I watched Blade Runner a while back and the idea always sat in the back of my mind. The idea of creating an rp based off of the movie. This will take place in...2035 in a city named New Genesis. It is a sprawling landscape of technology mingled with the past. High rising towers of human engineering and a homage to the triumph of human technical prowess as well as seedier aspects of society, altered by a disillusion about globalization and corporate greed. In the future, cyber-genetics is a rising and prominent field and business. A person can be "enhanced". Also, it will be based off of Ghost in a Shell to an extent. Such as bio-tech implants, computerization, connecting people directly to massive databases "like in the series". Also, there as experimental "replicants" being utilized for special purposes "hazardou jobs, military service, and other aspects of human work".
The basic concept concerns a new breed of "replicas", almost impossible to distinguish from real humans. A new taskforce is created Tech Crimes Unit, concerning the unlawful use of technology in criminal acts. A promineant scientist is murdered in his lab and his daughter goes missing. A detective for TCU investigates the incident and discovers a broader conspiracy with great implications and consequences. Mysteriously, the missing daughter is the key to a chain of events with a city-wide impact which could rip this new world apart.
