In the relatively isolated Elysian Fields on the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy, a cluster of stars overlooked for many years, exist a handfull of planets inhabited by the Clans, the descendants of an exodus made many years in the past. These Clans, formed by the son of General Aleksander Kerensky, Nicholas Kerensky, formed a tenuous alliance held together by common theology and practices.

Ghost Bear...

Wolf...

Jade Falcon...

Nova Cat...

Star Adder...

These five Clans, the final remnants of the Clans, had existed in peace within their pocket of space. Silently, they brooded, awaiting the Unification, in which all five Clans would unite and drive into the heart of the Sol System, into Holy Terra itself, and recreate the mighty Star League, the dream of the Kerensky family. This day was far from coming, though. Until then, the Clans had decided that they would hire their services out to the highest bidder, earning money and resources that would fuel their economy for that coming day.

Thus, they created four mercenary 'Mech companies, each specialized in their own form of combat derived from that of the Clans. They were the Twelfth Star Guards, Narhal's Raiders, the Northwind Highlanders, and Wolf's Dragoons.

-The Twelfth Star Guards are given their name for the simple reason that their tactics rely on defense and long-range artillery. This mercenary company comprises mostly of 'Mechs within the "Heavy" and "Assault" classes, with most 'Mechs armed with some form of long-range missile launcher. The missiles they fire are immediately blessed upon production, a practice souly employed by those of the Star Adder clan, who produces the highest amount of long-range missiles and their launcher pods.
Commander: Star Colonel Adrian Banacek

-Narhal's Raiders are given their name for their emphasis towards lightning raids against convoys and hit-and-run tactics that they employ on large armies. Comprised of 'Mechs only of the "Light," "Medium," and "Heavy" classes, these fierce warriors of both Clan Jade Falcon and Clan Nova Cat rely mostly on energy weapons and short-range missiles, using both to their advantage. The ferocity of these cunning warriors is only matched by the lightning efficient speed at which they operate.
Commander: Star Colonel Arthur Roshak; Star Colonel Amy Winters

-The Northwind Highlanders, as their name suggests, hail from the planet Northwind, one of the homes of the infamous Clan Ghost Bear. These cunning warriors utilize the power of the gauss rifle, a 'Mech weapon considered to be the most powerful weapon in the Clans' arsenal. The Highlanders utilize these weapons efficiently, making use of their long range to act as snipers. The Highlanders use every class of 'Mech, although most of their warriors lean towards using "Medium" and "Heavy" 'Mechs. However, should the need arise, the assassins of Ghost Bear that are employed in this mercenary unit will gladly offer their services, but only at a much higher price than normal.
Commander: Star Colonel Matthias Devon

-The Wolf's Dragoons obviously get their name from their parent Clan, Clan Wolf. These brutal warriors owe their success to the savagery attributed to Clan Wolf, utilizing all 'Mech classes to achieve their goals and utilizing all 'Mech weapons within the Clans' arsenal. Wolf's Dragoons never back down in a fight, choosing to fight to the death when cornered even at the cost of victory. The brutally savage warriors are the most pronounced of the mercenary units offered by the Clans, and are always recommended to those who are in need of a large army in a relatively short amount of time.
Commander: Star Colonel Jessica Shaw

MESSAGE-BEGINS

Greetings,
I am Star General Suriel of the Interstellar Empire. Your recent advertisements have caught the eye of several groups within the Empire and it was thought prudent to establish links first to ensure it was the Imperial Armed Forces where who you where dealing with.

As such we will inform you that excluding special circumstances you will only be contacted by a Star General. If for any reason this changes there will be a code sent with the message {Code Attached}. If you find you are contacted by anyone else without authorisation, you are to inform us immediately and send us the appropriate proof. When we are able to confirm its origin we will be willing to provide cr10,000,000 and if you agree to this contract we will provide an initial bonus of cr100,000,000. We are not at liberty to discuss the reasons for this contract and any attempt to find out through improper channels will be considered a breach of contract and we will terminate all contracts running and any that are not completed at the time of termination will be expected to be refunded.

Now down to Business. While there are no pressing situations that require a contract at the present vigilance is a good trait to have. We are thus inclined to find out as much as possible, so please answer each of the following questions.

(1) How fast are you able to mobilise after receiving a contract? Do you require transportation to the War Zone or are you able to get there yourself?
(2) How Independent are your forces in the field, do you require constant orders or are they able to operate without orders for a long time?
(3) What sort of contracts are you willing to assist with? Would you say have any problems with assisting with purging a City of all life? Or would you only be willing to assist in more conventional combat situations such as assaulting Rebels and International Enemies?
(4) Are your units in full Environmentally Sealed Suits as standard or are they only used in environments they are required?

In Regards to Question One, Please list how fast your drive system is, as if the speed does not match sufficiently with our own vessels we will supply our own transports. The answer to these questions will influence what price we are willing to offer for your services.

It has also been brought to my attention that Raven Corporation, our primary Military supplier is offering your units weaponry. If you are interested you are free to send them a message here {COM-LINK SENT}.

Faithfully
Star General Suriel

[Formal Transmission to the Military Heirarchy of Naggeroth

Transmission arriving via HyperPulse Generator wavelength

Receivable only on Military Channels

Transmission origin: Strana Mechty]

Greetings from the Clans,

I am Khan Sturgis Kerensky, representative of Clan Wolf. While we are...flattered...to hear that we have caught the interests of the Empire, be advised that the services of only one Mercenary Company may be contracted to your military at any one point in time. Furthermore, we have read the contract and will abide by the terms slated on the contract.

As to your questions concerning our means of transportation, we are fully capable of faster-than-light travel, utilizing our JumpShips, each of which is capable of a maximum jump of three thousand lightyears instantaneously, requiring a seventy two hour recharge via solar power before a second jump may be performed. Our JumpShips do not, however, land in-system, landing a short distance outside of the target system's orbit. From there, we deploy our DropShips, each of which is capable of short burst-jumps that allow them to enter the target system quickly and deploy their forces efficiently.

As to the independence of our forces, they need only have generally stated orders. Once those general orders have been obtained, each Mercenary Company will achieve those general objectives how they see fit.

As to the type of contracts, all but the Wolf's Dragoons would be unopposed to the type of contract received. You may discuss in person those details with each Mercenary Commander.

As to our means of survivability, we have our own ways to achieve our objectives on any and all soil. You need not bother with our well-being in this regard.

Furthermore, in regards to the Raven Corporation, please provide us with a detailed weapons list. We shall review it and request what we deem worthy for our units. Please relay this message to them. As custom, we deal only with our employers. Never do we deal with their subbordinate castes. Should you require further information, please defer to the individual Mercenary Companies.

In the name of the Founder, may you fight well in your days.

WolfKhan Sturgis Kerensky

((Seriously, people, this is how I need to supplement my economy. I can't just go to war with anyone and somehow raise money through that. Please hire me!))
