Am I allowed to take the outline of a country and put my cities and such inside of it?

Of course. Many people adopt RL geography for their NS nations.
Yes, as long as you don't rp the country exactly. You CAN, however, modell your geography of of an RL nation. Welcome to NS, Tylandia.

Welcome to NS there Tynlandia.
As for an example of my own fictitious planet map, when I rp my established FT (Future Tech) nation of the Gaian Ascendancy, I made this map to show my capital world, so you can see maps can be done in any format you can imagine.

So feel free to make your own 'official' map, since it's your nation in the end. remember, originality counts more than rping anything that is RL and all. =^^= And have fun doing it too.

That's what I did. Maineiacs extends over the eastern and central US and Canada, Greenland, and the Carribean.

Thanks everyone. I can tell this is a well connected community of Rpers. I have decided to make my own Map which wasn't that hard matter-a-factly.

Can't wait to see it. Just watch out for the Rp wars (ala Flame wars) that happen around here. Certain forms of realism still apply, sorta... =^^=
