My nation is derived from the Clans of the Battletech franchise.

Freebirth, or natural procreation, is frowned upon and even considered vulgar.

Those who are considered Trueborn, or born within the Iron Wombs, are the only ones who are guarateed a chance to become a part of the Warrior Caste. Any who cannot prove themselves to be warriors are flushed into the Scientist, Laborer, Tech, or Fleet Operator Castes. Freeborn get only one chance to become a part of the Warrior Caste.

Vetalia
23-09-2007, 08:57
The scientific research and educational fields in Vetalia employ significantly more women than men. This is due to a loophole in the discriminatory laws of the Imperial era, which did not restrict the entry of women in to these fields nor did it restrict them pursuing an education in these fields. As a result, this became the main way for women to build careers and currently are the only sectors of the economy where the pay gap between men and women is significantly in the women's favor.

The unemployment rate nationwide is only 2.5%, and is as low as 0.2% in the most developed parts of Vetalia City.

The eastern part of Vetalia is unique in that its local language is part of the Romance family rather than the Slavic. The local language, Baetican, shares many cognates with other Romance languages but is not mutually intelligible.
