gangsters drew switchblades and moved towards the displaced Xiryans. Verdmis drew his KE pistol, and aimed it at them.
The teenagers' eyes widened, "¡Mierda! ¡Él tiene un arma!", and they fled.
The Xiryans walked onto the sidewalk. Cars passed them, newspapers and garbage hung in corners, and trees grew along the street for decoration.
A sign was posted in the window of a shop: "Brooklyn Diner"
"Blackmist, We're in America! In New York!"

"what we have here is a teleportation crystal"said a Tech holding something in his hand
"mm "said another Tech just looking at it
"three groups of poeple sent to another location after touching it"said a third Tech
OOC- I may no habla Espanol, but I know what "Mierda" means. And I ROFLed at "We're in New York!" Thanks, BTW
The two doctors, who were apparently Indian cabbies, walked down the sidewalk, lost. They passed a garbage-strewn diner and were relieved to see the guards. "Over here!" Dr. Benson yelled, waving his hands. Even more New Yorkers looked, rolling their eyes at the idiotic tourists in coats.
Lolz. I'll respond tommorrow. It's night where I am now.
OOC- Yeah, it's 9:30 PM here. I've figured out that that would put Akronis at 7:30 AM, on September 23rd. What? Just because I know what timezone my fictional country is in doesn't make me crazy...
The Kiravians rushed towards the Akronians. "Glad to see you're here!" the officer exclaimed somwewhat sarcastically. "We're in New York", said Blackmist, "We need to find some local clothes. You two look like the municipal automotive operators that they have here. I think they're called 'cabbies'. And somone's gonna think we're terrorists, with all this military crap on us."
